It was a nice introduction to the history of the French concession neighbourhood..However the walk could have been conducted in a slower leisurely pace instead of some of us who are of mature age having to struggled to keep up with the guide. There was only one rest room break offered at the beginning.

Dinna is a wonderful and very knowledgeable tour guide who can give you a lot of insight into the French Concession. She’ll take you on a trip through history and to spots you might miss if you try to find your way on your own. She gives background stories, involves the group by asking questions and generally keeps things very lively. Although the tour is technically free it operates on a tip-basis and I would definitely recommend to give a generous tip so that these tours can continue. It’s well worth it!

What can I say? What an amazing Tour! I was visiting the city on a business trip with just a few hours to spent. For me it was important to be able to fit as much information and sightseeing as possible and this tour gives you exactly that. The guide is really amazing, not only for his knowledge but also her personality, so much fun. I highly recommend this tour to everybody. It´s time well spent.

The French Concession Tour was a very lovely walk in a beautiful historical neighborhood in Shanghai. Learned a lot while exploring many hidden gems that I won’t be able to find on my own. I did two free walking tours with them and was lucky to meet those lovely local guides. Make sure to tip them well for their hard work and fantastic experience provided.
