The Water Town tour was the highlight of our visit to Shanghai! Our tour guide, Snow, was amazing! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was customized to exactly what we wanted to do, and Snow was flexible when we decided to switch a few of the sites. I highly recommend this tour and would request Snow again!

Jade showed us local treasures we never would have found on our own. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the region and she incorporated the sharing of that knowledge in a way that was casual and conversational. She was flexible and while she had a specific agenda prepared in advance for the tour she was open to modifying her itinerary according to the specific interests of the group. I would highly recommend this tour and Jade.

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Xitang and Wuzhen, and much of that was thanks to our guide, Xin. From the moment we met her, Xin was warm, professional, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She shared fascinating stories about the history, culture, and traditions of both water towns, helping us appreciate so much more than just their beautiful scenery. What made Xin truly stand out was her thoughtfulness and genuine care for her guests. She was attentive throughout the day, ensured everything ran smoothly, and always took the time to answer our questions with patience and enthusiasm. Her recommendations were excellent, and she struck the perfect balance between providing information and allowing us time to enjoy the atmosphere at our own pace. Xin’s passion for what she does was evident in every part of the tour. She made the experience feel personal, engaging, and memorable, and her positive energy made the entire day even more enjoyable. Thanks to her, our visit to Xitang and Wuzhen was one of the highlights of our trip. We highly recommend Xin to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and outstanding guide. We had a wonderful family experience visiting Jujiajiao Ancient Town with our tour guide, Snow! We were contacted by several days in advance to confirm our pick up time and logistical details. Though our entire trip, she was friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable, making the day feel relaxed and enjoyable. She guided us through the beautiful ancient water town, including a visit to the gardens and a peaceful boat ride along the canals. Throughout the tour, Snow thoughtfully explained the symbolism embedded in the design of the gardens, helping us appreciate the cultural depth and history behind what we were seeing. What stood out most was her attentiveness to our family’s needs, especially accommodating our grandpa with limited mobility. She was very considerate in pacing the tour, making sure we had frequent rest stops so everyone could fully enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Lunch was a highlight as well—a delicious, home-style meal that gave us a warm taste of local cuisine. Snow also offered helpful recommendations on what to buy and gave us plenty of time to explore and shop at local spots, which made the visit feel unhurried and personal. We ended the day with a bit more time than planned because we were enjoying ourselves so much, and Snow remained patient and gracious throughout. This trip created long-lasting memories for our family, and we’re truly grateful to Snow for making it so special.

It is a well curated initial introduction to downtown Shanghai, China's rich history & culture, packed into a 4-5 hour program. Insightful, educational and an extremely pleasant experience. Alana, Snow and the driver were each exceptional in their service delivery to us. Snow took immense pleasure in sharing her knowledge in all aspects of the program and we learnt a lot from her, She is indeed a valuable part of the entire experience.

Linda was absolutely amazing — so friendly, warm, and welcoming from the moment we met her. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the local history and shared so many interesting facts and stories throughout the experience. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Judy was incredibly sweet and made everything feel smooth and stress-free. Even though it was raining, she still went out of her way in the rain to make sure we got the best scenic views possible. She also adjusted the timing for us and made the entire Viator experience quick, easy, and seamless. We truly appreciated her effort, flexibility, and kindness throughout the experience.

I was apprehensive about booking a tour guide for a solo day experience in Shanghai, but I need not have worried. May is an excellent tour guide. She was so patient with all my questions and incredibly knowledgable about everywhere we went. I made multiple changes to the original suggested itinerary making this even more impressive. Alana behind the scenes was always attentive ensuring the whole experience went smoothly and our driver was on point. Always close by ready for the next stop. May made the experience so worthwhile I will plan to book a similar tour when I get my wife to come to Shanghai.
