Fantastic “Jeep” Tour A++++

Wonderful experience with the Green Zone Tours. The Defender was fantastic. We had the full day tour. We loved sitting in the back. Carlos our driver was fantastic, funny and very helpful and pleasant to be with. He was so accommodating to everyone. We saw everything and also some special places off the path. The weather was excellent. Best dang tour lunch I’ve ever had at Lagoa Azul Fantastic!! Top tip, pay some extra for the other desserts that are not included ;) the cheese cake and pineapple cake was wonderful. Local beer is included with the tour and was very good.

Our tuk tuk guide Tomas was a delight to spend a couple of hours with. Professional, knowledgeable, good stories, good driver, personable, respectful and fun. The drive in and around Ponta Delgado gave a good insight to the area and actually made me want to experience more of the island. The stop at the Pineapple Farm was a plus. Go for it !!

WOW!!! This trip was 11 out of 10!! You will not be disappointed if you book this trip. We are on a transatlantic cruise and decided to book this trip instead of a ship offered one. Ricardo met us right when we got off the ship and let us to his 4x4. He was very polite and welcoming and we felt right at ease immediately. Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. His stories were fantastic and entertaining. He definitely made it so we want to come back and experience the Azores again!! A Great Way to See the Lakes and Countryside

The tour operators couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating! Nice too that all the staff spoke English as I have no skill in Portuguese and fairly limited Spanish. The side by sides were well taken care of and in good shape. They got us all setup on operating things and then we headed off to our ultimate destination of the twin lakes. Along the way we make 3-5 stops and were given a lesson in local history and about life on the island. I spoke with both guides (one leading on a quad and the other at the tail end) at various stops and they were quite fun to speak with! Tons of travel through the countryside (You will love this excursion if you like cows!) that is quite green and beautiful. We were here in spring so lots of thing in bloom! If you are traveling on a cruise ship like we were, allow for extra time to find a taxi at the port. We were quite surprised that no taxis were lined up to take us places. We talked to a boy in high school that spoke excellent English and he helped us to find a Taxi! The ride was about 20 minutes and it took us about 1/2 hour to find a taxi. On the return trip the tour operator called a number of taxi's out to pick us up and take us to Ponte Delgado. A great way to spend 3-4 hours!

Great Start to Our Family Vacation in the Azores!

This is an amazing tour of Furnas! Gabriel was a wonderful guide and we learned so much about the history of the islands, the culture, and the Furnas region. We highly recommend adding on dinner as the Cozido Das Furnas was a very unique experience. The thermal pools were so relaxing. We traveled with our two teenagers who thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you Gabriel for a wonderful tour!

Wonderful day!

Our tour guide Sylvia was very friendly and we enjoy spending the day with her. We got to spend several hours seeing all the highlights of the island. She ate lunch with my husband and I at the restaurant that served local stew and we had a lovely time. The gardens were amazing and we really enjoyed the tea plantation and the pineapple greenhouses. It was a wonderful day.

Best tour of our time in Azores

On our e-bike around Sete Cidades the weather started off cold and wet. Warren , our guide asked us several times if we still wanted to go and told us we could get a refund if we wanted to stop. We all wanted to continue. Even in the cold and blustery winds we had the best time. Warren was informative and made sure we all were good the whole time. The scenery was fabulous and the information was great. I would do this again any chance given. Don't let a little wind deter you as the weather got sunny and a tad warmer down by the lake. Cannot recommend this tour enough.

Amazing wildlife!

Gorgeous views of Sao Miguel. Amazing wildlife, we saw so many dolphins and 3 blue whales! Once in a lifetime experience. Not for the faint of heart motion sickness wise, the seas are pretty rough and many people had a hard time. I got a prescription patch ahead of time and felt perfect, definitely do that haha!

Great way to spend a day with some interesting highlights. Tea plantation was a good location for a glimpse of the countryside and a chance to grab authentic souvenirs. Furnas was absolutely worth the visit and the traditional lunch delicious. My favourite part was the Botanical Gardens and thermal pools. Recommend this tour, our guide was great!

The 2-day tours was really nice. Andrea, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic, one of the best tour guides. One of the best adventures in the Azores!

I joined the canyoning tour with Ipa and Warren back in August (yes, writing a bit late) — and honestly, what an unforgettable experience! The guides were super encouraging and fun — thanks to them I managed to jump from heights I never thought I could! The zip line was definitely my favorite part, pure joy and adrenaline! Also loved that they captured everything with a GoPro — getting the photos by email afterward was such a great surprise and a perfect way to relive the memories. Huge thanks to both Ipa and Warren for making the adventure feel safe, exciting, and full of laughter. Let’s just say this experience left me not only with great memories but also with a huge smile that lasted long after the tour!

Great time being out in...

Great time being out in the open air and seeing many areas in the Western half of Sao Miguel, Azores in the Dune Buggies!!! Great guide and the rest of the people in our group were great! The only thing I would recommend to add to the trip is to provide goggles for everyone as especially with wet roads you get a lot of road debris thrown back at your face. Sunglasses are not quite enough protection by themselves! Great trip and would definitely do it again!!!
