The Absolute Best Way to See Santorini—Ask for Mike!

Our private tour with Santorini Road Trips was the undisputed highlight of our visit! From the moment Mike met us promptly at the upper cable car station in Fira, we knew we were in expert hands. Mike is an incredible wealth of knowledge. Right from the start, he shared fascinating insights into the island’s unique geography and sociopolitical history that you simply won't find in a guidebook. In Oia, his "inside scoop" was a total game-changer—he knew exactly how to navigate the crowds so we could see the famous blue domes without the long wait. As we walked through the village, he brought the architecture to life by pointing out historical details on various buildings that we would have completely overlooked on our own. After the bustle of Oia, we loved the transition to Megalochori. It was such a peaceful, authentic contrast. AWESOME tour of Santorini, Tasos UNBELIEVABLE the best

Tasos was amazing he gave options all day and kept the group ahead of the lines for the best experiences and photo opportunities. Tasos had an unbelievable know of Santorini and even allowed to go off plan and we stopped at a winery then offered a great place for a late lunch. This was a unbelievable tour I would highly recommend doing when visiting Santorini so much better than the ship packed crowds.

Fantastic tour with Astri and Sara

We had an amazing experience on the Half-Day Santorini Private Tour during our trip to Santorini to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday! Our tour guides, Astri and his daughter Sarah, were absolutely the best guides we could have asked for. They were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and truly made our trip unforgettable. Even though we only had 4 hours, they helped us maximize our time and experience the highlights of Santorini. They took us to the best photo spots in Oia and helped us avoid the long lines so we could enjoy the most beautiful views without the crowds. One of the most special moments was watching the breathtaking sunset from a secret spot in Megalochori. Astri and Sarah were also amazing photographers! They were so patient with us and made sure we got beautiful photos and memories from the trip. Along the way, they shared interesting information about the places we visited, including the famous Red Beach and Black Beach. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you have limited time in Santorini and want to see the island’s highlights efficiently. Excellent tour!

I highly recommend a private tour when you only have a minimal amount of time to cover the island! Dimitris was our guide and he got us in and out of the best places BEFORE the crowds hit! We told him our interests and he instantly knew the perfect spots that we would love to see and each spot was absolutely perfect! He took pictures for us as well. Local private tour of Santorini

We had a local private driver for my sister and I for almost the same price as a large cruise tour. He took us to all the scenic sites and a lot of local only areas that were charming. The highlight was eating at a local restaurant on the beach. We were able to pick our fresh fish and they grilled it and deboned it. We also had a sampling of local Greek food and wine. It was absolutely amazing. This is the way to see Santorini! We took the bus up from the port and it was easy to find our amazing tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about the island and culture. We highly recommend this tour!

Great overall tour and photos

Great day with George on this private tour of the key spots on the island. We shortened ours to 3 hours but we missed our connection in Athens and he was flexible and even adjusted the timing to perfectly catch the sunset. It was the most amazing sunset even George was taking pictures with his own phone. Highly recommend.

Dimitri was such a kind and thoughtful guide. Worked with us to customize the tour so we saw what we wanted to see and at our pace. I highly recommend this tour since getting around on your own on Santorini is a bit time consuming. I also recommend going to Santorini in April before the crowds get absolutely ridiculous.

Wonderful Day Trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip with our guide Aphrodite! Excellent communication prior to the trip, her greeting us at the top of the cable cars, and throughout the tour. VA very pleasant communicator, with an upbeat personality that was not overwhelming! Excellent knowledge and insight across the entire island. Nice explanation along the drive and she knew where to go and when to avoid the crowds. This also provided some less congested photo opportunities. We requested a nice local / authentic restaurant for lunch, and she didn’t disappoint! We were delivered to a wonderful spot right on a black sand beach called ‘Agios Georgios’. We wanted some fish, and the waitress took us to the kitchen, opened up the refrigerators, and showed us what they purchased that morning! What a fun experience! An excellent meal! We spent a great day in...

We spent a great day in Santorini with George! While we visited Oia which is a must go to in Santorini, I also feel like we got to see a lot of things off the beaten path that we wouldn't have been able to experience with a big group and George was very knowledgeable of the area! George also got us reservations at a nice restaurant in town where we could eat and see the sunset before getting back on our ship. For the price, this was 100% worth it!
