Fun, Interesting and Totally worth it—tour guide Dave was great!
5 Stars – Fun, Interesting, and Totally Worth It We took the Beneath the Streets Underground History Tour during our trip to Seattle, and it ended up being one of our favorite activities in the city. Our guide, Dave, was fantastic. He clearly knows Seattle's history inside and out, but what made the tour stand out was how engaging he was. He didn't just rattle off facts, he told stories that really brought the city's history to life. You could tell he enjoys what he does, and that enthusiasm made the entire experience more enjoyable. We were traveling with two teenagers, and Dave did a great job keeping them interested throughout the tour. He mixed in plenty of humor and jokes along with the history, which kept everyone entertained and engaged from start to finish. It's not always easy to keep teenagers interested in a historical tour, but Dave absolutely pulled it off. I've actually taken underground tours with both companies that offer them in Seattle, and while I think both are worthwhile, I would definitely choose Beneath the Streets if I were doing it again. The experience felt a little more personal, and Dave's storytelling and personality really made the difference. If you're visiting Seattle and trying to decide which underground tour to book, I'd highly recommend Beneath the Streets. And if Dave is your guide, you'll learn a lot, laugh a lot, and come away with a much better appreciation for Seattle's fascinating history!

5 Stars—Highly Recommend Evergreen Escapes and Marty!
5 Stars – Highly Recommend Evergreen Escapes and Marty! We booked a Mount Rainier tour with Evergreen Escapes while visiting Seattle, and honestly, it was one of the best parts of our trip. From the start, everything was incredibly well organized. They picked us up at our hotel and reached out the day before to confirm the pickup time and let us know exactly what type and color vehicle to look for. It's a small touch, but it immediately gave me confidence that we were in good hands. Our group only had 10 people (their max amount of guests on a trip), which made the experience feel much more personal. The van was clean, modern, and comfortable, with plenty of room to stretch out during the drive. On the way to the mountain, our guide Marty stopped for a restroom break and had fresh pressed coffee, tea, hot chocolate for our kids, and several delicious breakfast breads from a local bakery. What really set this tour apart was how much Marty knew about the area. Even before we got to Mount Rainier, he took us to several off-the-beaten-path spots with beautiful waterfalls and amazing forest and mountain views that we never would have found on our own. We happened to visit over the July 4th holiday weekend, so the park was packed. Traffic into the Paradise area meadows was being controlled by park rangers (rightfully so), and the estimated wait from where we were stopped was over two hours. At that point, it looked like our chances of reaching the famous wildflower meadows we wanted to see were pretty slim. That's when Marty really showed how experienced he is. Instead of sitting in traffic, he came up with a plan--he found a safe place to park and led our group on a lesser-known, but established trail. The hike was about a mile and moderately challenging, but it ended up being one of the highlights of the day. We walked through beautiful forests, stopped at incredible overlooks, spotted black bears in the distance eating huckleberries, and ultimately made it to the meadows and the incredible views of Mount Rainier that everyone had come to see. When it seemed like the holiday crowds might derail the day, Marty found a way to make it happen. His knowledge, flexibility, and positive attitude turned what could have been a frustrating situation into an unforgettable experience. After exploring the mountain, we hiked back down and enjoyed a fantastic lunch that the Evergreen Escapes team had prepared near a waterfall. The day still wasn't over—Marty continued taking us to scenic viewpoints with incredible photo opportunities on the drive back to see the mountain and other great natural areas. We were so impressed with Evergreen Escapes that we booked a second tour with them to Olympic National Park later that same week. This company truly thinks of everything. They provide water, snacks, and even hiking boots if you need them. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the experience. I can't recommend Evergreen Escapes, and especially Marty, highly enough. If you're looking for a small-group tour with excellent guides, great service, and people who genuinely care about making your trip special, this is the company to book with.

5 star day with Evergreen Escapes and Claire
5 Stars – Another Outstanding Day with Evergreen Escapes After having such an amazing experience with Evergreen Escapes at Mount Rainier earlier in the week, we booked a second tour with them to Olympic National Park—and somehow they exceeded our expectations again. Our guide for this trip was Claire, and she was absolutely fantastic. With a background in Marine Biology and Environmental Science, she brought so much depth to everything we saw throughout the day. It wasn't just a sightseeing tour; it felt like getting a personal lesson from an expert who was genuinely passionate about the region. Whether we were driving through the park, hiking through the forest, or taking in the mountain views, Claire was constantly sharing interesting information about the ecosystems, wildlife, geology, and history of the area. We visited Hurricane Ridge, explored beautiful old-growth forests, and enjoyed some incredible scenery throughout the day. One thing we really appreciate about Evergreen Escapes is their small-group approach. Because the groups are small, there's flexibility to adapt the day based on weather conditions, timing, and the interests of the guests. At the start of the tour, Claire asked if there were any specific places people wanted to see. I had seen photos online of a beautiful spot along the water and showed them to her, not really expecting anything to come of it. To my surprise, she immediately recognized the location and knew exactly where the photos had been taken. Even better, after we completed everything already planned on the itinerary, Claire realized that spot was nearby and found a way to fit it into our day. She took us there, pointed out the best areas to explore, and gave us time to enjoy it on our own. It ended up being one of my favorite stops of the entire trip. What impressed me most was that Claire didn't just drive us from place to place—she truly listened to what the group was interested in and went the extra mile to make the experience special. Everyone in our group loved the additional stop, and her knowledge and enthusiasm made every location even more memorable. After two tours with Evergreen Escapes in the same week, I can confidently say this is one of the best tour companies we've ever traveled with. Their guides are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure guests have an incredible experience. A huge thank-you to Claire and the entire Evergreen Escapes team. If you're visiting Seattle and considering a trip to Olympic National Park, don't hesitate to book with them—you'll see amazing places, learn a tremendous amount, and come away with memories you'll never forget.
