Memorable tour with brilliant tour guides

Long day, lots of walking (wear comfortable shoes) but oh so worth it. Two very memorable places to visit. Salt mines were fascinating, Isabella our guide in the mine was brilliant. Auschwitz-Birkenau was very moving, and our tour guide Anna was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable and very easy to listen and was one of the best tour guides I've ever had in my many travels. The luxury mini bus made the travel between sites very comfortable and Thomas our driver and coordinator was brilliant. Would definitely recommend this tour.

Auschwitz Visit - Great service from start to finish

Managed to pick up a last minute tour for six of us just before we left for Krakow. We should have booked earlier but didn’t realise how much demand there would be. Viator were really good from start to finish. Instructions were easy to understand and minor changes were easy to accommodate.. Transport was very good (Mercedes minivan) and driver spoke excellent English. Would happily use again.

Miss informed

Would recommend the trip to see the salt mines but check first on the transfers and payments for the mine as I was conned payed of this site but it only covered the transfers and not dropped off at the bus station which was a 20 minute walk back to my hotel ,then had to pay separately for the tour ,which was amazing

Picked up on time from hotel driven to the lovely wooden village where we had vodka and smoked cheese which was delicious. Zakopane cable car ride was super but we feel 2.5 hours to kill walking around was a tad too long. The spa was lovely experience but again, 3 hours was a long time. We feel perhaps the trip could’ve been a little less time than the 11 hours overall. Glad to say we had the experience and it was great value for money. The guide Symon was very informative and extremely friendly.

A Long Day

The day before we were advised of 05:30 pick-up. Driver was punctual. After about 1.5 hrs we arrived at Auschwitz. We were handed off to a licensed Auschwitz guide who stayed with us for the next 3 hrs. The tour was emotional & sad & at times felt rushed. We appreciated the guide’s knowledge, passion & very good English.

Great tour.

Such a great tour. Would definitely recommend. Our driver/tour guide ‘walker’ was very knowledgeable and accommodating to the whole group. A definite must do if visiting Poland. Would recommend taking dinner/drinks along with you as you don’t get time to stop and dress warm if going around October as it’s quite chilly.

Highly recommend, what a lovely day!

We had a fantastic day out to Zakopane and the thermal baths. It was made even better by our brilliant guide, Olaf! Olaf was extremely informative, funny and friendly throughout the day, keeping us updated at every stage. The WhatsApp group was also a really helpful touch and made everything run smoothly and stress-free. We started by visiting a lovely little Polish village before trying traditional sheep’s milk cheese and sampling some vodka. It was a really enjoyable experience and a great way to learn more about the local culture and traditions. We then continued to Zakopane, where we went to the top of it mountain on the funicular train. We also had time to explore the market and town, wander around the shops and enjoy something to eat. The day finished at the amazing thermal baths, which was the perfect way to relax after a busy day. There was so many thermal pools to choose from and everything was so clean. Loved it there especially the outside pool.with the swim up bar. Our guide Olaf provided plenty of useful information throughout the whole trip, making everything easy, enjoyable and well organised. His humour and knowledge really added to the experience, and we never felt unsure about what was happening or where we needed to be. Overall, we had a wonderful day from start to finish and would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Poland. A big thank you to Olaf for making it such a memorable experience

reflective Auschwitz visit

A lot of walking, around 10,000 steps in total, but well worth it. Our guide was really informative and conveyed the necessary info without sensationalism. I really did not want to go on this trip, it was my partner who wanted to do it, but I am glad that I did. Very sad, but a warning from history.

The booking with Viator has been pain free. A professional service and very helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend them if you intend to book. The only thing I would suggest is be mindful that the timing that you book can change right up until the last few days. The pick up from the hotel (by Mark) was excellent, a good journey to Auschwitz in a comfortable vehicle. In Auschwitz, a very moving and emotional site. This was brought to life by our guide (sorry don’t know his name) who was so knowledgeable on the subject. Throughout the visit he gave us an excellent understanding of this tragic history of our forefathers. It is something that I believe everyone should visit in their lives just so we never allow ourselves to make the same mistakes again. My only criticism is the groups walking around the site are so tightly packed that on occasion the guides end up talking over each other. Our tour was originally scheduled for 0930hrs and was finally scheduled for 1530hrs, so when we got there it was a massive rush to get around both camps before it got dark. 1830hrs. We stopped twice for ten minutes in that time which was difficult for elder people. On the whole though, an excellent visit,very reasonable, professional service and helpfull. Thanks Viator. Rob P.

Great experience from start to finish.

Our driver contacted us the day before to confirm pick up time from our hotel and also offered a packed lunch if needed. He picked us up on time in a clean and comfortable minibus. Our tour guide at Auschwitz was excellent, knowledgeable and respectful. The tour itself is well organised and remained dignified throughout. It involves a lot of walking so dress appropriately for the weather and bring snacks/drinks as breaks were short and queues for vending machines very long.

A somber, yet important, experience about the tragic history of Auschwitz-Birkenau that I wish every person could experience to never forget these tragedies. Tomasz was our driver for the day. He was incredibly kind, courteous and respectful. It’s a long, exhausting morning so I greatly appreciated him dropping us off at our pick up locations.
