Great trip for a shorter tour experience. We got to the meeting point early and had no idea if we were in the right place. There were no signs nor representative waiting. A bit stressful. A really pleasant and beautiful day. We were looked after by Vitor who was great fun, he got the whole group laughing and in a good mood from the off. The cruise along the river was gorgeous, we drank wine and ate food and took it all in. The tour of the family port making house was excellent. The port was delicious and we bought some to bring home. A fantastic day out. I would put aside more than 6 hours as was advertised. It took more like 8 but it was worth it.

What made the day especially memorable was our fantastic guide, José. Personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, he brought the region to life through his engaging stories and insights. His attentiveness and friendly nature made the experience feel personal rather than simply another organized tour. The itinerary was beautifully paced, allowing us to appreciate the spectacular scenery, explore the wineries, and enjoy the charm of this remarkable wine region without ever feeling rushed. The perfect finale was a wonderful traditional Portuguese lunch, featuring delicious local cuisine and what seemed like an endless flow of excellent wine! It was a delightful way to conclude an already exceptional experience. From beginning to end, everything exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough, and if you’re fortunate enough to have José as your guide, you’re in excellent hands. An absolutely unforgettable day!

Great introduction to Porto, with one area for improvement

This tour was a wonderful introduction to Porto, particularly for anyone with mobility challenges who wants to see a lot of the city without extensive walking. Our guide was excellent, and we were able to see and learn about so much of Porto. My only criticism is that it was difficult to hear the guide unless you were seated immediately next to him. He spoke at a perfectly reasonable volume, but between the noise of the tuk-tuk itself and the surrounding street traffic, much of his commentary was difficult to hear. A microphone with headsets or earbuds would have made a significant difference, allowing everyone to hear clearly and fully enjoy the information being shared throughout the tour. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience, and I would recommend it, especially for visitors looking for an accessible way to explore Porto. I hope the company considers improving the audio setup, as it would allow all participants to have an equal experience.

Fabulous well organised trip and Chris was great and very friendly! It’s a one and a hour hour journey each way but well worth it as the scenery is so beautiful. Highlight of our trip! Our guide Teresa was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal. We visited several authentic food venues, a tavern, a bakery, a wine store. The food was delicious and so wasn’t the beer, wine and port. It was a small group of nine so we also met some wonderful people. Recommend!

Very enjoyable day trip from Porto with a knowledgable guide. Simone switched from French to English with ease to keep the multi-language group informed. The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte and Braga Cathedral are amazing - if you want considerable dwell time to fully immerse yourself there you’d be better to organise your own visit as they are quite short stops. But as a multi-stop day trip where you’re driven about in an air-conditioned bus and given a good historical introduction, this is a really good value experience.
