Overview
Skydive in Queenstown—New Zealand’s outdoor adventure capital—and jump from 9,000, 12,000, or 15,000 feet (2,700, 3,600, or 4,500 meters). After a safety briefing, board a small plane and tandem skydive with an experienced guide. Free-fall at speeds of up to 124 miles (200 kilometers) per hour, then relax as you float beneath your parachute high above Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables mountains.

Start your Queenstown skydiving experience with a short drive from downtown to the drop zone, located at the base of the Remarkables mountain range and beside Lake Wakatipu, which serve as an impressive scenic backdrop for your tandem skydive adventure.
On arrival, a professional jumpmaster provides a full safety briefing before you take the ultimate leap of faith into the sky. Don a provided jumpsuit and goggles in preparation for your Queenstown skydive, choosing to descend from 9,000, 12,000 or 15,000 feet (2,700, 3,600, or 4,500 meters) in elevation. Then, board the small plane and check out the razor-sharp peaks of the Remarkables as the aircraft reaches optimum altitude. Feel your adrenaline pumping as you freefall before your tandem instructor pulls the safety ripcord and you float effortlessly together through the air.
After, order freefall photos and/or a video for bragging rights (available for purchase) before your transfer back to central Queenstown.

- Each passenger is required to complete a medical questionnaire prior to their skydive.
- All persons over 95kg are subject to Tandem Master assessment at the drop zone.
- The minimum weight is 40kg/88lbs and all passengers must be big enough to fit safely into the harness.
- Passengers under 18 years of age must have written consent from a parent or guardian.
- Risk Warning: Your participation in parachuting activities is inherently dangerous and may involve risks. These risks include, but are not limited to those arising from prevailing conditions such as weather or health conditions you may have. Despite careful packing, the parachute may open abruptly or not open correctly which may result in injury. Unintended incidents may occur during the aircraft flight, descent or on landing.
- Parachuting is done at the parachutists' own risk. Any person parachuting, training to parachute, flying in any aircraft being used for parachuting or participating in any activity carried out by Skydive Wanaka or NZONE may only do so on the distinct understanding that they do so entirely at their own risk.

After all the health and safety checks have been completed the real action began. After being geared up the plane ride to the jump takes about 15 mins which was a good ride with views of the lake and mt remarkable ranges. The jump it self takes about 5 mins till you reach the ground. I had a good instructor who made me feel calm. The free fall is so quick it finished before I could take it all in and the landing was so smooth.

Amazing, easy, fun, well organized! First time skydiving with an amazing view. The saying go big or go home, do the 15,000 ft longer air time and incredible experience skydiving then a paragliding view. 100% safe and fun!

The experience was amazing overall, and the view was spectacular! The only downside was that i felt dizzy during the free fall because we were turning left and right often (though that might just be personal preference). Instructor was there throughout the experience, and while the process felt independent, everything went smoothly in the end.

This was honestly the best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I went with my girlfriend, they kept us together in the same jumping group, were super helpful, and made us feel so safe! It was such an amazing experience and everything from the beginning to the end was truly 100/10. Super easy process, straightforward, and they ease your nerves if you have any. We felt super safe and comfortable the whole time! Highly recommend!!

It was really awesome. We enjoyed every bit of the experience and it was well worth the money. Also, the photos and videos we got afterwards were amazing. I went with my 13-year-old son and we both had a blast. I would highly recommend it, and would definitely do it again!

Only one hiccup was the experience getting delayed 2-3 times due to weather and a long 1-1.5 hr wait time at the base, otherwise the overall experience was amazing.

SO MUCH FUN!! The views were incredible - from the plane and on the way down! The entire experience was professionally handled. We felt safe, informed and prepared. The staff was fun too!! The photo/video package was so worth it for the amazing memories. My cousin's first jump ever and now he's ready for more! Just do it!

My family of 4 booked the tandem skyjump from 12000 feet and it was one of the best adventure experiences for us. Booking on the Viator website was easy. We were lucky with the weather and were able to do the skyjump on the scheduled day (just got delayed by 30 minutes).
The positives - The skyjump tandem instructors are knowledgeable and they make every effort to ease our fears. They gave easy and clear instructions and video recorded the entire experience. We felt safe and comfortable to do the jump despite being our first time ever. The skyjump location in Queenstown is breathtaking with a beautiful view of the mountains, the lake and the greenery all around.
Things that can be improved - The debrief can be given at the sky jump location itself instead of insisting us to visit their store in downtown for 30 minutes and then heading to the dropzone. The debrief video itself can be posted on the website for all the jumpers to view before hand and avoid waiting time.
The price of the video recording can be reduced especially when compared to the jump itself.
All in all still a worthy adventure experience that anyone visiting Queenstown must do.

I never imagined I’d go skydiving—but I gathered some courage and went for it! NZone manages the entire experience with absolute professionalism. The instructors are true experts and make you feel completely at ease.
If you’re on the fence, just do it. The feeling after the jump and landing is incredible. Honestly, it’s only uncomfortable for about 20 seconds, and once the parachute opens, it becomes peaceful, with stunning views all around.
It’s an unforgettable experience. Go for it! 🪂

Nothing short of amazing! If you are unsure about skydiving or scared because it you have never done it before I highly recommend this company. They were organized, professional, and guided you through step by step the entire process and what to expect. We dove at 15,000 feet and it was spectacular! The adrenaline rush, the views, the spins, and the amazing photos/ video you get at the end was great.

It was incredible. Amazing views, amazing instructors, functioned like a well-oiled machine. Never felt unsafe. I have no plans to skydive again but if I was going to I would come back here. Angus was a great instructor and flew with my buddy 5 years ago. Crazy coincidence.

Nzone are really well organised: it was a very smooth check-in in their office in town, and at the airstrip. All the staff that helped us were really friendly, and my tandem instructor was really calm, friendly and respectful.

NZone does an excellent job...all the staff members are very professional and helpful. My wife and I felt very safe and well taken care of throughout the event. I'm 83 and this was my first jump...you are never too old to try something new and exciting. Luckily for us, it was a blue sky day and the scenery was unbelievable.

OMG- best thing ever. Did this with my two teenagers. What a day! The team at NZone are fantastic. My instructor, Linsey, was the best- put me at ease from the get-go and explained everything as we went, as well as having quite the sense of humour 😄 He also took the time to explain more about the parachutes, packing techniques etc after the jump, with my kids and me. Chris and Ivan were also wonderful instructors for my kids. Thank you all- a memory with my children I’ll be forever be grateful to have 🙏

Booked a last minute 12,000ft skydive and had a wonderful experience. The check in and briefing went smoothly and we headed to the airfield on the shuttle. Once there, they were quick to get us our gear and on the plane. My instructor, Angus, was fantastic and helped me have a wonderful time! Highly recommended!!

I am from America and the times are different we are a day behind and our cell service doesn’t work in New Zealand well. They refuse to give me a refund after the weather wouldn’t allow us to sky dive

What an amazing experience! This was my first time skydiving and I can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner! The team were great at organizing our takeoff. And the views were incredible! I’m very happy that I chose to do it in Queenstown as my destination! I will forever treasure this moment! Highly recommend NZONE and paying for the photo/video package.

This was my first experience skydiving ever and the crew at NZONE were total pros. My jump master Patrick was great and put me at ease before the jump and I was oddly calm leading up to it. Overall great experience and the views in Queenstown were beautiful on the way down. Our weather was partially cloudy, so we only got the full view once we fell through the clouds. Photo/video package was worth it to me.
