What are people saying about Kyoto

Stress free tour of Kyoto highlights
Ryugo, our guide, was organized, informative and lots of fun. I booked the day before and thank goodness! He took care of all of the logistics. Visiting 3 sites took multiple trains and a bus. I am sure I would not have navigated as quickly as he was able to do. Relieved a lot of stress. The meetup was easy, right at the station, and we jumped on the train. We had a great group and he took some fun group pics. Would recommend this tour! Also, Ryogo spoke great english, so no worries there.

Magical, Delicious & Entertaining
High quality & exciting variety of food choices, let by a very knowledgeable and personable guide fluent in Japanese. Leandra had a great attitude and fabulous rapport with the vendors and restaurant staff. She was engaging and generous with everyone and comfortable sharing her experiences of life in Japan. We felt well cared for regarding her recommendations, navigating the neighborhoods and food allergies. We were taken on a magical experience & it was a highlight of our two weeks in Japan.

Kyoto is best seen with Yuki!
We had the most amazing experience with YUKI! Of every tour we have taken so far, she was far superior in her English fluency, her historical knowledge and her attention to all the details. She was so accommodating and tailored our tour to exactly what we wanted to see! Yuki truly made our stay in Kyoto so memorable! Thank you Yuki!

Lovely tour
Lovely tour of the temples and gardens in the area of the bamboo forest. Akiro was an informative and friendly guide. There were only 2 couples in our group so he was able to customize the pace for us. Great day. Highly recommend.
Vegetarian meal at the end was fantastic.
Physical notes: I registered in 14000+ steps on this tour. Some of it was up and down hillsides or on rock paths. We sat on the floor in traditional Japanese style although there were short chairs available for those who needed them.

Perfect Kyoto tour
We had a wonderful Kyoto tour with Malik covering the top sights. Malik helped us customize the tour to our needs as we had elderly folks with us and was very flexible in accommodating our impromptu requests. He accompanied us to each spot and shared its history with us - enabling us to have a truly wonderful time.

Highlight of our Kyoto stay!
Absolutely recommend this fantastic tour, the three hours flew by and we really enjoyed it. My husband is a sake fan and so this was a must do for him while visiting Japan. I tagged along with a limited expectation as I didn't like sake at all - turns out my husband has been drinking cheap cooking sake in Australia so no wonder I didn't like it! I'm now fully converted and drank sake every night in Japan after the tour. The hosts were very knowledgable and welcoming and the tour included a history of sake, how it is processed, the differences, how to read a sake label (what to look out for) and a series of tasting (with some food) which meant all guests left knowing their own personal taste preference. My husband carried around the little card sized cheat sheet we were given and it was invaluable when ordering sake in restaurants and buying from stores. Sign up, you won't regret it.

A rainy deer, matcha and shrines expe
Before going to the park to feed the deer make sure you get tips on how to feed them otherwise you’ll be bumped and chased, some are feisty, although it was raining, the beautiful shrines we visited cannot dampen the experience. Elisa our guide made sure that the trip is wholesome, she gave us the best places to eat and shop. We snagged some Uji matcha and ate matcha delicacies, must try soba matcha lunch. Two thumbs up for Elisa!

Highlights of Kyoto
Hama was a very knowledgeable and good tour guide being clear with times and explaining sites we were going to see. The description on Viator is correct. You will see 4 sites. It was busy in April so expect crowds and wait times. Lunch was a Japanese buffet with a wider variety of food to try. It will be a long day with lots of walking but you will see the main highlights.

Our tour guide Scarlett was awesome! She explained everything to us and added some funny jokes at the same time. She got us all where we needed to be and made sure we saw everything. She was also a great communicator starting the night before and throughout the trip. We saw all amazing things and highly recommend this tour and request Scarlett!

Wonderful experience!
This was a well organized tour with a knowledgeable and fun tour guide, Cruise, who spoke English and Chinese. Everyone in the tour was connected by either WhatsApp or Line, where Cruise provided information on each place we visited - links to places to see and eat in the area, and a map of the bus pick-up place. Most memorable about this trip: boat ride where you can feed seagulls and eagles and Amanohashidate. The chairlift takes you to the top to appreciate a panoramic view of the beautiful sandbar and pine forest. I just wished we were there more than the two hours time. Great tour!

Great samurai experience
This was a great activity. They did an awesome job explaining some of the history of the samurai. We learned a few basic sword moves. Everyone got dressed as a samurai and took some photos. And finished with watching a performance by the staff that was excellent. Overall very friendly staff with good sense of humor, but they are good at their craft and did a great performance. Wife and 3 kids all enjoyed the experience

Great experience
I enjoyed the tour very much. It was a hot hot day but most of the walking thru the market was cool and easy. The tastings were interesting and Takuma did a Great job explaining to me a lot of Japanese culture and language. The three hours was more than enough. I was the only one on this tour so Takuma took his time, was very kinda and did a really good job.
