What a night!

Lucha Libre for the First Time – So Much Fun!

This was my very first time experiencing Lucha Libre, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect but it turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable experiences of my trip. Our guide, Arturo, was absolutely amazing. He didn’t just take us from point A to point B, but truly brought the whole experience to life. Along the way, he shared interesting insights about the history and culture of Lucha Libre, which made everything feel much more meaningful. What I loved most was how interactive the tour was he kept us engaged with fun activities and made sure everyone felt included and excited. By the time we arrived at the arena, I felt like I understood the spirit of Lucha Libre much more. The energy inside was incredible so lively, colorful, and full of passion. Even as someone who had never watched wrestling before, I found myself completely drawn into the excitement, cheering along with the crowd. This experience was not just about watching wrestling it was about connecting with a unique part of Mexican culture. I had so much fun, learned a lot, and created memories I’ll never forget. Arturo was so kind and knowledgeable about everything in Mexico City. From art to architecture to true stories about famous people and the Virgin of Guadalupe. It was such an amazing private tour! Our guide spoke fluent English and Spanish. Effortless pick-up at our hotel too (which was prearranged because it wasn’t on the drop-down list of options). Then he dropped us at the Frida Kahlo museum per our request. It was a perfect day!

A blast from the past

Please make sure you take separate lockers so that you can stick use the tickets independently from your guide. Otherwise, he will have to stay with you all the time and once you leave , you cannot re- enter. Please note that tney just show highlights but you might need to take a separate tour to see other artifacts as the whole museum would need at least half a day and some of the collections are breath taking as the history. Know also how much to tipp the guide in advance. This is a must see attraction in Mexico city.

Perfect Introduction into Lucha Libre Culture

Really fun time. Leo (English guide) knows his stuff and makes the history enjoyable and interactive with references. He also really brings the spirit in the arena, even started a few section wide chants. Each stop has enough time to not feel rushed and we were given warnings as to the best time to go to the bathroom during the show. The walk back to the starting location felt safe even though it was dark, and Leo did a good job keeping us away from potential pickpockets. Pulque has now become one of my favorite drinks.

Fun show, hard to find guide

The show and crowd are fun. My kids loved it. It is helpful to book through viator because it is overwhelming and crowded at the show. Tour is not through Viator so look at your emails to find the tour name. Tour guides should have a sign but they don't. You have to ask around.
