A guided expedition one hour away from Quepos in the southern mountains, one of the main attractions and majestic waterfalls of Costa Rica. In a walk of 7 kilometers in total, 3.5 kilometers to get there and return. An experience in connection with nature walking to one of the most impressive waterfalls known as Nauyaca. Starting a 45-minute trip approaching the tropical humid forest until you find the two waterfalls, one 45 meters in free fall and the next 20 meters high that go to a deep natural pool 6 meters deep. After walking in both sections, resting, and snacking, we will be ready for the return hike. On the way back we do a stop to enjoy a costa Rican-style meal before we drop you back at your place. We followed Diego's...

We followed Diego's Whatapp advice and met at the coordinated location outside the park. other guides asked if we had a guide yet and respectfully let us be until we came to the rendez-vous point. The guides help one another. We were asked the name of our guide and told where to wait, as he would find us. The tour was impressive. The excitement of locating different animals, birds, and reptiles came from not only us on the tour, but also Leo. The view points after the tour are also worth exploring, as is a swin in the ocean.

We had a wonderful day with Ian as our guide! He was very informative about the Costa Rican culture and answered all of our questions. He safely navigated us to 2 waterfall locations where we could jump in and swim for a bit and we visited a beach and a coffee shop too! After the Nauyaca waterfall, which was amazing, we had lunch before we came home. It was a great day that I would recommend to everyone!

Great Experience Lots of Wildlife

Our guide Jean Pierre was really good and knowledgeable and we saw some amazing wildlife including both types of sloth! He took us on a great route through a quiet part of the park avoiding the big crowds. We booked an early tour and stayed in the park after for a few hours, with the knowledge Jean Pierre gave us we managed to spot some animals on our own including an anteeeter. The tour finishes at the beach inside the national park and we would recommend staying there after as the beach is very nice! Would recommend this tour and our guide Jean Pierre, very good tour.

I had an incredible experience birding with a local guide! He was knowledgeable, patient, and literally gave me and my friend a glimpse through his eyes with his binoculars! He had a bird encyclopedia on hand that allowed him to show us the many different stunning bird species we encountered along the way. Highly recommend this to any nature enthusiasts and ornithologists!

Highly recommended family activity

We had a great experience with OcenKing catamaran adventures. We booked the sunset tour with dinner. We saw some dolphins along the way. The snorkeling part was really just getting into the water rather than snorkeling, as the water was not clear enough to see anything under the surface. Some other boats were anchored closer to Beisanz beach where the water was shallower to be able to see the floor. But there was a water slide and a jump area if you are adventurous. The fish served with dinner was very good. We also able to see the sunset without clouds covering it (which often happens considering how unpredictable weather is around here). They also provided transportation both ways to the tour. Finally, the staff were super nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

Trip highlight

The actual zip line experience was wonderful. A very attentive staff that makes you feel very safe. They were fun also. I had kids from age 10-18 and we all loved this. My 14 year old said it was his favorite part of our trip, and he was very hesitant to do it in the beginning .The food they served was delicious along with the peach iced tea. I didn’t take any stars off for this part but the instructions to drive to the canopy area from where you check in was very unclear. We ended up driving much further than needed looking for a “big sign you can’t miss”.

Great experience! The trip included round trip pick up from our Air Bnb with a short ride to the ATVs. From there we had a great time riding the ATVs to go see a waterfall and were able to swim. We also were provided a great lunch at the end. The guides were super safe and friendly. Definitely recommend!

A fine evening on the water

Our guide Javier is a wildlife whisperer. We saw birds (potoo, pauraque, wood-rail, tiger heron, green heron, pygmy kingfisher, green kingfisher), basilisk, bats, cayman and crocodile, iguanas. Although it rained, we remained dry within the boat. We skipped the dinner (and notified them beforehand) because it is served too late for both us and our grandchildren. The tour kindly provided free transportation back to our hotel right after the cruise!
