A complete cultural visit of Bangkok main attractions

Pick up from and back to hotel was smooth. Meeting with guide at the assembly point was on time. Guide is fluent in English and answers questions and was knowledgeable. As a solo traveler I didn’t find myself alienated from the group, as guide was keeping an eye on everyone and group them together. All places on the program were visited. Generally speaking I liked this trip a lot.

Very good, luxury cruise

The cruise starts at 6.45 pm, not 6pm advertised. Food delicious, entertainment very good. Live dancing, Muay Thai and opportunities to have photos taken with performers. Roof top allows spectacular views. Unfortunately the water was too high for the cruise to go north, under bridges. We went south.

Lovely day seeing the railway market and the floating market. Very reasonable and lunch at the floating market was so good. Enjoyed the chicken panang. Escaped the rain thanks to our guide Sam who was great for keeping us on track. Drive Jame was good to keep us hydrated and safe driving. Recommend this hard working team. These two locations are usually a combo tour and yes there’s lots of other groups there. But it’s something different and fun! Our guide took lots of photos of us which I will treasure forever.

Entertaining, informative, and delicious!

We met Joe, our tuk tuk driver at the scheduled time and location. He was polite and friendly. We really didn’t know what to expect, but trust me, racing through Bangkok with Joe in control of the tuk tuk was truly an adventure. At our first stop we met Sarah, our tour guide. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating so we did not visit the Buddha temple at that stop. Sarah was apologetic, but promised we would see other temples after the restaurant stops. Sarah is well versed in the history of Thailand and provided an education on that history throughout the tour. An added benefit was her genuine friendliness and politeness. She made us very comfortable walking through the streets of Bangkok and browsing through shops. I know this review is intended to describe the food, and it was delicious at every location, but people make a difference too. In our case Sarah and Joe made us feel welcome in a foreign land, all the while introducing us to tasty cuisine along the way. As my title says: entertaining, informative, and delicious. Oh, yes, a lot of fun.

Excellent food tour!

Excellent! Som and Pepe were super. Som was extremely knowledgeable about each stop. She educated us about the food and each establishment, and clearly had a strong rapport with each vendor. Pepe made sure each stop was ready for us and at the end was invaluable in helping us get our Grab to go home. We had never done a Viator food tour before - highly recommend!

A fun filled river immersion

The overall experience was very good. The service at the start, receiving and settling us in was very good. The overall ambience and staff service good. Food was standard and could be better but was offset by the music group and the fun they generated. The variety and quality of drinks was also good.

Amazing service,wow!

The moment I walked out of the plane, my agent was waiting for me. She was polite, kind and considerate. We went to the VIP lane without any trouble. She told me that it’s usually a 1 - 3 hour waiting time to get through customs. Thank god I paid extra to skip that and head directly to my hotel. More time to have fun and unwind after a long flight.

Bangkok by night with Duck: great food, lit-up temples and a fun tuk-tuk ride

We were a group of 4 on this evening tour and it was a highlight of our time in Bangkok. Our guide Duck was fantastic: friendly, funny and full of stories about the city’s history, and she kept the whole night relaxed and well paced. Half the fun is the tuk-tuk ride itself, zipping across town in the evening air, two to a tuk-tuk. We started with street food in a local Thonburi neighbourhood (quail eggs, spicy skewers and more), then climbed the big white chedi at Wat Prayoon for city views and saw the turtle-filled rock garden the monks look after. From there it was a night loop of the old town: the City Pillar Shrine, the Grand Palace lit up, Loha Prasat and the Giant Swing. We also stopped at the flower market to learn how to fold lotus petals, had pad thai at a famous old shop, and finished in Chinatown with mango sticky rice and sorbet. Plenty of food is included, so come hungry - and plenty of fun too. Highly recommend!

Bangkok’s hidden canals with Fluke: history, lizards and a lock!

We were a group of 4 on this morning canal tour and it was a real highlight of our trip. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed, given a bottle of water and a seat right on the canal, where we watched monitor lizards swimming and squabbling on the far bank while we waited. Great entertainment before the tour even started! Our guide Fluke was excellent. As we cruised the quiet back canals by longtail boat, he explained the history of Thonburi and its khlongs, how this side of the river was once the heart of Bangkok, and why it earned the name “Venice of the East”. We passed through the Artist’s Village, saw everyday canal-side life, and got a great view of the giant golden Big Buddha at Wat Paknam. A unique moment was going through a lock to get from the canals out onto the Chao Phraya River, as the water levels are different. For our tour, it finished on the riverbank opposite Wat Arun, handy for the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. A relaxed, fascinating way to see a side of Bangkok , I am glad we did it.

Chinatown Culinary Delight

Our tour guide, Kwan (?) was really great! She walked us around to many different vendors in Chinatown, explaining the history and specialty dishes of each vendor. We tried many varieties of dishes, including soups, skewered meats, dumplings, rice dishes, noodle dishes, and fruits. She took us on a culinary adventure through the back streets and obscure little restaurant shops of Chinatown. Any suggestions we wanted to try, she obliged and bought us tastings. We tried many different unusual desserts as well. The sticky mango rice was a definite dessert highlight! Overall, a wonderful tour, exceptional value, and highly recommended; we would never have tried so many of these delights if it hadn’t have been for this tour and our wonderful guide! Awesome Family-Friendly Food/TukTuk Experience

Our guide Gimao was awesome (funny and full of personality and knowledge). Meeting up with the guide was easy as it was right by an MRT station exit. We were off in a Tuk Tuk and the mode of transport can’t be beat. Getting to see the sights as we zipped around from place to place. A brief walk through Chinatown was incorporated into the itinerary which was a great way to get some steps in between the food. Our 10-year-old is a bit of a foodie so there were no issues there. Capped off the evening with a drink and a view before an unexpected complimentary return to our hotel via Tuk Tuk. All in all a great way to spend and evening in Bangkok.
