Our wine tasting experience was fantastic! The wine selections offered a wide variety, and our tour guide was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also showed true passion for the content, making us feel genuinely welcome. My husband and I decided to stay for lunch—which we highly recommend! The flavors, presentation, and service were all impeccable. Overall, we absolutely loved the experience and will be telling local friends and family visiting San Miguel to make a trip to this winery. A definite must!

This is an incredible gem in the country. We drank some fantastic wine. The facility is first rate and impeccable. Thank you for being so accommodating to stay longer and enjoy the restaurant before returning us to our hotel. Great experience.
This was a great tour. Tres Raíces is architecturally beautiful and our guide Marco was exceptional. The wines are delicious and it was an overall wonderful experience.

Driver (Angel?) showed up on time and professional. Winery was beautiful. After a comprehensive tour, we sat for our wine tastings. Marco at the winery had been out of university for a year and had studied in the industry. He provided detailed information about the area, property, winemaking and answered our questions. We had generous pours and repeats when finished. We each had our own charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, grapes, olives, breadstick, and raw honey. We chose not to do the extra walking around on our own or to sit for lunch, so he called the driver who came to pick us up within 15 minutes. We purchased a few bottles of wine from the store and also ordered a cocktail to enjoy on the patio. We started the experience at exactly 12:30 PM and got back to our hotel by 3:30 PM. We were picked up at the location, which was a 6 minute walk from our hotel. And on the way back, we asked the driver if he could drop us to directly to the hotel and he was happy to do so.
It was just me and my best friend and it was a very relaxing and informative experience! Would definitely recommend.
this was wonderful! plan for extra time at the pick up location - the site is full of artworks and other items - great shopping! The winery tour tasting were very educational (and delicious) - thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience!
It was a great overview of the wine making process and the tasting was superb. The staff was knowledgeable and could answer any and all questions.
As Northern Californians we are quite familiar with wine, so we were curious to see how the Mexican experience will compare, and we weren't disappointed. The Tres Raices Winery is something to see. It is very pretty/architecturally stunning and was interesting to learn how they farm above hot springs. The red wines are young but the Sav Blanc and Muscatel were clean, crisp and very good. Their host, Marcos, was very enthusiastic and informative and provided a very nice experience.
Lovely way to spend the afternoon. Our driver met us promptly at La Fabrica Aurora for pickup. After about a 30 min drive - we arrived to the stunning property. We happened to be the only guests booked for the tour at this time - so had a great private experience with Marco. We walked through the grounds - and then into the production, bottling area and wine storage/barrel cellar. After the tour - we had our tasting which included a small tasting platter of cheese, fruit, meat and honey to pair with our wines. After the tasting - we had about an hour or so before our transport back so enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant deck overlooking the vineyard.
Our driver met us at the designated spot on time and drove us in a very clean, comfortable van to the winery. He was very polite and answered our question about all of the construction/developments we passed.
We were able to leave our packages in the van while we toured the winery.
The Tres Raices winery was fabulous. New. Very contemporary. Lots of smart, techniques for irrigation and aging. The whole facility was beautiful.
Our guide, Armando, was very friendly and informative. Great personality.

On our return trip to San Miguel, we asked for restaurant recommendations. Not only did he suggest a fabulous steakhouse, he dropped us off there!

Shuttle service excellent and beautiful vineyard. Wine making tour was also interesting. Wine tasting was very good with our guide explaining how different aromas can be detected in the different wines that we sampled. The accompaniments were plenty with grapes, cheese, bread and salami. We were a party of 5 and each of us had our own plate of snacks.
Staff is very knowledgeable, fun , attentive & great wine! Great date or hang out with friends! You will not be disappointed!
Our guide Ashanti had only been there five months, but she was excellent. Very knowledgeable and personable. The wines and the snacks were quite good. The winery itself has a great restaurant and stunning architecture. I would definitely recommend this destination.
My partner and I had a wonderful time on this tour! Everyone was pleasant and the vineyard was beautiful. All the wines were tasty and we even brought some home. They went out of their way to keep track of us after the tour to ensure we didn’t miss our ride back. Would love to visit again!
The grounds around this winery were gorgeous. We enjoyed the wine and learning about all the different varieties Tres Raices produces.
None , overpriced, was supposed to go to 4:30 over by 2:30. 2:30 was more than enough. This is the worst Viator I have ever done.
Snack was very small. For the price there should have been more food.
Waited 1/2 hour for people to get the shuttle at the end.
What was the reason for the price. They made a killing!!

Everyone was very gracious and helpful. I have some walking difficulties and they were very adapted to my needs. We toured the vineyards in a golf cart and loved the tour and the information We stayed for dinner and enjoyed the view, the meal, and the charming young waiter. What a lovely afternoon.
The winery is beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The tour takes you behind the scenes of the wine production in addition to the vineyards. Also, when we said we were vegetarians, they promptly altered our cheese board with no meat selections and more cheeses! Overall, it was a great experience.

Great winery tour and wines. Our translator Leo was so much fun, and is a budding wine connoisseur! We also stayed after for a delicious lunch at the winery’s restaurant and invited Leo to join us.
We had a great time. The vineyard is a beautiful spot, the wine was very good and the food at the onsite restaurant was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and his English was very good
Although interesting enough I would not suggest this excursion unless you are staying in SMA for a long period of time and have done everything else. My husband & I enjoy going to vineyards and make it part of our travels in every country we go to so we were excited to try Mexican wine but we're disappointed in the overall experience. The tour was completely in Spanish which is fine as we were able to understand most of it but we had booked a tour in English. The wines were good not great and they oddly didn't offer their Tempranillo during the tasting which is their most award winning wine. For $200 we expected much more from the experience, in our experience between our home state of Texas U.S.A, Porto Portugal, Rioja Spain, and Napa, California U.S.A for $50 usd you would get a tour/ tasting/ and a full glass of wine for whatever wine you liked best from the tasting. This was $100 a person and we didn't get a glass of wine, a glass to take home, etc so much higher prices than we usually expect without any of the perks.

The winery itself is beautiful and the wine is good. However after the tour and tasting we were told we had 90” to “ do whatever we liked”. Basically to go to the restaurant and order food and wine. We were not hungry and would have rather finished our time there. I’d just get a driver and go on my own so I could leave when I wanted
Our host Miguel was very pleasant and well informed. Our experience with him is great. The tour is good, food is good. The only part that we do not like is the wine is just ok. Not to our liking at all.
This was an OK tour. If you're curious about Mexican wine, it's a fun little trip outside of the city where you can sample 5 wines that are pretty ok in flavor. We didn't buy any to take home with us but it was amusing to to try them. The guide was nice.
Beautiful vineyard and architecture. Gorgeous than you. This was a really excellent value for the price. Miguel spoke great English and shared so many details about wine that I did not know even having toured other vineyards in the US. I am so thankful we went on this tour and had this experience. We had lunch (not included in the price) afterwards and the food was delicious.
Great time-enjoyed our tour. Our lunch after was great-we had two pizzas and a bottle of Malbec that made for a very nice experience.
