Educational & fun tour. Great guide with historical knowledge of area! Felt safe during entire tour.
Hotel pick up available and many little extras not mentioned on line like food tasting and conversation with locals
Very, very informative. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of San Miguel

Phillipe was a delight. He was Very intelligent snd considerate. We loved the tour and so so much of the city and neighborhoods. I would highly recommend this tour.
Picked up at our hotel on time. It was Leo our guide and a driver. Went up to two lookouts over the city, then explored some other areas, saw murals, ancient hacienda now an arts school, went away from the city to an historic church, all the while learning from Leo the history of the city and Mexico. Leo was born and raised in SMA and his English was excellent. We had a walking tour booked the next day with the same company and asked if guides could be switched so that we had Leo again, which the company accommodated. Great time!

Our guide,Diego,was fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and so personable. We all enjoyed the history lessons of the architecture and the people of the region.
There was a little more walking than anticipated, but Diego was very solicitous of our mother’s pace always lending an arm on stairs. His knowledge of Atotontilco was quite impressive!

Our guide Diego was a huge help with the 2 senior ladies traveling with me. He was accommodating and kind. Gave us just enough information and kept us engaged and interested in the tour. He gave the elders extra attention and was very polite.

Amazing private tour that helped us tick off bucket list items in SMA. Leo is an expert guide and Israel is an amazing driver. I don’t typically leave reviews, but wanted to share that this is well worth it.

Transportation was superior. Guide was VERY knowledgable & accommodating.
However, the few hours allowed was not enough time to see all the things of
interest. Could have spent at least 1-2 hours more.

My daughter and I enjoyed a most wonderful tour of SMA with our guide Diego. The tour was very informative and we learned so much about the history of San Miguel de Allende and Mexico. We very highly recommend this tour. It made our stay in SMA so much more enjoyable!

I wanted to find a tour to the Santuario de Atotonilco from San Miguel de Allende, so this was perfect. I thought that the driving tour around San Miguel would be a good intro and we could then later visit on our own the drive-by sites. We were pleasantly surprised to actually get out of the car to visit on-foot the primary sites in SMA. We made stops at the Mirador for views of the city, the Mercado de Artesanias where our guide showed us various special artist's booths explaining their art and artifacts (no pressure to buy anything but allowed time if we wished) and the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel where we saw the interior and also the Jardin across the way. We were driven around the Parque Benito Juarez and around a few neighborhoods, one having fantastic murals. Our Guide Luiz was very informative and friendly, always giving us opportunities to ask questions. He gave us information on the history of the area and descriptions of the sites we were seeing. Our Driver Brandon was efficient and careful. We felt very safe in his care. He pulled over to let us out close to the sites we were seeing (no parking close) and would be there to pick us up when we were done visiting the sites. We can highly recommend this Viator option, provided by Catrina Tours and hosted by Luiz and Brandon. P.S. Catrina Tours prefers you book thru Viator rather than the directly. Also, being a private tour, Catrina offered us opportunities to modify or add to the tour, as needed. But what they gave us was perfect with no modifications required.

Great tour with a local guide who happened to grow up on the street our Airbnb was on. Lots of good information on the history of San Miguel de Allende from precolonial to modern times. Bonus-he dropped us off at a wonderful local restaurant where we had lunch after the tour.

A very good tour from the #1 rated walking tour company in San Miguel, but much better than a walking tour. San Miguel is very hilly, and so you can't see as much when walking. The tour lasted about 3 hrs. 40 min, and I would like to have seen the church that is considered to be the Sistine Chapel of the New World. Diego, the owner, was our guide. Very informative and excellent english. Make sure you let him know all that you want to see.

Diego was an endless reservoir of information. Our tour went long because we asked so many questions. I’ve been to all seven continents and over 80 countries, and this was as good a tour with such a knowledgeable tour guide as I’ve experienced. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know San Miguel de Allende.
