- Late seating ist possible only during intermissions. Early appearance recommended.

Beautiful venue for an excellent event. Seating us well appointed and the musical ensemble was very enjoyable but the soloists went up and beyond to engage the entire audience including dancing with our very shy daughter. Meal was also enjoyable. Would go again.

The concert and dinner were a wonderful experience! The talent of the opera singers coupled with their acting skills and sense of humor made the event a fun cultural experience! They were even able to accommodate the vegan family member traveling with us! A 10 out of 10!

As a solo traveler, I wouldn't recommend this, because even as an English speaker in a room of 80ish people only two others were also English speakers and even they didn't appear to be having that good of a time either. No real accommodation was made to sit people together from a common tongue other than the native German. So not only did I sit by myself as a solo traveler, I wasn't able to talk to anyone at my seated table with two other French speakers. Now either my position as one of the back tables, or solo, or both - I was chronically served last in all courses which already given nothing to do, now had nothing to do but watch others eat and usually finish even before I was finally served.
Both the opera and quintet performers were exceptional, the food - not so much, portions were dainty at best, and all of it was salted far too heavily and underwhelming.

Dear Mike, many thanks for your feedback. We are happy that you enjoyed the concert. It would have been great, if you told our staff on the spot that the menu was too salty for you and the portions too small, we would have been happy to change your dish and serve something else. Unfortunately you did not tell us on the spot, so we had to chance to solve this issue right away.
Concerning the other guests: App. 70 guests were joining the Mozart Dinner Concert on January 24. When people book directly with us and on our website, they choose a certain seat. So it is not our right to change seats according to the language that people speak. Anyway we even do not know, which language is spoken by our guests. I just checked the guest list, according to the names I would guess that 80% of our guests were English speaking that night. Further we want to put on record that you were seated on a seat in the standard category, which is what you booked. Facing the music. It would have been a pleasure for us to find an other seat with English speaking people, if you had asked our staff for it. And - you are right - one table is always the last to be served. We did not serve you personally last, but your whole table was the last in the row. So first you had to wait and the tables in the front were served and then your table was served and the others had to wait a little bit. Perhaps you want to think about your rating - we are always open to criticism and would have been easily able to serve the language and menu issue on the spot, if you had told us about it. The concert and dinner were both amazing. The venue is inside the oldest restaurant, beautifully decorated with a classic charm. The service was excellent, and the concert was perfectly timed with each course. We were also surprised by how delicious the food was far beyond our expectations. The performance included a touch of entertainment, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We’re so glad we decided to join this experience!

Great!! Music, food, service - all great. We purchased the exclusive tables and it was worth it. They also have an extensive wine list. We were pleased and will do this again. Get there early and enjoy the beautiful Christmas markets outside the venue!

Excellent concert but the most terrible, terrible dinner. We are well seasoned travellers and this has been the worst dinning experience for many years. The wait staff, venue and performers were all excellent but the kitchen that preparation and quality of the appetizer, main corse and dessert was terrible.

Since the restaurant is a separate company, we unfortunately don’t have direct control over the kitchen, but the clearer your feedback is, the easier it will be for us to push for concrete improvements and changes.
We’re also a bit surprised, as no one mentioned any unhappy guests on the evening itself. We always encourage our guests to speak to our staff directly if something isn’t right — we would have done our best to address it immediately.

Mozart’s greatest hits: Papageno, Catalog aria, a couple of arias from Figaro and Don Giovanni. Overtures from Figaro and Nachtmusik. Songs you’ve heard dozens of times. But it’s still Mozart, so what’s not to like? Performers had nice voices. Dinner was ok (chicken was good, soup had no taste.) A little overpriced, but a fun couple of hours overall. I recommend checking it out if you’re in Salzburg.

As I was there myself that evening and walked through the hall several times, asking all the guests if everything was okay and receiving no negative feedback, I don't quite understand your rather negative review. No one mentioned anything to me or a waiter about an unseasoned soup, otherwise we would have been happy to serve you an alternative! We serve many different nationalities every evening and it is rather impossible to cater to everyone's tastes.
The restaurant's prices are on the high side, which is unfortunately beyond our control as Mozart Dinner Concert – we really have our hands tied when it comes to prices.
If you had a wonderful evening with us and enjoyed the concert, please consider giving us that one star. It doesn't have to be five, but one on top of the four would be really nice.

The atmosphere is comfortable and elegant surrounded by the ambience of an era of long ago when Mozart lived. The dinner was fantastic and the dessert was like heaven. The musicians were phenomenal and talented. A wonderful unforgettable experience. The culinary abbey restaurant is 1200 years old.

If you have never been to an Opera before it will be a different experience but ended up being a great evening . The singers and musicians were fantastic while the opera singers involved members from the audience, it was so much fun. The dinner was surprisingly the best food I had in Salzburg and Germany. If you like Mozart music you will definitely enjoy this evening.

This was a good experience. The opera singers and musicians were excellent. A slight negative, was that we had to turn around in our chairs to see the musicians. So just be aware, otherwise it was good.

Awesome Salzburg experience! The live quintet was wonderful. Personally, I enjoyed the music alone rather than the music and opera. I don’t eat meat but left a note on my reservation and they were MORE THAN accommodating! The main dish was absolutely phenomenal; a delicious risotto. The radler was also excellent. Highly recommend for a fun, Salzburg-specific evening!

Be sure to stipulate which table you are booking. When I booked the seating arrangements showed there were only 4 or 5 tables for 2 Infront of the musicians, however, when we arrived they had a 2nd row of tables for 2 behind the first row. After being placed behind the front row, and I had booked the table nearly a year in advance, they said because I hadn't stipulated which table (that option did not appear at time of booking) they chose the table for us - not happy about that. A little while later we were given a complimentary glass of bubbly wine, which was appreciated. Although visibility was still good it was very difficult taking photos as unfortunately 2 larger, tall gentleman where on each side in front of us and difficult to take photos without getting one or both in. Anyway, apart from that disappointment the show was wonderful and I'd certainly recommend it.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for our pleasant encounter at the concert. I'm also really pleased that you enjoyed the music and its quality.
I'm a bit disappointed that our wonderful concert is only mentioned briefly in your account of the evening, and that the other topic dominates, which I'm honestly a bit surprised about.
We had such a nice chat there; we laughed, and I felt that I had explained the topic to you clearly.
However, your description is simply not correct. As I explained to you there, it is not possible to select a seat when booking via third-party platforms. You therefore booked a category (no matter how far in advance), not a specific seat. Nowhere does it say that you specifically booked a seat in the front row. You would have to inform us of your wish.
Had the hall not been fully booked, I would have offered you a seat in the front row immediately. The issue with the tall men in front of you is also not quite as you describe it here. In fact, we were joking about how lucky you were that there were no tall men or high hairstyles in front of you that day, since this happens most of the time for you.
It's a shame that, although you seemed happy on site, you're rehashing everything again here.
Perhaps you will reconsider your review and award that last star!

Music and dinner were excellent. Only issue was we had no choice about seating and we were the only people with our backs to the musicians. I asked to change seats but was told it wasn't possible despite many tables being entirely unused.
