Show (dancers, costumes, music) was excellent!!!! Even the live music before the show was excellent. Salad bar was good. The meats were ok, could've been a little more juicy, left them on the grill too long. Beware, drinks are not included in the price. Beware, what looks like chimichurri at the salad bar, IS NOT chimichurri, they're diced hot peppers. Signage at the salad bar is needed.

So much more than a...

So much more than a cooking class... the activity represented genuine immersion into life within this vibrant city. The activity included riding a local bus (a truly unique experience), and a visit to one of the city's largest food markets (purchasing dinner supplies like a local). The conversation during dinner was fun, open, and insightful, and our dinner menu represented delicious Kenyan cooking. Each step along the tour/class provided truly unique memories for us!

The driver, whom I wasn't...

The driver, whom I wasn't able to get the name was very nice and accommodating. Although we didn't get to see most animals I guess because of the weather too, it was still fun because we really felt like he was trying so hard to find them for us. The trip was also comfortable and he's giving us time to really appreciate the nature and each animals we stopped by.

Amazing cultural experience

This is an amazing tour. Although it took 2 hours to get to the village, it was so worth it. The Masai villagers were friendly and welcoming, showing us their boma and houses. We were lucky to happen to witness them slaughtering a goat for a later evening meeting of the elders. We learned all about their past and present ways of life, they showed us how to make a fire and throw a spears, and gave us a beautiful performance of songs, dances and prayers before we parted ways. Tim was our guide and he answered any and all questions we have about Kenya, Nairobi, and the Masai people. We are so glad we chose this tour on our short stay in Nairobi and highly recommend it.

A fantastic experience in...

A fantastic experience in Nairobi! Joseph, my guide picked me up right on schedule and showed me around this fantastic national park right outside Nairobi. He did a great job upfront inquiring about which animals I was most interested in seeing. When he found out that I really wanted to see and photograph Black Rhinos and maybe a leopard, he immediately adjusted the tour to give me the best opportunity. He is very knowledgeable of the park and went out of his way to help me achieve my goals. Ultimately, he did locate a lone black rhino that I was able to photograph. Overall, a great experience!

Amazing Safari

Simon the tour guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Was able to see a lion, rhinos, hippos, giraffes, antelope, gazelles, and zebras) at the Nairobi National Park. Amazing Private Tour

I booked this trip as a solo traveler and was pleasantly surprised that it was a private tour! Simon was great - he explained about the culture and area we would be visiting as well as more about Kenya during the drive. When we got to the market - everyone seemed to know him! It was a great experience with very few tourists. In the village, everyone was so friendly. Elizabeth was amazing and so easy to talk to. I had a great time seeing the houses and how they, and the furniture, are all constructed by the women (!!). We shared a traditional meal of ugali and it was great. I did read ahead and brought some pens and first aide products and they were greatly appreciated.

Fantastic final day in Nairobi

I had the most amazing day with Peter, my guide! He took such care to ensure I was seeing what I wanted to see and was clearly very passionate about the animals, conservation and the national park. We went all around in search of animals and it paid off! He is a fountain of knowledge and I’d say this private tour is worth every penny (especially when I saw other vehicles drive past packed with people!)

Wonderful afternoon with Obed.

Had a wonderful time site seeing and shopping with our host Obed. He arrived on time and gave us a fantastic overview of the area and what to expect on the tour. He was very accommodating and made sure we arrived at KICC in time for view a beautiful sunset. He took very nice pictures with his camera and shared the photos with us. The vehicle was clean air conditioned and had very nice African music playing during the drive for entertainment. He narrated sites and shared a lot of historical information along the afternoon as well as answered all of our questions. He was very friendly fun and made sure the experience overall was great. The tour was wonderful. Please do book this one you won’t regret it.

Absolutely Loved This Tour

I had been choosing between this tour and another activity in a national park and I was so glad I chose this. I realized I knew nothing about tea and so I learned so much and really enjoyed myself. I felt like the tour was very well thought out and organized. The grounds were beautiful and we received a lecture in the tea fields, along with seeing the different stages of the leaf and trying it of course. They had a tour around the land and showed us the different trees and landscape and the lunch was fantastic. Also I cannot forget to mention our driver Tim, he was awesome! He had so much knowledge on Kenya and made the drive there and back so enjoyable and answering all of my questions. I learned that Tim also does city tours and I’m so mad at myself for not inquiring about taking a tour with him because he was just so informative. Really loved our time!

Great experience

Where do I even start? James is truly a wonderful human being. Throughout our safari, he consistently showed deep respect for nature — unlike many other vehicles we saw chasing animals or blocking their paths for photos. James was mindful, ethical, and incredibly knowledgeable. He patiently answered every one of our (many!) questions with a smile and made the experience so enriching for me and my sister. The accommodation was perfect and the food was amazing — with good vegetarian options. Lunch boxes during safari can be on the lighter side, especially for vegetarians (not much protein), but the team was very kind and always willing to pack a little extra if needed. A few things to note: the price shown online doesn’t include everything. Expect to pay around $350 per person for safari-related fees, $150 for optional activities, and roughly $200 in tips (tipping is a standard practice in Kenya). Also, if you can, consider upgrading your vehicle for $120 — ours worked fine but might be tough if you have back issues. And lastly, James went above and beyond — on our final day, during a protest, he personally helped us find a safe hotel, dropped us off, and waited until we checked in. That speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. The trip was absolutely worth it — unforgettable and full of heart.
