What are people saying about Santorini Volcano

Well planned - correct...
Well planned - correct amount of time at each place. Boat was clean and had plenty of seating. Bit of a swim to get to the hot springs but pool noodles provided. Could have done a bit more of a guided tour of Thirassia / the volcano, but great regardless. Glass floor of boat needed to be cleaned to allow to see the coral reef.

Overall really good
It was a really good experience, but we expected a longer guided tour. The boat was really nice and clean.

Santorini Sunset Cruise
Depending on the time of year, you may need to bring a jacket with you. Food was good. Only beer, wine, soda and water.

Tour not worth what you pay for!
Good place to go, but don’t need a tour or a tour guide as such. 30€ per person for a short hop to the island and then pay 5€ per person to climb the volcano is expensive. Also, to reach you have to take a cable car which is 10€ one way which is insane.

Cruise ships on a walk to Santorini Volcano, Cyclades Islands
  • If you plan to walk to the crater's rim, be sure to wear hiking-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

  • Don't forget a hat, sunblock, and plenty of water to guard against the Mediterranean heat.

  • Please note that boat tour passengers must be agile enough to board and disembark boats, so travelers with limited mobility should confirm accessibility before booking.

  • Visiting the volcano requires about 30 minutes of uphill hiking, so may not be suitable for young children or those who are not strong walkers.

  • Some believe the volcanic eruption may have spawned the legend of Atlantis.
