No better guide!
Top notch tour as the guide Tomas was exceptional. His passion and knowledge made an emotional history even more remarkable. Loved biking about after days of walking, as well. Would highly recommend!

Excellent
Our guide was amazing. She took the time to explain her history and the history of Hiroshima which was really important to us to hear from an American perspective. The tour itself has a good deal of walking so wear appropriate shoes. She took us to all of the sites that were impacted and the museum. I would highly recommend that tour to really understand what happened on this fateful day in 1945 and its impact on Japan

Hope from Shen around Hiroshima
It was a tour that included cycling out to the site of the Red Cross hospital that survived the a bomb and several spots in the epicentre of the blast zone that you might not notice yourself just walking around. Our guide, Shen, is the child of an in utero survivor. He shared stories of his youth and stories from his grampa and grama that were in Hiroshima when it happened. Depending where you stood, if there was a hill or concrete wall determined a lot. Shen provided stories of hope.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
  • There is a small fee to enter the park.

  • Hiroshima Peace Volunteers offer free guided tours of the park and museum, and a small number of English guides are available.

  • If you’re crafty and good at origami (Japanese paper folding), bring a folded crane to the Children’s Peace Monument to add to the collection, which commemorates the children affected by the bomb.
