Great day!

It was a great day, with many different experiences. Try to go on a Tuesday, if you can because I think the market is really worth it for the overall vibes and it brings forth questions you otherwise wouldn't think of. Our guide Lahcen was super nice and informative, he shared a lot about his culture and upbringing and we truly felt like we got to know a new culture through his words. The weather was a lot nicer than in Marrakesh, so if you had enough of the heat, it is a good way to escape. The walk up to the lunch was a bit trickier than expected, but with a little help everyone could do it!

Beautiful views. Traditional dinner included. Amazing Tagine. Better than what i had at beldis kitchen earlier in the afternoon for lunch. A Must-do Experience!

The communication from our guide was great. The wonderful Ismail arrived on time at exactly where we agreed. Because we were moving riads, we had all of our luggage in tow. Ismail called ahead to the new riad to make arrangements for pick up. Ismail was full of energy & interesting facts about where we were going. He has a great way of imparting information and a great sense of humor. Come with an appetite. Our first stop was Dar Zite (I believe that's what it was called), a women's collective that produces argan oil products. Amazing bread made right there with different dips using argan oil, as well as beautiful tea. We bought some products, but felt no pressure to do so. There were many stops for photos & to stretch our legs before we got to the most incredible part of the day. Ismail introduced us to Ali, who took us on a hike up to the Berber family who greeted us with warm hospitality and way too much food. We sat on a rooftop, overlooking the village, a delightful breeze blowing and took in the magnificence of the setting. I will stop there and just say that this was definitely an activity we will talk about for a while and if you can request Ismail, do so!

Wonderful day in Essaouira.

We had an excellent day and a highlight of our trip to Morocco. Our driver Badr was courteous and friendly (and shared his love of country and blues music which was an enjoyable surprise). We added the guided tour which really is a must if you want to be exposed to the history and culture of Essaouira. Our guide, Aziz, went out of his way to show us the lesser known parts of the city and made us feel like family. I highly recommend the tour.

We had a great day visiting the atlas mountains, hiking up to a waterfall and having lunch by the stream. Our guide Ismail was very friendly and punctual. I was well looked after by the guide on the hike when I had difficulty. Overall it was an excellent day out and well worth it!

Perfect day out

Really fun trip! Didn’t know what to expect but the entire day was really fun, our guide and driver were lovely and we were in a group of about eight. The breakfast was our first stop in the botanical garden and was lovely and we got to try the different kinds of honeys farmed at the gardens. We had a short opportunity to take photos before entering the paradise valley which was a nice Panasonic view. The hike up to paradise valley wasn’t long or too extraneous and we had plenty of time to dip in the pools or just chill before heading back. We went at 8am and it was quiet and we still had the rest of the day to do whatever else we wanted!

Well worth it!

This was by far our best excursion of our trip to Marrakesh. It is a very long mini bus trip, but it is so worth it. Our guide Rachid and driver Ahmed were very good! We were picked up at 07:05 from a nearby pick up point to our Riad (communication for this was excellent). We were the last pick up, so we’re straight on our way from there. We stopped just after an hour for the toilet and coffee. Then not long after we pulled in for the Atlas Mountain View (10/10) point. Then another stop for breakfast and the toilet about 30mins-1hr before arrival at Aït Benhaddou. We had 1hr15 exploring on our own there which was the perfect amount of time. Our guide Rachid dropped us at a perfect point so we didn’t have to pay the locals fee of 20MAD to enter (it is free to enter from the big bridge where we came in). Then we moved off to Ouarzazate for lunch. We all went into the restaurant as guided by Rachid, but this restaurant (Restaurant Lakasbah Etoile) only offered a set 3 course menu for 130 MAD with a few choices but we only wanted a light lunch that wasn’t an option. As this was an extra cost to us, we didn’t feel we wanted to pay this much and waste it, so politely asked Rachid if we could find somewhere else on our own. He was understanding but made it clear that other restaurants hadn’t been checked by them so couldn’t guarantee the quality. We found a spot just down the road to have a lighter lunch (just fries) and met back at the bus on time. The final stop at Atlas studios was an optional visit, which we chose to participate in whilst others went to a coffee shop. We knew the cost would be extra and 80 MAD wasn’t too bad at all. We really enjoyed the studio’s and were given the perfect amount of time to explore it (1hr). The drive back had just one stop, so be aware it’s about 1.5hrs until you reach a toilet stop, but this wasn’t a problem for us. Overall, a really good day! Hope this detail helps others ☺️

Wonderful sunset dinner and camel ride experience!

My group and I loved this experience SO much! We all agreed it was the highlight of our trip and extremely special. Our tour guide, Hind, was amazingly helpful in making sure we were picked up from the right location, accounted for at all times, and having fun! She took great care of us and wrapped my pashmina at least three times with no complaints. Hind took the best pictures, was friendly to walk to, and let me play music in the car! The camel ride and ATV drive were both very fun. I felt safe, while still letting loose! There were guides along the paths to help with any issues that came up along the ride. Everyone was kind and patient. The dinner included in the excursion was the best Moroccan food I’ve ever had! We made friends with other young people during dinner and hung out with them for the fire show at the end of the night. All my friends agreed that this night was a core memory for us. We could not recommend this excursion more! The price, experience, and hospitality were unbeatable. A MUST DO when traveling to Morocco. Please choose this excursion!

We had an unforgettable day with our guide redouane The excursion was beautiful, the organization was really good and we made great discoveries throughout the day (breakfast and visit of the argan oil factory association, camel ride, hiking in the valleys , waterfall, typical lunch in the Berber village .. everything was perfect and Redouane was very available to us, with lots of explanations about the different places and their history. The pick up is from a central location nearest to your hotel. We traveled about 10 mins from our hotel. It’s really very reasonably priced as booking from hotel or private is expensive. Driver stopped twice for comfort breaks at decent locations. The shuttle bus was okay, an older bus rather than a newer one with AC. Tour guide who took over once we got to Ouzoud Mohammed was amazing, really lovely. Enjoyed the monkeys and going right upto the waterfall in the boats. Lunch was okay. We purchased this separately.

Awesome trip

This was really a full day trip, what I thought was going to be about 4/5 hours turned into a full day. Mustapha who was our host was great, kept in touch before hand with collection details and was there on time, he told us the plan for the day and what to expect. 2st we did the camel ride which was very good and well organised, the camel guys took lots of pics and videos for us and nothing was too much trouble. Then we went off into the hills for lunch and despite being a bit wary of it, it turned out to be delicious, great location looking into the Atlas mountains which still had some snow on them, bright sunny day and good food, was really a great experience. We then drove for a while until we reached the area before the waterfall, after a 30 mins walk/hike we found a fantastic waterfall which was really quite strong. a 30 mins walk back and then the hour or so drive home. If you want to escape the madness of Marrakesh for a few hours I would highly recommend this trip.
