What are people saying about Melbourne

A win for the penguins!
This was a really good day trip and well worth the money. As a solo traveller with mobility issues I often struggle making my own way to tourist attractions, so I find guided tours the best way to experience as much as possible whilst travelling. The first stop was Moonlit Sanctuary - this is a lovely place, where you can see koala and hand-feed kangaroos and wallaby’s (if they are hungry). There are a few stops before the highlight of penguin parade to allow you to take in the stunning scenery. Our tour guide Jono, was both knowledgeable and humorous and made the coach journey enjoyable and entertaining. Obviously the penguin parade was the best bit…but this does involve a fair bit of walking (probably not by most people’s standards - but as someone who uses a walking aid, I feel this is worth mentioning) All photos and video recording of penguin parade is now prohibited, due to people not listening to the guidelines about no flash/lights as it disorientates the penguins migration path. However, so many selfish people refuse to abide by this rule. The is a lot of pushing and shoving to get good views of the penguins on their waddle up the hill. This was a little intimidating - but there were plenty of workers trying to manage the crowds. Overall it’s a great day…but it’s so over-sold! There are 1000s of people at penguin parade in the evening, and I hadn’t expected it to be quite so busy.

Cliff sides, beach and tropical forest walk and wildlife.
We did the reverse trip so we had the long drive in the morning. Even though it was long, it did not seem that long. The vehicle was very comfortable. We stopped halfway through to take a break and pick up breakfast if you wanted to. Marty was our driver and gave us great suggestions for breakfast and at our lunch stop. He was a great commentator going out and coming back. Very knowledgeable of the area and conducting this tour. We were provided enough time at each stop to go down to the areas we wanted to and take pictures and just enjoy the beautiful scenery around us. We saw several kangaroos. The koalas were hard for us to spot but Marty was able to spot them pretty easily and point them out to us. Highly recommend this tour.

It was an amazing tour,...
It was an amazing tour, John’s energy and charisma is amazing, he was happy to use his microphone to tell the history about the Great Ocean, and every destination that we have in our tour, and making all of us laugh during the whole tour! And he included us a morning tea! Such a great experience with him! Thanks alot! 😎

Highly recommend this tour and tour guide Marty.
Highly recommend Marty our tour guide on this trip who went out of his way to make sure we were all having a great day. Puffing Billy was a great adventure I will always remember, then onto San Remo for fish and chips and off to the magical penguin parade. It was a long day but extremely well planned out and super enjoyable. I definitely recommend this trip.
