Applause from Utah!
What a lovely experience. Kylie was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was amazing to watch the driver (Evo/Ivo) maneuver that big bus into narrow places. They made the experience comfortable and they gave us the information we needed to get the most out of our tour. We will tell all of our family and friends about this wonderful memory - not to be missed!

New dessert recipe from Salzburg
This was one of the highlights of the trip we made to Europe. The cooking class was a great way to learn how Streudel is made and nockrel! Highly recommend this excursion if you're in Salzburg. The instructor and assistant were extremely helpful which made it a wonderful experience.

This is two separate...
This is two separate tours which means you may definitely have some overlap when traveling between destinations. Knowing that, I love the experience. Birgit was an amazing guide for the SOM tour. She was very knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun! Mirko was our tour guide for Halstatt and everything ran smoothly so that we had more than enough time in Halstatt as well as some sights along the way. Both Mondsee and Halstatt had a beautiful lake. Halstatt was definitely best in the morning when crowds are low.

Fabulous day out
This was an amazing trip very personal only 5 of us in the mini van. Our tour guide was Fritz he was very knowledgeable unfortunately due to the weather we could do fingers and cable car ride but we had extra time in the village of Hallstatt. Would highly recommend

Fun and easy Hallstatt tour
Easy half day trip to Hallstatt! The tour covered transportation, provided clear expectations of options and things to see in Hallstatt and the tour guide was friendly and approachable. Jose did a great job of being just the right amount of cheesy and trying to please all travelers on the tour. We lucked out with beautiful January weather in Hallstatt and I am so glad we made the trip! Taking a tour was much easier than attempting to rent a car and park as the town was already getting busy upon our arrival and definitely once we left early afternoon. I’d book an early tour if possible!

So worth it!
So much more than just a tour of the salt mines! The bus takes a scenic road past the Eagles Nest with an stop for a photo opportunity, as well as stops in the town of Berchtesgaden for an hour for shopping and walking around. Being able to walk right into the Salt Mines was a huge win too as there was a LONG line of people waiting. Well worth the ticket price for the tour!

Day trip to Hallstatt
Anna our tour guide picked us on time and prepared small christmas gifts for us.
She is good and familiar with the driving routes, its a fun and comfortable tour for the day.
She also took some pictures for us with her camera and we are looking forward to receive it from her soon.

Elvis was the best tour...
Elvis was the best tour guide. He flexed our itinerary with the weather conditions, was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, gave us plenty of free time to explore while getting us to all the pertinent sights on time. This was by far one of the highlights of our two week European vacation. Highly recommend!

A little slice of Bavarian Alps happiness
We loved everything about this experience. The Sound of Music tour met and exceeded expectations. Jose and Ebil made the experience extraordinary. The Slat Mine experience was great as well. My wife did it as a child and was better than she remembered.

Perfect Location for Mozart
The musicians were fantastic! I liked how their entire bodies moved in rhythm with the music as they played. And, they communicated with their facial expressions throughout the performance. And, the guest cellist was especially good.
The Mirabelle castle and the Marble ballroom seemed a perfect backdrop for the music especially since Mozart had performed there in the past.
Although there are numerous performances of Mozart music around Salzburg, I'm glad that I chose this one as it was, to me, at the perfect location. And, although the performance was just under 2 hours, the time flew and I would definitely attend again if I'm ever in Salzburg again.

Top evening in Salzburg
This was a lovely experience. Service on the boat and at the dinner was excellent. We enjoyed the boat doing a few Strauss twirls! Dinner was most excellent in the fortress and the concert was superb - such talent and a good mix of shorter classical pieces set in the most stunning room. We were so glad we got to do this - very memorable and totally worth doing!

Amazing Salt Mines and Hallstatt
Fabulous experience, our guide Fritz was very informative. I remember waking up and asking my friend, why are we doing a Salt mine excursion? It was so fun, learned so much. When our guide mentioned something about slides, I wondered what he meant! Absolutely loved the slides. Hallstatt is a constant Kodak moment. Unfortunately we had a cloudy rainy day but it was still spectacular.
There was a misunderstanding about pick up. It clearly stated on Viator that we would be picked up in our hotel reception area and to be there 15 minutes before the scheduled pick up time. We were concerned because by pick up time no one had arrived to pick us up. And because I had an eSIM (European) in my phone I was concerned first of all because for some reason I was no longer receiving emails and wondered if my phone would work as my personal number was turned off. But 15 minutes after our pick up time I received a phone call and we were picked up shortly thereafter. Apparently there is a disconnect between the information given to us on Viator and the local guide. I had filled in our hotel name and address. But after that all went well.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
While Salzburg has plenty to offer visitors, it's also a great base for exploring the natural features and castles of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. Organized Salzburg day trips make it easy to see spots inaccessible by public transportation. You can head out to the Salzkammergut lake district to see sites made famous by The Sound of Music, deepen your understanding of World War II history with a trip to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), which was initially a Nazi meeting spot, or even check out Eisriesenwelt, the world’s largest ice cave.
