What are people saying about Melbourne

Long, but very worthwhile Day to Twelve Apostles and The Great Ocean Road
Be prepared for an early pickup at 6:45a.m. and 2.5 hours on the bus to get to the Twelve Apostles, but by doing the reverse tour gets you there early before everyone else. About 45 minutes outside of Melbourne there is a stop for coffee, restroom at Maccas (McDonalds). After TTA, you move on to Lard Noch Gorge, Melba Gully rain forest, koala "hunting", The Great Ocean Road - lunch in Apollo Bay where the curried scallop pie was quite tasty followed by Dooley's ice cream and some souvenir shopping. Then, the road is a bit curvy and twisty so you may want your Dramamine or sea bands if you get motion sick. Quite dramatic scenery along the coast. We saw some kangaroos and white cockatoos at one of the brief stops. Then, on back to Melbourne with a 7pm arrival. Our guide Steve was a good natured bloke with just a little bit of non-pc cheekiness to make it interesting. He had a lot of good information without being too long winded. He made sure the guests were doing ok, provided water and had the bathroom breaks paced quite well.

An excellent sampling on the nature outside Melbourne
This was an excellent tour! I’m not usually interested in group tours but this was a great choice when I only had one extra day in Melbourne. We saw a good cross section of the natural area outside Melbourne—beaches, koalas, kangaroos, the rainforest—and yet it didn’t feel rushed. We had the right amount of time at each stop. The reverse itinerary and small group size helped too. But perhaps the best reason to choose this tour over others was the guide. He was great! Very knowledgeable about the local geography and history and a good storyteller. It helped us feel more connected to the places we visited. I highly recommend!

This ended up being one...
This ended up being one of my favourite experiences in Melbourne. Rhys was an excellent guide; he shared lots of interesting little tidbits of information throughout the day which made some of the more monotonous parts of the journey fly by. The Brighton beach boxes were the first stop and probably not somewhere I would have thought to visit on my own; great spot for photos! The Moonlit Sanctuary allowed us to see koalas, kangaroos, and so many unique Australian animals up close. The Penguin Parade was the perfect way to end the day. But be warned: you can't take photos to protect the little ones, but it honestly makes you appreciate the experience even more. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne, especially if you're an animal lover.

Fabulous day full of fun!
This day trip was amazing! The guide was super nice and the activities were so mich fun! I loved the billy dilly ride. Even with some rainy weather we got the steam engine and could sit on the edges. That was a once in a lifetime experience! I am also a huge fan of the sanctuary! For me as a wildlife lover we could have stayed there a bit longer and skip the chocolate factory but anyways, I enjoyed every second! Can highly recommend this trip!
