My husband and I enjoyed our day exploring Mombasa. We went to the tusks, market, Beach with fresh coconuts and cassava chips. Then on to an additional guide for old town history and Fort Jesus. Antoni was the old time guide who was very knowledgeable. It was so hot and humid. We then had lunch at a local restaurant then on to Haller Park. The only down sides of the day were we did not get into the Fort Jesus museum 🫤. (Also there are no hippos at the Haller Park) We also think they should have included waters with the tour... Overall still a good tour.
Antony was thorough and I don't feel there is anything unseen in Mombasa which I still need to see. Antony is a lovely guy but he can be a little opinionated at times and prone to conspiracy theories, that said I found that he wasn't the only one. Moving along, he had a deep knowledge of the history, Fort Jesus, the old town, the new town, the spice markets, the business districts, the tusks, and the government quarter. He's fantastically entertaining for a few hours in Mombasa and the tour is highly recommended.
An Unforgettable Safari Experience with an Outstanding Guide
The safari exceeded all our expectations! We really enjoyed everything and saw a great variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, lions, zebras, warthogs, impalas, and many more. Everything was very well organized and comfortable. We were picked up right on time at 4:30 a.m. and returned around 5 p.m., which made the whole day well planned and stress-free.
We travelled without crowds, and our guide knew the park extremely well, always choosing the best routes and spots. Special thanks to our guide Abu — he was absolutely wonderful: professional, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about his work. Thanks to him, the safari was a truly unforgettable experience.
Excellent tour with Humphrey. I truly enjoyed it! I was lucky, as it was just a tour with he and I, so I had time to ask questions and explore. From "Fort Jesus", to "Spice Market" onward to the famous Moi Ave Tusks. He was full of knowledge and eager to make the experience enjoyable and memorable. I HIGHLY recommend anyone visiting Mombassa/Kenya take this particular tour. You won't regret. (PS: keep around 2k shillings on you for entry into the fort and any tips you may want to leave). Thanks again. Ed
We had a great tour of Tsavo East, saw many elephants, zebra, various kinds of antelope, a few warthogs, a buffalo from far away, and even a few lion sightings. The first lion sighting was from far away, but for the second the group of lions was right next to the road. Amazing treat! We also saw a Masai village which was another treat. Highly recommended tour.
Wow! What an amazing 2 days! Our guide
/driver Hassan was amazing. We saw elephants, zebras, giraffs, buffalo, warthogs, gazelles, empallos, baboon, ostriches and sooo much more. The lunch at Taita Hills was lovely and welcoming. The room at Salt Lick was magical and a once in a life time opportunity. Lunch on the second day at Neguntini Resort was fantastic with multiple animals grazing at the watercolour so close.
Massive thanks to Hassan for keeping us safe, navigating the roads and trying his best to find all the animals!
Would definitely recommend this trip and its such good value for money!
