What are people saying about Normandy

We had a wonderful...
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Adrian. He is extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day history and speaks excellent English. The tour vehicle was very comfortable for our party of eight adults. We visited St. Mere Eglise, Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach and of course the American Cemetery. I can’t say enough about Adrian’s knowledge of WW2 and the area and people of Normandy. Highly Recommend!!!

A day in Normandy
This was an amazing experience. Myah our guide was so very informative and interesting. I can’t remember our drivers name but he was very good as well. It was a very emotional experience. We saw the beaches, both the American and German cemeteries and the museum. There was so much to see and learn and it was done very well. Myah also brought a delicious lunch of ham and cheese on a brioche roll , chips and macron cookies. We would definitely recommend this trip and Myah to anyone interested in going on this excursion.

Normandy Tour
Julien provided us with a great day in Normandy. Everything was seemless from pickup to dropoff. We were able to get a lot in in one day from Paris. We started a Point Du Hoc went to Omaha Beach had a wonderful lunch and then on to Bayeaux. We are so grateful to have had his knowledge and backround to give us an amazing day.

So glad we were there
If you are connected to Dday you need to see the real place. I already knew, not just from movies, a lot about that day but our guide added many details I was not aware of historically, but seeing Omaha from up with the Germans then go down to the low tide line and look at what our men saw is truly chilling. The place is idyllic looking today but very glad this tour showed me the horror of what those heroes were running towards on 6/6/1944. Thank you VIATOR for the experience. Check your email soon before your pickup time, we presumed a slightly different pick up spot in Bayeux and never saw where the actual spot at Place du Quebec was but our terrific guide Pauline came and found us! If their guides are all like her your in good hands. She was very personable, knowledgeable and gave us enough time on our own to feel the experience personally, at least I did. If you're at the American cemetery at 4:00 pm to watch them take down the flags and hear taps echoing across the beautiful setting, try not to cry.

The northern region of Normandy is one of France’s most emblematic, boasting centuries of history, iconic cuisine, and a rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Visiting the D-Day Landing Beaches and World War II sites rank among the most popular Normandy tours, but guided visits can also add depth when checking off must-sees like the Bayeux Tapestry and the Mont St Michel monastery. Beyond the headline acts, exploring Normandy like a local means embracing the slower pace of life: explore the countryside by e-bike or sidecar, stop for a cider tasting amid the orchards, or stroll the waterfront of Honfleur or Deauville.
