Breath taking views

Absolutely stunning views of the algarve caves and beaches. We upgraded to the wind for a more intimate experience. The sailboat has capacity for 18people and there were 2 families with a child each with us. This was a 20euro/person upgrade and it was well worth it. It also included snacks and beverages. Plus a choice of tasting of port wine (2), albufeira wine (3) or liquor (5). The boat also had 2 clean bathrooms which was great for a 3 hour trip. At the cave you are able to take a ride on a platoon boat into the cave. There is time for a swim but we opted out on since it felt quite cold. This tour was well worth it and our captain Rocky and hostess Marta were both very friendly and attentive. Hands down one of my favorite excursion we did in Portugal and would go again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Benagil Cave Experience!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a great time on our Benagil boat tour! The views were absolutely amazing, from the salty breeze and sparkling blue water rushing past us to the thrill of speeding across the open sea. We loved the mix of racing over the waves and slowing down to carefully explore the caves, where golden rock walls, cool shadows, and shafts of sunlight made everything feel magical. Our skipper was a true pro, making it all look effortless, while our guide brought so much energy and personality to the experience. He was knowledgeable, fun, and kept everyone engaged. What really stood out was how they took the time at the end to share some of their favorite local spots and recommendations for our time in Lagos. Such a fun and memorable experience with a fantastic crew. We would absolutely recommend it!

A great morning on the water

It was a fantastic day on the water with Alexei. There were paddlers of all skill levels and he was able to make the experience memorable for all. He provided some interesting history and perspective on all the different algars (caves with roof openings) we explored, including Benagil. There is no better way to visit these incredible spaces than with a small group in kayaks.

Exhilarating boat trip

There was nothing better than having Gabriel and Osvaldo as guide and captain on this tour. I'm glad we chose the rib boat over the catamaran. We first went in search of bottlenose dolphins and came upon a pod of about 50 individuals, many of whom were feet from the rib boat. It was exhilarating seeing them close up. We then toured the Benagil Cave system. The rib boat was more maneuverable, allowing us better views than the larger boats. Yes, we got a little bit wet in the back. Tip, I would tip/ask the young lady at check-in to sit in the front row. We then stopped for swimming and many of us dived into the ocean and swam for about 15 minutes, very invigorating. When we returned to the dock, Gabriel recommended a restaurant for us and we enjoyed ourselves. I think it was called the Blue Table. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Don't miss out on it and be sure to request Gabriel and Osvaldo.

Just what we ordered. A nice trip on a boat watching the coast of Portugal. The crew was nice, the guide spoke good english and was funny. Our whole family liked the trip a lot and we surely recommend it! The 1,5 hour trip was good length, but we could have been longer. Very big thanks to the crew of our trip!

Relaxing, Great Views, Safe and Worth Every Penny!

This experience was fantastic and worth every penny! We went out (2 people) for the two hour private ride with Thomas, where we motored along the coast and got up close to all of the beautiful rock formations. The boat was nice, safe, clean, and we were able to play our own music! Thomas gave us some background on the rock formations, and let us jump off to swim as well. It was a perfect afternoon and I highly recommend!

You know how the hype doesn’t always match the reality. Not in this case! The water is as blue as the pictures. The caves as amazing and the coast as stunningly beautiful. Our guides were entertaining and knowledgeable. Take a smaller boat so that you can get right into the caves it’s magical.

Excellent tour!

This is the cave tour you want! I can’t believe how many dolphins we saw! It had to be 30 or 40 of them jumping out of the water and they were so close to the boat. Really outstanding! The caves themselves are pretty standard to be honest, so I would be sure to get yourself a cave tour that has something other than just the caves. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and we had an exceptionally clean and well operated boat.

Awesome tour.

We’ve had an amazing safari tour. Our guide Diaz was terrific. He was very knowledgeable about all things in and about Portugal. He had such a great way of explaining things. With a lot of humor, insight and enthousiasm. Furthermore, the sites were really beautiful and great to see. And sitting in the back of a safari jeep was a real fun experience. I would definitely recommend going on this tour.
