The magical Guanajuato Trip!!
The itinerary was outstanding- our guide Emma was fantastic- knowledgeable, warm, energetic enthusiastic answered questions made us feel like we were the most important visitors on the trip! The driver was courteous car wonderful and the two as a team really made the tour. So hardly recommend this and can’t wait to do another day trip with this company—

Excellent transfer with Luis!
Booked the airport transfer from Queretero Airport to San Miguel de Allende. My flight arrived very early but Luis still arrived punctually with a sign with my name on.
The transfer vehicle is a comfortable minivan and Luis is a safe, professional and friendly driver. Totally recommended.
Handy hint, the phone number in the "contact your activity provider" section of your booking is Luis's WhatsApp number - recommend making contact a day or so before so you can share updates on the day.

Colorful San Miguel
When traveling to new places I always enjoy a tour of the historic center to begin my trip.
This was excellent. Our tour guide, Filipe, was knowledgeable and personable. San Miguel has a long and colorful history and Filipe told its story that kept us all engaged. He eagerly answered any questions we had. I highly recommend booking this tour.

Must do!
Our host Diego was very friendly and helped prepare us for everything we needed to bring and what to leave home. Our pickup was seamless and the breakfast option was fantastic (and vegetarian friendly)! We had fun conversation in the comfortable SUV and he handled our noisy kids in the third row like a champ!
Tolantango was a wonderful experience. The hot pools were sublime on their own, but I wasn't expecting such a magnificent canyon view beyond them! The cave/tunnel was our family's favorite part of the trip and it was the most unusual part. Traversing through warm water while cold water pours upon you is invigorating! Our older two kids are confident swimmers and had no issues, but we held close to our youngest. Be mindful of bringing too many little ones that aren't strong swimmers.
Lunch was great and so was swimming in the river. Although we didn't get much time there and that felt rushed. But it was kind of expected when we have so much distance to cover in one day.
Overall wonderful experience for our family we would recommend anyone to try! Note: we went on a weekday and especially the hot pools were fairly crowded (but not too bad). I've heard it can be much worse on the weekends.

Best tour in town
Mary is just absolutely great. Best tour guide ever.
This is a really fun tour where you get to know other tourists and maybe locals, eat some good food, learn your way around a bit, maybe get taught a little history, and have several tequila-based drinks along the way. Well-paced, decent restaurants (Azotea is a real standout as is the old-fashioned Cantina-With-A-Trough on Mesones), and with Mary-at-the-helm a super good time. Highly recommended.

Fun, Delicious, and Truly Memorable
My family and I had a wonderful time at our cooking class with Sam and Armando. I really appreciated how thoughtfully the experience was organized and how each person had a hands‑on role in bringing the meal together. I learned a lot and it was fun to get a taste of what it's like to work in a professional kitchen. On top of that, the food was amazing and it ended up being one of our favorite meals in SMA. This experience was one of the top highlights of our trip!

Excellent value, people and wine.
This proved to be an excellent adventure. Leo, our driver was both charming and informative.
The winery itself was an idyllic location in both landscapes and buildings.
This was paired perfectly (wine terminology) with the knowledgeable tour hosted by S Stephanie. She brought the story to life and added so much to our enjoyment.
Now throw in several very enjoyable tasting options and you have an experience that exceeded our expectations.

Delicious and Informative Food Tour
Our tour with Pascal was wonderful! We visited five different and delicious restaurants, all within easy walking distance of each other, with five unique and interesting dishes. Pascal was an amiable host, and he shared great information about the history of San Miguel as well as life in San Miguel today. I highly recommend this tour.

Omar was great !! Highly recommend
Our tour guide was Omar and he was amazing !! I did this tour with my boyfriend and it ended up just being us three in total for the duration of the tour, but it was a such a blessing. More intimate and lots of time for questions and conversation. Omar knows a lot about the history of San Miguel de Allende and the way he weaves the stories into how things came to be in present day is remarkable. Food was accommodating to my vegetarian diet (my partner did get his meat) and it was truly delicious. He even gave us cocktail/dinner suggestions (and contingency plans) for after the tour- which was amazing !!! We ended up going to both locations he recommended. Ended up being 3 hours likely because it was just us three so less waiting around for a bigger group, but it was the perfect amount of time for us. Highly recommend !!!

Great experience and fun painting techniques
This was a great experience! The painting class was good for beginners and we were all really happy with the way the paintings turned out. We especially loved learning about mixing colors, and we learned many techniques that made the paintings look great. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and patient and we had a lot of fun!

Best tour in Mexico!
We had an absolutely wonderful walking tour in San Miguel de Allende. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely flexible, which made all the difference for our group with both kids and adults. He told engaging stories that brought the city to life, adjusted the pace seamlessly, and made thoughtful stops along the way so everyone stayed interested and happy.
The kids were entertained and included (no small feat!), while the adults felt like we were learning something meaningful rather than just ticking off landmarks. It never felt rushed or rigid — instead, it felt personal, warm, and tailored to the group.
This was exactly the kind of tour you hope for when traveling as a family: insightful, relaxed, and fun for everyone. We’d recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone visiting San Miguel de Allende, especially those traveling with children or anyone who values flexibility and great storytelling.

Amazing winery
Driver (Angel?) showed up on time and professional. Winery was beautiful. After a comprehensive tour, we sat for our wine tastings. Marco at the winery had been out of university for a year and had studied in the industry. He provided detailed information about the area, property, winemaking and answered our questions. We had generous pours and repeats when finished. We each had our own charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, grapes, olives, breadstick, and raw honey. We chose not to do the extra walking around on our own or to sit for lunch, so he called the driver who came to pick us up within 15 minutes. We purchased a few bottles of wine from the store and also ordered a cocktail to enjoy on the patio. We started the experience at exactly 12:30 PM and got back to our hotel by 3:30 PM. We were picked up at the location, which was a 6 minute walk from our hotel. And on the way back, we asked the driver if he could drop us to directly to the hotel and he was happy to do so.

In the Mexican state of Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende has long been a haven for artists, expats, and retirees drawn to the colorful and quaint Pueblo Magico (Magic Town). Fly over the beautiful center in a hot-air balloon or learn to make salsas, moles, and other regional specialties during a cooking class. And if you get tired of the easy life, other San Miguel de Allende tours amp up the energy by taking you hiking in the Sierra Gorda Queretana mountains.
