Wow, this is the best way to see Milford Sound
This was an amazing day. While it may seem long, the drive does take a fair few hours but with opportunities for scenic photos and a coffee/toilet break it goes by really quickly. The Milford Sound cruise, food and commentary was also really well done. I can’t comment on the bus trip home because we decided to fly back which was totally worth the additional outlay. Our driver and guide Hamish and our pilot Josh really made the day!

Worth every penny.
A long bus ride with lots of great stops to get to the main attraction. Raghav was an amazing guide with tons of personal knowledge, always happy to snap photos and answer any questions. I highly recommend this tour for anyone considering a ride from Queenstown to Milford Sound.

Exceptional experience
This excursion is amazing. The landscape is extraordinary. The guide extremely experienced, communicative and entertaining. We loved all her topics, music, recommendations, stories. The cruise over Milford Sounds was really amazing. The photography spots or stops spots were perfect. We really enjoyed our trip.

Amazing trip and very much recommend this Fly-Cruise-Fly Milford Sound tour. Both the flight and cruise staff were all fantastic. We were very fortunate to have perfect weather all day. The return flight was absolutely stunning and our pilot Luke was amazing with his professionalism and commentary.

Must do.
Whilst it is a very long day it’s one worth doing. Robyn was our tour guide and driver and was extremely knowledgeable and friendly making it a memorable experience.
The photos you take on the tour won’t do it justice. A must do for any visitor to the region.

Worth the time, for sure.
A wonderful mid-day trip. The boat ride was very pretty and informative, although it was often difficult to hear the narration. Unfortunately, we were unable to ride the TSS Earnslaw because May is the month they do maintenance on the 114 year old ship. Our time at the farm was delightful and the buffet was quite nice. We enjoyed the sheep show demonstration of shearing a sheep as well as the working dog demonstration. Overall, we thought it was a great experience and would certainly recommend it to others.

A Wonderful Experience
Very popular trip. Lovely ride across the lake to the caves. Very well organised with knowledgeable guides giving a full presentation prior to entering the caves themselves. Magical boat ride around the caves in silence so you can really appreciate what you're experiencing. A 'must do' trip. Don't miss it

Mini Bus/boat day out
Collected as planned on time at our
Te Anau motel. Excellent driver Danny gave interesting commentary along the way with plenty of photo opportunity stops. He also played terrific music to match the location eg Lord of the Rings theme, dramatic classical music and funny moment with Sound of Music movie theme “I go to the hills with the sound of music!”

The coolest thing I’ve done in my life!!! Our helicopter pilot Tony was amazing and a phenomenal pilot, our guide Zoe was great and super knowledgeable about the glacier and the history of it. It was absolutely unreal to get up there and be surrounded by all the ice.

Great cruise
Having the smaller boat was great, as it could pull up close to points of interest. Comfy options for sitting indoors though we preferred being outside to take in the views. Tea & biscuits were available. Staff were friendly & helpful, offering to take photos for passengers in a group. Boat was clean & tidy too. Thoroughly recommend the Cruise Milford Small Boutique cruise.

5/5 stars. No notes.
A must do while in Queenstown! My husband and I had the best time on this experience! A quick 10 min drive out of Queenstown, plenty of parking, and really easy to find. There is a lovely brewery/restaurant next to the river to grab a beer/bite before or after the jet boat ride. We didn't eat, but the beers were good! (The food did look good though.)
Shotover was running about 10 min behind for the day, so we didn't get on the river at our schedule time, but it was within 10 min. The weather was a perfect fall day, and the sun was out, but it was still a bit chilly on the river. You will get wet, so dress for the experience.
Josh, our boat captain, was awesome! He was fun, knowledgeable, and a very skilled driver. He constantly checked-in to make sure everyone was okay and having a good time. You can tell he loves what he does for a living.
The views down the river and through the canyons are stunning. The only downfall of the experience is that you can't take photos or videos while the boat is moving. You really have to take it all in and be present in the moment to get the full experience, which is good. The boat gets so close to the rocks and you feel the cold, fresh water on your face -- it is awesome.
I would recommend this experience to anyone who visits Queenstown and I would do it again myself.

Milford sound
This experience was amazing! It’s quite a long drive from Queenstown, over 4 hours both ways, but so worth it! Everything on our tour day was just fab, the weather and even the dolphins came out to play. The tour guide gave interesting facts and information, there was spectacular views and stunning surroundings. The boat was comfortable and modern and was enjoyed by our whole group.
