This is the funnest thing in San Miguel de Allende. The guys and horses are fun but safe. They love and take great care of their horses. Will do this again with our kids one day! The saloons were great as well.

Great experience for those that like to have fun and do something different. We had the best time and the bar stops were top notch and fit the experience, old school spots with the perfect vibe.

Magical evening

Patti_M, Jan 2026
We were asked to move the ride from 5 pm to 6 pm, so we sort of missed the sunset, and went to two cantinas and then at the very end of the tour were left at a third cantina/restaurant that had food. When I signed us up I thought we were riding through a park, but the tour we had took us through the center of San Miguel de Allende on the cobblestone roads. One of our members was very unsure about riding and she was put on the most spectacular and steady horse(Capitán) and she had a great time. I was beyond thrilled to ride the beautiful Palomina, Chiquita. My husband road an Appaloosa (Covy [Covid]) and his saddle had a machete attached, so for picture purposes, he was happy. There were four people in our party and two in the other. For the six of us they had a lead guide on a horse, an additional guide in the middle also on a horse, AND a third guide who WALKED behind us to make sure all was okay. That is how slow were were going. So, THREE guides for 6 guests. The horses were very well behaved and seemed to enjoy their route/trek. We rode for almost an hour before the first stope. The first cantina was up on top of the hill and the bartenders were very kind. The second cantina we had actually been to earlier in the week during a tacos and tequila tour. It was nice to have some familiarity. Lastly, they took some pictures of our groups before they left us at a third restaurant that had live music and food. The Guides really took care of us and the horses. I feel like a tour through the town, while a little crowded with cars, —was charming. The city is really beautiful and getting to see it slightly elevated, and slowly was really memorable. Little kids and families would come to the doors of their houses and wave. It was overall a fun experience. The cantinas they picked were authentic and it was great to be left at a restaurant where we had dinner and enjoyed a rock band. Note that for the two hour tours the drinks are not included, so when you stop you order and pay for your drinks.

Fun horseback ride through San Miguel.

Lots of fun! Great guides and gentle horses. Stopped at old style cantinas along the way through residential el centro neighborhoods.

Very well planned and organized tour taking us through different areas of SMA. We had a great time and really enjoyed the tour

Love the horses but overall underwhelming experience

Dejanira_A, Nov 2025
Underwhelming and overpriced .Riding horses into a busy town during a holiday season was not a great idea. No guides, no history, poor choice of cantinas. Three horses were visibly stressed. The concept is neat yet is poorly executed. The communication with the coordinator is great, very attentive company.

Great if you love horses and cantinas!!

Beautiful views safe horses and awesome guides.

Our tour was :4 ppl total - my spouse and I and another couple. Guides were very friendly and engaging helpful and knew their stuff. One of them even had Kentucky Derby experience. They took lots of photos of us at beautiful spots with stunning views of the city. The horses were “bomb proof” and didn’t even react to loud cars or barking dogs! They were open to letting us go as fast as we liked, but the horses were trained to go super safe and slow! The tour is part countryside and then a lot of back roads in the city’s residential area. Romantic and fun. The ride was Just long enough for your butt to start getting tired/sore so I prefer 2 hour rides. Bring cash tip for these guys as they will deserve it!

Fabulous perspective on the city

This was such a great way to get a different perspective on the city & its neighborhoods. The horses & guides were excellent! Not to mention the sunset was amazing! Highly recommend!

Great romantic ride

Guides were great, really a once in a life time opportunity. We went right into the city, it was super fun.

Priceless moments

The sunset horseback riding was such a unique experience. Jorge and Sergio were awesome guides. They helped capture lovely pictures of my partner and me right at sunset. I felt safe during the entire time. It was such a delightful experience, I totally recommend this tour.

Pictures at the cross and ride downtown.

Aaron_M, Oct 2020
Had such an amazing time with Pollo! A beautiful ride up a hill to the cross with an amazing view. Then down through the city. Dinner wasnt good at all but after that horse back ride, I didn't care how good dinner was. Wish we could have rode the horses back to the stables instead of that dinner and taking a cab home but I Would definitely recommend!

Memorable
