The Shanghai French Concession is more a destination for shopping, eating, and drinking than one for sightseeing per se, although it is home to Fuxing Park and the Former Residence of Sun Yat-Sen. The complexes at Xin Tian Di and Tianzifang make for great retail therapy, as does Middle Huaihai Road.

Although there’s shopping aplenty during the day, the Shanghai French Concession comes into its own at night, when street eats and international restaurants flourish.
