What a charming, friendly and knowledgeable family who run this experience. Jack, the brother, ran our group of 16 and we toured their garden and saw some animals, picked vegetables that would be part of our dinner. He gave us a brief yet fascinating history lesson on some of the buildings on their property. Then we returned to begin the prep for our meal. The food by the way was absolutely delicious, and an abundance of it. At the end of the evening (which included wine, Kitron and a shot of raki) we celebrated with Greek dancing and plate smashing. Highly highly recommend this experience! Definitely a highlight of our vacation.

This was an absolute delight! I don’t have much interest in cooking but my partner does. I thoroughly enjoyed the history and knowledge of the guide. The farm is so beautiful. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Naxos.

We absolutely loved our experience at the farm. It was such an authentic way to learn about the farm, the island of Naxos, and its local food and traditions. The meal was incredible, we’ve been in Greece for six days, and it was by far the most authentic and delicious food we’ve had. The lamb was unbelievably fresh, tender, and perfectly prepared with just a few simple ingredients that let the quality shine through. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Naxos, and we can’t recommend it enough!

This class was a fun way to learn about the farm to table process of Naxos. The instructions were easy to follow and picking the fresh vegetables was a fun addition to the process. You will take a tour of the farm, so make sure you are in comfortable shoes!

Jacob was fun, informative and engaging. We truly enjoyed our time on the farm, picking ingredients from the garden, seeing the animals, hiking the surrounding area, preparing the food, and of course, the meal at the end. Even my uncoordinated body was able to dance and enjoy myself at the end! 10*

We absolutely loved the cooking class experience at Basiliko Farm! The time included a tour of their farm including picking fresh vegetables, cooking 4 dishes using the vegetables we picked, a short walk on their property to an old tower (with accompanying history along the way), and a lovely feast. 10/10, would absolutely recommend to anyone going to Naxos!

My friends and I booked this a few days before, and it ended up being the top moment of my trip! Hands down, a wonderful experience. Day started with touring the farm, prepped items (beginner /user friendly!) and walked the property then enjoyed food and danced. Laughter, smashing plates and truly can’t recommend enough. I can see why this has so many five star reviews.

We had such a fun time in this cooking class! There was a bit of cooking, a bit of history, a farm tour and education about Naxos as an agricultural island. We learned so much ! And of course the Greek dancing and smashing plates was a blast at the end of our meal!

This experience was outstanding. We were with our four children ages 8, 10, 14, and 16 and everyone had an amazing time. We toured the working farm and gardens, picked vegetables to use in our cooking, had a wonderful walk around the grounds, cooked and ate amazing traditional Greek food and danced!

Excellent afternoon so much fun!
Do not drive, google maps sends you on roads that aren’t roads, and when you do find the road to the venue, it’s vertical! Get a taxi as also the wine freely flows!
Also to note, not much cooking is done. You will basically chop veg and make stuffed vine leaves and stuffed veg. That being said, I would still recommend, just don’t expect a typical cooking class.

What a lovely family and farm! I don’t think I can say anything much that hasn’t been said.. but we learned SO much about the environment, opportunities and challenges of this area. We made dolmas from grape leaves we picked. Met so many new friends. Drank, danced, broke plates. Our favorite memory from Naxos 100%

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Naxos! The Basiliko cooking class was so much more than a cooking class—it was a truly authentic and immersive experience that gave us a deeper appreciation for Greek culture, food, and family traditions.
The experience begins with a tour of the family's beautiful farm, where we met the animals, explored the gardens, and learned about the many plants and ingredients grown on the property. We loved learning about their farming practices, water sources, olive oil production, and local traditions. One of our favorite moments was picking fresh grape leaves that we later used to make dolmades. Along the way, we also learned about the history of the buildings, the surrounding landscape, and the role the river have played in the property's story over the years.
The cooking portion was fantastic. Everything was hands-on, educational, and fun. The family shared not only recipes but also the stories and traditions behind the dishes. The food was absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of it!
What truly made the experience special was the family themselves. They were warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing their way of life with visitors. The evening ended with music, dancing, and even plate breaking, creating memories we'll never forget.
If you're visiting Naxos, do not miss this experience. It's the perfect combination of culture, history, food, hospitality, and fun. We would recommend it to anyone and would happily do it again!

Oh my goodness! This was so great! We are a group of travelers aged 18 to 55 and we enjoyed the history, the tour, the cooking class, the food, and the wine!!!
The route up the mountain at the very end is a little scary but worth it!!!! We used My Naxos Transfer to haul our group of 7 from our hotel and back and our driver Paul was AMAZING!

The food is amazing and the host very entertaining. The family is the 5 generation of the farm. The food is all from their farm. The wine is also their own and delicious. The Greek dancing and the breaking of plates is a great ending to a perfect day. I would do this again. Highly recommended.

This cooking class was one of the highlights of our entire Greece trip! I attended with my 23-year-old daughter and my 13-year-old son, and we all had an amazing time.
The family who hosted the class made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly friendly, patient, and fun, and it felt like spending the afternoon with old friends rather than taking a class.
We loved learning how to prepare authentic Greek dishes using fresh local ingredients, and everything we made was absolutely delicious. The experience was hands-on, engaging, and enjoyable for all ages. My son was just as involved as my daughter, which made it a wonderful family activity.
Whether you are traveling solo, as a couple, or with your family, this is truly a must-do experience in Naxos. It gave us a deeper appreciation for Greek culture, food, and hospitality, and created memories that we will talk about for years to come.
