St. Louis meets Harlem
This tour gave an upclose and personal view of Harlem. Inspired by the many direct connections to my hometown of St Louis. Our tour guide was amazing and brought the spirit of Harlem to our tour.

Excellent tour and guide...very informative.
Be prepared for a lot of walking on this one, but you will learn what it was LIKE in Harlem during the Renaissance, and even before and after. Our tour guide was AMAZING...she was an older lady, but could out walk us all! It does go over the 3 hours listed (at least ours did), but it was so interesting. You'll come away wanting to learn more on your own as well.

Beautiful And Diverse Harlem
The history of Harlem is diverse, having housed many cultures. It has more to offer than some may realize, and our guide, Carolyn, a native Harlemite, knows some hidden histories about this area. She was friendly and easy to talk with. I am a New Yorker who has lived here for many years, and I thought my sister from Ohio would enjoy the tour. We both had a great time!

Becoming the Soul of Harlem
Our Tour Guide Larry was personable, knowledgeable, and funny. He made us feel the soul of Harlem. And took us to amazing locally owned coffe shops with great ambiance & pastries.

  • Harlem is a must-visit for fans of African-American culture.

  • The area is a neighborhood that’s open to the public, so you don’t need Harlem tickets to visit.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and expect to do quite a lot of walking, as Harlem covers a relatively large section of Upper Manhattan.

  • Curb ramps are commonplace, making much of the area accessible to wheelchair users.
