What are people saying about Salzburg

Great day trip with wonderful views!
This is a top notch tour from Salzburg. Our guide, Fritz, was quite informative, attentive and fun. We enjoyed ourselves so much. The hike to the 5Fingers platform was beautiful (and an additional charge which they are very good at informing you ahead of time). We are in our 70s and huffed and puffed a little, but we enjoyed the hike to the platform so much. Fritz gave us great information when it was time to spend some time in Hallstatt. We felt the time was adequate to see the town and grab a quick bite. The van was comfortable and Fritz was a superb quide and very funny and pleasant.

Two great tours on the same day!
Both of these tours were great! On the Halstatt tour we drove through the beautiful countryside with our guide describing where we were along the way. Halstatt itself is such a beautiful little lakeside town. We were allowed time to explore it on our own, our guide gave us ideas of how we might want to spend our time there. It was so picturesque. Then we returned along a different route. We got back just in time to get on the Sound of Music tour. It was so much fun! Our guide knew so much not only about the movie and the sites where it was filmed, but the whole area we traveled through as well as the actors in the movie and the real Von Trapp family. We sang and had such a wonderful time!

Wonderful!
Minutes walk from Imlauer Pitter hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Easy check in, get on bus. Comfortable clean bus with A/C. Guide April was amazing. Happy, funny, and full of information. Sites of movie neat, but drive thru mountains and lakes I found to be highlight of tour. Beautiful Bavarian countryside. Went in Spring ( early June) green and wildflowers. Stopped in a small town and had about 30 mins to walk around. Highly recommend. Get out of Salzburg and see sights you would not normally see.

Great Way to See the Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden in One Day
The Skip-the-Line: Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgaden Tour from Salzburg was an excellent way to experience the Eagle's Nest, enjoy spectacular alpine views, and learn about the site's fascinating history. If you're looking for a compact, well-organized excursion that combines the Eagle's Nest with time in the charming town of Berchtesgaden, this tour delivers a lot in a relatively short amount of time. Our guide was wonderful and did an outstanding job keeping a large group organized and on schedule. The logistics are complex, and the tour ran very smoothly thanks to their efforts. That said, this is definitely a group tour with a tight itinerary. If you prefer to explore at your own pace or linger longer at certain locations, this may not be the best fit. Be prepared for crowds as well. The tunnel and elevator leading up to the Eagle's Nest involve small, confined spaces, and you'll be sharing them with large groups of visitors. The stop in Berchtesgaden was enjoyable, but time is limited. You will likely need to choose between exploring the town or sitting down for a meal, as it would be difficult to comfortably do both. Overall, this tour is a great value and an efficient way to see one of the most historic and scenic locations in the region. The breathtaking views, historical significance, and convenience of the tour made it a memorable experience.

Salzburg tours offer the perfect way to explore the historical city of Mozart’s birthplace. Visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress, stroll through the lush Mirabell Gardens, and marvel at the stunning architecture of Salzburg Cathedral. Enjoy a romantic meal in the evening, followed by a Mozart recital at the 900-year-old Salzburg Fortress. For fans of The Sound of Music, there are dedicated tours that bring the film’s locations to life, while those looking for history and dramatic landscapes will find it just over the German border, where you can visit the Eagle’s Nest and the underground bunkers of Berchtesgaden. Whether you’re drawn by Salzburg’s history, musical heritage, or picturesque landscapes, these tours showcase the best this charming city offers.
