What are people saying about Queenstown

Highly recommended, highlight of my South Island trip
My only regret is that I did not choose the full day tour (which I'm sure would have been very much worth it). I came to the south islands with a group of acquaintances who could not care less about these cites since they weren't "instagramable" enough. So I am very glad I took the half day to do this tour without them. Our tour guide Amy was very kind and knowledgeable, offering a lot of informative facts about the scenery and movies tied to it, and even helped everyone take photos when asked. On top of that she even gave us some recommendations on food in the Queenstown area. Would 100% recommend to anyone who is remotely interested in LOTR, as it allows you to enjoy the cites and film locations with people who actually care and are interested. Would definitely go for the full day tour if I am ever back in Queenstown.

Absolutely stunning day
What a fantastic experience! I got to sit in the front (one of the benefits of being a solo traveller) and she asked if I wanted to hear all the transmissions from air traffic control/other aircraft, which was really cool! The scenery was SO stunning. The flights were definitely the highlight, although the cruise was incredibly cool as well (we saw dolphins and even a penguin!!) I also appreciated how proactive the company was, reaching out a couple days before and letting me know the weather wasn’t looking good, which gave me enough time to switch around my tours, and fortunately the day I’d switched to had good flying weather!

Arriving on the TSS...
Arriving on the TSS Earnslaw in style we were treated to the most sumptuous dining buffet experience ever. New Zealand Seafoods, Venison, Wild Boar along with lamb, chicken, beef and a huge variety of side dishes, (both hot and cold) Charcuterie boards, desserts and candy bar! The food kept coming. The staff were so attentive from the welcome wave as we arrived to taking care of us all during our meal and taking drink orders. Everything was impeccably presented. The farm show after dinner was super entertaining and a visit to the store is a must! Best night ever. Then home on the steam boat with the lights of Queenstown twinkling and guiding our way. Entertainment on the way home by grand piano with a sing along.

Stunning views
Absolutely amazing bucket list stuff! The girls in the office with helped to change our date due to poor weather conditions. The day was well organised and our pilot Michael was awesome and explained what we were looking at and let us know if there was going to be a few bumps. The boat tour at Milford Sound was stunning and also well organised! AMAZING!
