Austrian Splendor
Absolutely fantastic tour. It was the highlight of our 16 day European trip. Shiva was a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Perfect sized group of 7 and we lucked out with beautiful sunny weather. It does get a bit chilly and windy up on the mountain, so bring a jacket. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to see Hallstatt and go up the cable car to the Five Fingers to experience the stunning natural beauty of the area.

Overpriced but great day overall
I paid about $161 for this trip plus an additional €49 for the salt mines (you have to bring cash to pay the guide for your ticket). To me, that was really overpriced for an 8-9hr day. I’ve done similar tours for about half the price. However, it’s quick drives, beautiful views, and a great guide. His name was “Fritz” I believe and he was great. Very knowledgeable and passionate about Austria. I 100% recommend the salt mines! The tour was amazing! They just reopened after doing a bunch of renovations on the funicular and it’s awesome! The tour itself if so high tech and totally worth the €49. The whole salt mines experience was about 1.5 hours. Bring a jacket! It’s about 50 degrees in the salt mines. They do give you clothes to wear over, but still, bring warm clothing.
You still have time to enjoy the town of Hallstatt. Keep in mind, the town will be packed with tourists. It’s a tiny but beautiful town.

Conner is a great guide for “Sound of Music”
The tour had two legs, the first was to visit Hallstatt; the second was to visit the filming locations of the movie “Sound of Music”. The first leg was normal to average to mediocre; the second was very nice. Conner is very knowledgeable about the movies itself, of cause. He also did quite some research about the anecdotes about the movie shooting, editing, the original story, the screenplays, and much more. He is enthusiastic, full of passion and humor. He also pay attentions to tourists’ needs, including natural calls and photos, restaurants recommendations, again much more.

Awesome Salzburg Experience
This applestrudel/ nockrl making class was just so great!
First off, the location ( kitchen in a cave on side of a mountain) was so unexpected and charming. Our instructors Leonardo and Sophie were so organized and talented! Their clear instructions and fun tips made us feel confident that we could do this! While our strudel was baking we made the nockrl- then all sat together to enjoy a delicious goulash or lentil soup. It was fun to meet new people and to eat our masterpieces ! Such an enjoyable and informative class. Excited to have the recipes to try our hand at this again at home. Don’t hesitate to book this class- it was the highlight of our time in Salzburg!

Loved the whole...
Loved the whole experience — dinner was delicious, and the concert was amazing! Truly talented musicians. A quick heads‑up for anyone who has difficulty walking or climbing steps: after the boat ride, you’ll need to walk to the funicular to reach the top for dinner, and then climb additional stairs to get to the concert venue. It can be challenging if long walks or stairs are an issue.

The hills are alive
Me and my daughter did this trip with Francesca. We absolutely loved it, we visited lots of filming locations and learned so much about the making of the film and the proper Von Trapp family. Francesca was so knowledgeable and made the trip fun. The small group was a bonus when visiting the sights. I would recommend this trip to anyone. Five stars all the way

So enjoyable!
I am so glad we booked this exoerience. I went with my husband and teenage daughter. She plays the violin and appreciates classical music. The musicians were absolutely amazing. The hall was so beautiful. It was the perfect ending to our time in Salzburg.

An enjoyable day out
Fabulous day, 2 separate bus tours, same company, extremely well organised to ensure you don't miss anything. Salt Mines 4 hour tour was great fun, you put on overalls, head down the mines on little trains, a couple slippery slides even a short boat ride whilst learning how mining has changed over the years. Then back to Salzburg a very short wait then onto a different bus for Sound of Music tour with Bridget our guide. She is vivacious and knowledgeable as we visit sights even sing songs from the famous movie. This is a must do tour in Salzburg with amazing scenery as well. A very enjoyable day.

I’m a believer…glad I booked it!
Considering I booked this as a gift to my wife, I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and seeing the rest of the group enjoy it as well. Josh ranks I. The top two of my global tour guides. He’s knowledgable, funny, and professional. The entire bus sang a long and participated. His personal passion and interest in the Sound of Music story was a value add. My wife who is a big fan smiled the entire time and was the first to every site like a kid in a candy store.
The lunch added a nice twist. It took a little long, they apologized and comped our drinks. Glad we chose that option too. The food was great….considering it wasn’t Louisiana cooking.

Johannes, our guide, was...
Johannes, our guide, was really knowledgeable. He took the time to bring us around and shared the history of the area, as well as lives of the people living there now. He brought us to a beautiful viewpoint for a photo, as well as recommended a cosy local shop for some schnapps. It was a nice surprise, considering I was only expecting to be brought to the salt mine. My husband and I really enjoyed the trip and will definitely love to bring our children for the trip in the future!

Traditional Salzburg Cooking in a Unique Salzburg Location!
Had a lovely time with Johan and his team as we learned how to make struedel and traditional crescent cookies, and also enjoyed a very nice lunch of ghoulash. The cooking school is built into the cliff, which was an interesting aspect of the experience.

Anna our tour guide picked us on time and prepared small christmas gifts for us.
She is good and familiar with the driving routes, its a fun and comfortable tour for the day.
She also took some pictures for us with her camera and we are looking forward to receive it from her soon.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
While Salzburg has plenty to offer visitors, it's also a great base for exploring the natural features and castles of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. Organized Salzburg day trips make it easy to see spots inaccessible by public transportation. You can head out to the Salzkammergut lake district to see sites made famous by The Sound of Music, deepen your understanding of World War II history with a trip to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), which was initially a Nazi meeting spot, or even check out Eisriesenwelt, the world’s largest ice cave.
