Our bike tour begins in the picturesque Portuguese town of Nazaré, known for its giant waves and traditional fishing boats. Leaving the coastline behind, we'll head inland along country roads, breathing in the fresh air of rural Portugal. The road will take us through wide fields, gradually changing into well-maintained apple orchards, where we can catch the sweet scent of ripening fruit. Our destination is Alcobaça, a historic town with a rich heritage. Here, you’ll find one of Portugal’s most impressive monasteries – Alcobaça Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This grand Cistercian monastery, founded in 1153, amazes with its Gothic architecture and towering columns. Inside, you'll find the famous tombs of King Pedro I and his beloved Inês de Castro, whose tragic and romantic story has become one of the most iconic in Portuguese history.

In Sintra, the Romantic style is present everywhere. It's a place of numerous castles, palaces, and beautiful gardens making it a real fairy-tale town, with fantastic and picturesque views. From its historical centre to the top of the hills, Sintra is like no other place you've seen. After exploring the town, we'll have a relaxed lunch and head through the coast to visit Azenhas do Mar, Cabo da Roca, the most western point in Europe, and Cascais.
