My husband and I, originally from Toronto, travelled from Osaka for this day trip to Hiroshima. We made anrr for the bullet train ourselves. Our Hiroshima tour guide, Rino, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and had an excellent command of the English language. She went out of her way to make sure everyone in our group could approach her and ask questions. While our original reason for travelling to Hiroshima was to visit the Peace Museum which we found quite moving, we also thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon visit to Myijiuar Island. I would definitely recommend this tour.

An absolutely essential experience in Hiroshima. Our guide, Thomas, managed the impossible: breaking down a massive, emotionally complex historical event into a narrative that was clear, deeply respectful, and incredibly moving. Walking through the Peace Memorial Park and seeing the Atomic Bomb Dome with his insightful context completely changed how I understood the history. It is factual, human, and unforgettable. A wonderful day in the Port of Hiroshima

Wow what a wonderful day we had in port with Akie to show our group of 8 friends around. We started the day meeting her at the station after clear communication where exactly to meet. Our 1st stop was across to the lovely Miyajima Island where Akie showed us the sights and explained what we were seeing and also allowed us to experience some flavours on the island… delicious!!! What a beautiful spot that we would happily return to. Back across to the mainland for a delicious okonomyaki lunch before the sobering sights of Hiroshima. Akie explained everything we were seeing so well to us all. We then finished the day at the museum able to walk around at our own pace. We all agreed what a wonderful day we had made even better with having Akie as our guide for the day. Her English was very good and her communication with me prior to the day was excellent. Do yourself a favour and book this wonderful tour and if you’re lucky to get Alie as your guide is an added bonus!!

Great overview of the memorial

Tour guide was Daniel, who was very knowledgeable. He is doing a PhD in Hiroshima and his ability to address complexities overall was good. We did not go in the museum, he left that to us later. My understanding is it gives more vivid accounts/ pictures of nuclear attacks and fallout. We did not have time for that. The tour was of the memorial and he did a great job explaining it's history and what each part represents. It is a sober tour, but that is expected given the topic at hand. Very good experience.

This was fantastic. Mari was a phenomenal guide. She has a personal family connection to the atomic bombing and she’s lived in Hiroshima all her life. She was knowledgable; funny, and respectful of my goals (sites, time spent, photo taking). And lunch was great afterwards!

Hiroshima Peace Tour

Our guide’s name was Sam. He spoke about impeccable English. Our tour was filled with anecdotes and introductions to each major component of the memorial. My wife was recovering from knee surgery and our guides kindly paced the experience to her rate of speed. At the end of the tour, we asked for a recommendation to an Okonomiyaki restaurant and Sam gave us a wonderful place to go. All-in-all, a great tour with wonderful hosts.

A wonderful trip to Miyajima, all thanks to Eiji!

We have been so lucky to have Eiji as our tour guide. Not only did he reach out weeks ahead to arrange the details of the tour, but he also provided us with various options for the itinerary, so that we could choose the one that best aligned with our interests. Moreover, he handled us with the outmost grace and managed to give clear information about everything we visited, without ever being boring. Memorable Hiroshima Tour

I had a most memorable tour of Hiroshima with Kazuko. She was from the region and was such a treasure trove of information. I was transported and understood really well the history of the city and its development through Kazuko's eyes. Kazuko was so personable and friendly and was a great friend to me. I will forever remember her and her the wonderful experience that i had with her.

Good 2-part tour....

Good 2-part tour. Hiroshima Peace Park was a great place, though it was a little crowded, lots of school children. The Peace Museum has a large permanent exhibition of photos, artefacts and records, maybe take care deciding whether to bring kids here. But for us the real highlight was Miyajima, we would have loved to have spent more time there. Our guide was great, lots of information and interesting stories to share.

This tour had all the sights and sounds and smells anyone would need on that special island and then to come back to Hiroshima City Center for the monuments tour was exceptional.
