What are people saying about Naxos

What a fun experience!...
What a fun experience! Katerina was a wonderful host - so friendly and knowledgeable. We had a small group (just four of us, including myself and husband) but she made it engaging and fun, and the food she had prepared was delicious (we were so full!). Definitely a great class, and worth booking if you are visiting Naxos.

We really enjoyed this...
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Hector, gave us a glimpse of local life, the history of the island, and the wonderful food. He was fun, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and interesting. We shopped for local vegetables, tasted local cheeses, walked through the old town, and finished with a fun cooking class and a delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this tour!

Fresh food, music, sunlight, joy, true Greece
This experience could not be more worthwhile and has been the highlight of our first time trip to Naxos. To be hosted among the native Naxos Greeks and spend the time cooking together, enjoying music and dancing among the natural sunlight, flowers and vegetation was a wonderful experience. We picked the vegetables, and were shown how to make the freshest food and breads in a traditional oven, and celebrated life with Naxos wine and music. The host also walked us around the area to visit the local churches, an old statues carved from Naxos marble. We felt a real connection with our hosts, the land and the rich cultural life on the island. It was everything we hoped to experience far from the touristed coast. (I also happened to mention to the host that it was my birthday and she baked me a delicious fresh Greek orange cake and sung happy birthday among the guests. I could not have been more thrilled and delighted!)

Perivoli Farms on Naxos is an absolute must-do! It’s an authentic, joyful, deeply memorable farm experience that exceeded every expectation. Our guides, Stamos and Soto, welcomed our family with warm hospitality and led a tour that blended hands-on farming, history, and local culture in a way that felt personal and effortlessly engaging. They walked us through their family olive groves, showed us the potato field with infectious pride and extraordinary knowledge. They explained olive oil cultivation and tasting with clear, down-to-earth detail and brought Naxian traditions to life with vivid stories about food and seasonal rituals. We met the farm animals who are deeply cared for and immediately gained our affection and appreciation. Their explanations connected the land to the people and the plate. We learned not just how things are grown, but why they matter to the island’s heritage. The meal we cooked together was spectacular: fresh, simple, and so delicious! Everything was made with ingredients from the farm. We paired it with the farm’s own wine, relaxed under shade, and felt like guests at a family celebration. The highlight was the spirited dancing and plate-breaking! It was joyful, celebratory, and so much fun for our teenagers and the adults alike. The whole experience felt safe, playful, and unforgettable. Practical details: family-friendly, the hosts were patient with questions, and the setting is beautiful and rustic. This is perfect for families, couples, and anyone who wants a genuine taste of Naxos, that brings different families and cultures together, without feeling “touristy.” Thank you Perivoli Farms, and especially Stamos and Soto! Don’t hesitate. Book now!
