Great tour and good variety of Greek food

We enjoyed this tour and would recommend it if you want to learn about the various staple foods in Greece. The guide was very informative and took us to several different places. Make sure you arrive hungry - there is a LOT of food! At the end of the tour, we had full-sized gyro sandwiches, and then we ate loukamades - delicious donut holes filled with cream and drizzled with Nutella. SOOOO good! We found loukamades another day too - yum! Great tour!

Our tour guide Andy was exceptional…he checked in a day before to give us an update of what to expect and confirmed the pick up time. He was very knowledgeable of the Greek history. He made us feel very relaxed. He also took us by a restaurant I wanted to visit later to get an ideal of where it was located and how far it was from our hotel. We provide snacks and drinks and directions on how to get to the different places once at the site. Andy also sent a follow message to make sure we were settled and if we needed help with anything else.

We had a ton of fun...

We had a ton of fun visiting all 3 of the accessible monasteries! Our tour guide was funny and very personable and made the experience fun & we very much enjoyed hearing about the different stories of each monastery. The trip also included stops to some super nice picturesque spots! I would definitely recommend taking this trip - super worth it!

Very interesting tour

We found the tour very interesting. It was very hot and there is little shelter. Our tour guide was great. She had fantastic knowledge and was able to answer any questions. Amazing views from the top. The day we went there were three big cruise ships in the port. This meant it was very busy. Beware… It is very slippery where the stones are shiny and worn. Wear suitable shoes. We saw someone fall down the steps.

The Acropolis and Parthenon is non-negotiable when visiting Athens. It is the history and soul of the city and monumentally important to the development of democracy. Our guide Marissa made the history come alive and was so engaging and passionate. She explained how this site was the evidence of the first democracy and how Greece was pivotal in changing the world. Wonderful trip outside Athens

Elizabeth was our tour guide on this great day exploring Delphi. She wasn’t just providing information when we arrived at the main site, but also explained what we were seeing around the city as we departed on the bus from our Athens meeting point. It was like two tours in one, which was great. The bus was comfortable and had WiFi. We had a stop on the way for bathroom breaks and to get any coffee, snacks, etc before continuing on to Delphi. Overall it was an excellent planned day trip.

An Incredible Journey Through Greek History

From beginning to end, this excursion was absolutely phenomenal! Unfortunately, I arrived a bit late, but the team at Athenian Tours went above and beyond to make sure I didn’t miss out. I was incredibly grateful for his kindness and for the entire team’s willingness to accommodate me. Once the tour began, it only got better. Nancy, our tour guide, was outstanding! Delightful half-day trip!

This was a delightful half day trip from Athens that included transportation, historical information from our friendly guide, beautiful stops and lots of information along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the brief swim stop and were well aware that the food and entrance to the temple were not included. But so worth it! It was fun to meet other travelers on the 12 passenger Mercedes van as a bonus!

Fun day on the water around Athens

Overall fun day and good excursion. A few thoughts * water is very salty. Do not expect to really snorkel and see anything. * at the 2 Islands we landed, good swimming areas in walking distance from docked boat. * at island we're we anchored, swimming somewhat treacherous. Everyone who stayed in water.more than 5 minutes had a tubes to hold on to. * Lunch was really good and plenty of food. Beer and wine flowed freely. * only downfall was getting good from hotel to and from trip. Think about 1 hour travel with their arranged pickup. Lots of traffic. Athens. Think of it as a tour of the city.

Fun & cool!

Agelos was great! He tooks us to see many amazing views and into the nooks and crannies of the neighborhoods around the Acropolis. He made us all comfortable ,had a lot of good jokes, shared details about the city with us and the culture of Greece, and made the tour, fun and entertaining. Our 14-year-old son really loved it.
