What are people saying about San Francisco

Eating your way through San Francisco!
Absolutely first-rate and Ihave taken severaltours throughViatourand this tour was by far the best. Ryan, our tour guide, was enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Chinatown and the North End. The food sampling was perfect from the items selected to sample to the quantity and quality of both the Chinese and Italian foods. Also, the spacing and timing gave you plenty of bathroom breaks. A highlight was the tea tasting, as I learned so much about tea I never knew.
Overall, a wonderful way to spend 4 hours in a truly iconic city. I feel much more knowledgeable than before I took the tour and credit Ryan's superior communication skills.
Super tour!

Well rounded tour of town
Wonderful day with Jamie- I’m so glad I did this on my first day in town. Gives you a really good feel. Lots of walking but not hard work. Our guide Jamie was positive, well researched, and it was great to be guided by someone who is passionate about their city. Would really recommend this trip!

This is the perfect tour for experiencing San Francisco’s Chinatown
Just under 3 hours of the best tour in Chinatown! Our guide Cynthia was excellent, providing insight into the history of this community through stories, sights, food, and culture. This was the perfect tour while exploring San Francisco’s famous Chinatown.

Marcus is awesome!
The trip started a little rocky with our guide calling after 10 ( trip started at 10) to say they would be at the shop in 20 minutes. Marcus showed up for his 11:00 city tour trip and saved the day. I was able to go on his tour instead- and I'm so glad the first trip didn't pan out!! Marcus knew a lot of San Francisco history, and had a great book on the ride to share even more! If I were to do it all again I wouldn't hesitate to book the city tour with Marcus- worth the 4 hours if you want to bike through all parts of the city. I had plenty of time to bike to Crissy park, onto the Golden Gate bridge, into Sausalito with a quick bite to eat and back to the shop before time to turn in the bike. Thank you Marcus for showing me around the amazing San Francisco!

Muir Woods and Alcatraz
Van is a bit tight and lots of curvy roads. Muir Woods was the clear winner of this experience for me. I booked the trip for Alcatraz but was extremely pleased with Muir Woods. Alcatraz was ok but we went on the weekend so it was a bit crowded. The only negative for this trip was the ferry. They packed people onto the ferry with extremely limited places to sit and standing room was shoulder to shoulder.

The tour was wonderful,...
The tour was wonderful, and the guide beyond informative! Highlights were talks about little known information like where Janis Joplin stayed, amazing little parks which are now required next to large buildings (and a wonderful one at the Transamerica building while eating a Molinari sandwich!). All the food stops were fabulous - a cannoli to start with, followed by a latte or coffee drink of your choice, an amazing visit to the famous Italian deli, fettuccini, pizza and gelato...all the best along with recommendations for other resturants. A fun filled 3 hours.

Do it
This was a very good introduction to Mission district history, architecture, murals, and food. Mark was very knowledgeable about the different food types. Mexican, Brazilian, Filipino, etc. Personally, I liked the lectures more than the food, but the food was good.

Great tour! Highly recommend!
Wow! Linda is amazing! Getting a tour of Chinatown from a Chinatown native was so valuable. She knew such cool old stories and facts about the people of Chinatown. My sisters, Mom and I did a Saturday morning tour and it was the highlight of our vacation. Thank you, Linda! You were wonderful!

Wonderful for everyone
We had a wonderful time and I want others to know, if they have a hard time with steep hikes, they need to be prepared for that. Otherwise, the stories were wonderful. Our family included a party of eight including people who were 12, 16, 21, 26, and 53. All genders and ages enjoyed this.

The Views are Worth it
Overall this was a fantastic experience, although it is a long one. We got to see plenty of views of the valley. I would note that if you are looking to see a lot of big trees - you would be disappointed with this one, I suggest looking at others.
Glenda - our tour guide was excellent. She made for a very enjoyable experience.

San Francisco Ghost Tour
I insisted on a ghost tour on my recent trip to San Francisco and Christian Cagigal’s tour was nothing short of amazing. We met in front of The Healing Center underneath a set of impressive eucalyptus trees. Christian is a self-admitted septic and amazing historian. With a sense of humor and while remaining neutral he led us to several spots of purported haunting sadness. I was impressed with the histories of amazing pioneer women of San Francisco. There was definitely a feeling of eerie anticipation in the areas we stopped at, and Christian even related accounts and anecdotes from members of the communities , both far and in recent times. I left with my curiosity piqued. And I received a set of reference materials to further my education. This hour and a half tour is perfect for you if you are interested in a knowledgeable and easy to follow tour guide, a pleasant evening walk and the histories and mysteries of this culture-rich city. I highly recommend and would visit other events led by Christian . The hills are alive !

Dont think about it - just do it!
Absolutely loved this - so, so, so much fun!!!!! What a genius way to see more of the city without guides and rushing etc.
We couldn't recommend this enough - so you get a little bike/car thing and a sat nav to guide you on your way. The sat nav almost has a personality and makes it so much better - it gives interesting facts along the way and you get to take it at your own pace and skip bits if you dont fancy it. It was brilliant and should be in more cities.

Move over cable cars—San Francisco is a town best explored on foot. The compact city is 7 square miles (18 square kilometers) of dense neighborhoods, historic alleyways, hilltop viewpoints, and urban green spaces. While San Francisco walking tours are great for experiencing the unique character of city neighborhoods—and even a certain world-renowned bridge—they can venture beyond the beaten trails that bus tours rarely tread. They're also often organized around themes such as architecture, hiking, street art, cuisine, history, and even ghosts.
