Golden Brown and fun all around!
I had a wonderful solo cooking lesson with Apkeshya and Sandhya. Their laughter and fun made the whole experience very enjoyable and the food was great and fun to cook. The power went out from a local storm and we finished the lesson in a cute candle light kind if way!

Fabulous UNESCO sites tour!
We had a wonderful half day tour with our excellent guide, Punam. We visited four sites and had ample time to learn about each site and explore on our own. We were able to customize the tour as we had already visited The Monkey Temple, so we visited Kathmandu’s Durbar Square instead, which was a must see! We enjoyed visiting these sites on Buddha’s birthday along with the locals. All in all, we enjoyed our time with Punam, who was friendly, warm and knowledgeable. We highly recommend her and this experience.

Fascinating Day trip round Kathmandu and surrounding area
Had a great tour of Kathmandu and the surrounding area led by our guide Shanti. She was very flexible allowing us to linger or take photos when we wished or to move on to the next site more quickly as we wished. Shanti was very knowledgeable and so the trip was really interesting. This tour seemed to be the best itinerary when I booked and it was amazing how much we crammed into a day. It was good to visit a couple of key sites in the surrounding area and not just the main ones in Kathmandu. This was a great introduction to Nepal.

Highly recommend!
We did the private 7 UNESCO sites with a 8am start time and we were back by 3:15pm. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kathmandu, Deepak was a great tour guide! Highly recommend because I don’t think this would have been possible on our own— it is not always obvious where to pay the entrance fees and the sites are also not always clearly labeled; having Deepak & our own driver definitely made this day possible & extremely stress-free!

Not seeing something you are looking for?

If you’re in Kathmandu and want to get out and do some hiking, but not go too far afield, there are plenty of options. Some top Kathmandu hiking tours go to ancient capitals such as Bhaktapur and Panauti where the pace of life is slower than in Kathmandu, and it can feel like you’re stepping back in time. Nagarkot and Dhulikel are only a few hours away, and hiking between them gets you a taste of Nepali countryside and village life, with white-capped mountain views around you when the weather’s clear.
