What are people saying about Yorkshire

Great fun, and we learned a lot too!
Our guide and driver - Mark - took great care to build a warm relationship with us all at the start of our day’s adventure, briefing us on important safety and “don’t get lost” procedures and building us into a close-knit team. He was an excellent speaker and very knowledgeable about York and the surrounding countryside. His presentation was interesting and engaging. He welcomed questions and answered them with confidence. He took us to a number of locations where we had to be careful of our footing, or where due to crowds we might get lost or separated, but each time, he kept us well informed, well organized and safe. We learned a lot from his presentation, and had a lot of fun too. It was a great and valuable way to spend our day.

A rare jewel in the heart of York
If you ever wanted to meet someone truely special, then book this tour. Mad Alice could bring any topic, from the past to modern times to LIFE....
Her reviews speak for themselves but more importantly is the genuine review of a beautiful decent, and kind women with so much talent. But her caring doesn"t come from doing the tour for the past 12 years.. Its easy to see she's a people person.
When she touches your life, its with a degree of positivity that is rare.
"Mad Alice" you have so much potential to expand and the world is your oyster...
An absolute PLEASURE to have meet someone so beautiful...

Wonderful tour of the Dales and all creatures sites
it was a lovely trip to the Dales of Yorkshire and visits to places that we would have seen in all creatures great and small like the town of grassington where the vets lived and where the pub is, and you can see the actual pub with the name drovers on it. Ben, our driver was very knowledgable and talked to us throughout about the areas in the details and we also visited the Wensleydale creamery.

Greg was a wonderful...
Greg was a wonderful driver and guide. The vehicle was easy to spot at the meeting point. Greg was friendly and full of good information, and was also willing to answer our other questions about the region. Whitby is a nice town and there was more than enough time to see the abbey and get fish and chips. There were other nice stops for photos along the moors and in little villages. The steam train was fun as well. Highly recommend.

Great York experience - ghost tour
My first ghost tour, and I would thoroughly recommend to everyone to go on one.
Daria was a fantastic story teller, engaging and funny, she told so many great stories of York. Giving us a great history lesson of the place, and so many great sites.
I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants an informative and unforgettable experience.

Highly recommend
Great experience. We were a family of 4 which included an 11 and 8 year old. I was worried the tour might be too scary but the way the stories were told was perfect. Just the right amount of spooky with great humour thrown in. Our tour guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable, giving historical facts before the tour had even started!

Fabulous way to see Whitney and more!
This was such a great tour. We stopped at a couple of bonus places not listed on the itinerary and saw so many beautiful things. Ben was a knowledgeable guide, and Bob made sure we got everywhere safely. We saw so many pheasants and grouse, we lost count! We were surprised to find out that the tour also included a steam train ride. What a great day!

Great Ghost walk in York
Had a great Ghost walk in York with Lew (or is it spelt Lou??). He was a really good guide. We picked this tour as it wasn't people jumping out and scaring us. We wanted to find out a bit of Ghostly history of York and we did. It was a really fun experience. There were only 9 in our group which was a nice number and felt very personal. We saw other groups that night with at least 30 people in them, we wouldn't have wanted that as felt we would have missed so much. Very interesting and fascinating facts about York, really enjoyed the evening

Fun and Interesting
Went on this experience with my wife and two children (6 and 3) and we all had a great time. We enjoyed the introduction explaining the chocolate making process as well as the tasting samples, my 6 year old thinks he's an expert now! Then there was a great variety of flavourings and ingredients to add to our own chocolate once we got stuck. All four bars made were delicious and didn't last long once we got them back!

The most comprehensive York tour in all of York.
Dave is so knowledgable and truly joyful about his history niche that this tour is overloaded with reasons to go. It was unique in that it was open-ended - as long as we wanted to make the tour. He offered an all-day option - though I left after 3 ish hours and a lovely coffee break, during which Dave also demonstrated his James Bond trivia expanse. Rarely does one see someone so enjoying his job.

Fantastic day!
Gorgeous scenery, and a smaller passenger van encouraged conversation between the passengers and let us get to places we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Chris was a fantastic guide and driver, picking us up right outside our lodging. He made several small stops in the course of our day, where there was an especially scenic view or something interesting to see. The museum visit, and stops to see the All Creatures Great & Small filming spots were a treat, and Chris pre-ordered our selected lunches at the Devonshire Arms ("Darrowby Arms"), which was delicious, and allowed time for us to visit the village.
We've done a few tours on our trip (Whitby, which was nice, the Cotswolds, which were gorgeous in their own right), but this one was our favorite!

Worth the day trip.
There was a mixup at the beginning due to an Uber driver, but the Mountain Goat help line and the driver took care of me and I had a wonderful day. Although I had taken a different tour of the Dales the day before, each driver had their own interests and experiences so it didn't feel like a repeat although we visited some of the same places. It is a beautiful part of the country and you appreciate how isolating it can be through the winter months. A tour worth taking.
