Lovely private trip. The tomb for N was closed for restoration work but we did know that prior to booking. We were really blessed with it not being crowded at all. A nice all round-trip and kind guide. We did it in a shorter time than advertised but that was done to us not wanting free time and not having to queue. All around a good trip and would recommend. We asked to go 30 minutes earlier that booked and luckily the driver and Tour guides were able to accommodate this.

Brilliant day with Hassan and Yousef driving. We managed to cover all the essentials in an informative and non rushed way. Would highly recommend

This was a great tour, the only reason it was not 5 star is because we had 4 people in our group and the car they picked us up in has a back seat for 3 and a little kids very uncomfortable seat in the back. Good car for two or three people. The guide was awesome and was very knowledgeable.

Great half day excursion. With the newer road only takes about 4 hours. Hassan was a good guide. All three places were very worthwhile with well preserved and colourful carvings, especially at the artisans village where they were so complete and quite unique.

Good tour and Raymon was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. We visited three sites including the Ramesseum, Howard Carter’s house and the valley of the queens. All of the sites were very quiet so had the place to ourselves which was a bonus. The tour lasted about 3 hours including the travel time to and from the hotel, and we had a good driver for the trip.

Our guide Soosan was great, Valley of the Queens is very quiet since the Tomb of Nefertari was closed for renovation, but well worth a visit anyway. Habu Temple is a hidden gem, not as popular as the temples of Luxor or Karnak, but in some ways better than both. Valley of the Artisans was very good too Private visit

The Egyptologist, Waleed, is the real deal. He has participated in actual archaeological digs and knows his stuff. He is professional, polite and passionate. He never asked for any tips or pressured me to buy anything. I highly recommend him. The Valley of the Kings was impressive. However, the tour guide does not go down with you into the tomb. Instead there are tomb ‘guards’ who oftentimes will try to get you to pay them for pictures. Some are genuinely helpful and will take a couple of pictures for a dollar. However, on one occasion, the tomb guard was not happy with the tip offered and he blocked the exit and insisted on getting more money. This was a very intimidating experience as we are alone in a cave at 300 metres. I had to stand my ground. Every cave tomb seems to have the same hustle going on where the moment you go down, someone follows you. They act like your guides and then they want to take pictures of you. Then, they want a tip. After two or three times this becomes tiring. My advice is ask the guide to come with you, especially if you are a solo female.
