Caleb was a great tour guide of the area and was easy to chat with. Kavalan is worth visiting if you enjoy good whiskey.

My wife and I rode through one of the longest tunnels in my life. I think it was over 20 minutes driving at normal speed. Then when we got to the other side, there was the east side of Taiwan and Turtle Island. It seemed like a different side of Taiwan with a less hectic atmosphere than Taipei. Very nice.

We had so much fun and exciting tour to Yilan Kavalan whisky.. our tour guide is very knowledgeable about the history and heritage of the Yilan . And the best tour guide that we had ever- I would like to commend to our tour guide: JACKSON and JACKIE

We had an incredible 3-day tour around Taipei, and every moment was a delight! On the first day, we explored the impressive National Palace Museum and the charming Lin A Tai Historical House, where ewe learned about Taiwan's rich history and culture. We visited the local Lan Yang Museum at Yi Lan on the second day, stopped by a scenic spot for coffee and enjoyed a tour of the Kavalan Whisky Distillery—such a treat for whisky lovers! On the third day, we experienced the enchanting streets of Jiufen with a traditional tea tasting, and then headed to Shifen to release a sky lantern, making unforgettable memories. Lunch recommendations were perfectly tailored to our tastes. Our driver and guide, Justin, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and so accommodating. His passion for sharing Taiwan’s beauty made the tour even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Steven waited for us punctually at our hotel lobby. And the excellent experience started from here on. My wife and I were well taken care. Steven is Knowledge amd share with us a lot of information along the way. I would recommend this your if you like a bit of everything, traditional tour, whisky, beach and sea view

It’s such a fun day to spent in Yilan with the guide Paul. He knows the best of Yilan☺️. We went to Kavalan Winery. It’s such a pleasant place to visit and the whiskey is the best gift to bring home. Later on we went to a dried fruits shop and a soap store. The preserved sour orange is from local and it taste so original and healthy… so many other kinds of dried fruits and drinks are also made locally. The soap stores are refreshing for a warm day to visit. I can spend an hour in the sweet world of scent of essential oils and soaps made there using local herbs and plants. Later that day we went to see the quiet Plum lake and my daughter gave me a ride in the electric bike, it was specifically fun for her😆. At the end of the day Paul showed us the traditional culture village. It’s impressive how the old tradition and culture was described in new form in the same media like paper, porcelain, precious stones, fabrics and even stage shows. Of course we enjoyed food and snacks too. It’s a happy day, and Paul is so helpful and down to earth. Thank you Paul!

Our driver/guide Hicks Wang did an excelent job during the entire tour. From the drive through Taiwan's longest tunnel, at the distillery, the Traditional Arts Folk Park, the Fishermen's Harbor, Waiao beach and the Mr. Brown Coffee at the top of the mountain, he provided a fountain of information and background on each place. It was a great last full day in Taiwan and highly recomended. The five different Kavalan whiskies we tasted were pretty good, too!
