Very good guided tour
Having walked the ruins before, we never knew what they were. The Roman Forum and Palantine Hill tours give all the info w photos of what it’s believed to have looked like.
The Colosseum tour was informative too.
I highly recommend this guide. Don’t remember his name but born in Japan and cane to Italy as a child

Very accommodating Tour!
Bogdan was a great tour guide! We had a group from age 76 to 12 in our family and he accommodated the age range beautifully. My mother has some mobility issues and ancient Rome is obviously difficult when it comes to footing/lack of hand rails but he knew all the places to make the tour as easy as possible for her.
We also appreciated his in-depth knowledge and sense of humor! A highlight of our trip for sure!!

Patricio provided a great tour. Very good information and keep a comfortable pace. The Tour details were concise and we had not problems finding the guide. The single ear bud for audio was so much better than the over the ear audio offered on another tour I took. Highly recommend.

Great tour of the Forum
The tour of the Roman Forum was amazing. I didn't know what to expect, and honestly didn't know much at all about the Forum, but I found it so interesting. This was not a tour of the Colosseum, however. The tour guide gave a thorough tour of the Forum, and then at the end did an overview of the Colosseum but then we entered and toured it on our own.

Historical and Mindful Afternoon worth all the time and money that I paid
An incredible afternoon listening and learning about the history of the ancient past, seeing sights that I had only hoped to and gaining treasurable knowledge I never heard in any college or graduate course of the arts or history.

Great view of the city and the coliseum
Georgio was great, kept things moving and a very knowledgeable guide. Got us to the front of the line which saved a lot of waiting. Also pointed us to some unused water fountains to refill bottle which was necessary. There are a lot of stairs on this trip so it is tough for elderly people or people with strollers.

The Roman world comes to life!!
Such an amazing experience! Our guide Maxi was very knowledgeable and kept us on pace to see the entire Forum, Palatine Hill, and the Colloseum with explanations, drawings, and historical context to help clarify what was going on in different eras and how weather, politics, and social upheaval changed this site and how it was used from Rome's origin to today.

When to visit

Palatine Hill is a must for Roman history buffs. Older kids also enjoy ancient Rome tours, typically when accompanied by a guide experienced in engaging kids.
Most of the hill ruins are open to the elements, so bring a hat and sunscreen in the summer, and dress warmly in winter.
The archaeological site is spread out over the hillside along rough paths and uneven surfaces, so wear comfortable shoes. The site is not recommended for wheelchairs or strollers.
