What are people saying about Jamaica

Beyond the big resorts
The driver and his son picked us up at our resort and took us to 6 or so bars/restaurants around Negril. At each spot, he told us what to look for or what made the stop special. You could just have a drink, or you could strike up a convo with some local folk - sometimes they were characters. No matter what, the point is to get a little local vibe and support the economy outside the resorts. In that vein, if you take this trip, be sure to bring cash because most bars don’t take credit cards. Also a good idea to make it small bills so you can spread the wealth beyond just buying a drink! Highly recommend.

Highly recommended for experiencing a different side of Jamaica.
Although I booked the tour expecting to have a Spanish-speaking guide (they explained that one is not available at the moment), I appreciate that they constantly made an effort to ensure we understood everything.
It was a great experience, and it was wonderful to be able to visit the mountain communities and experience a different side of Jamaica.

Trip to Mayfield Falls
Roads to get to Mayfield Falls are ROUGH, but it is so worth it. Dave was an excellent guide! He was very kind and knowledgeable. I am a very clumsy person, and he made sure that I never fell (that’s a huge accomplishment, lol). The water was absolutely beautiful! It was cool and refreshing. Definitely would recommend taking this tour, be sure to ask for Dave!

Highly Recommend
Definitely recommend the Bob Marley tour in Negril if you’re visiting Jamaica and want to experience the island’s culture, music, and history in a meaningful way. Learning more about Bob Marley’s life and legacy while enjoying the laid-back vibes of Negril made the experience unforgettable. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and kept the tour fun from start to finish. 10/10 experience!

What a memorable day!
What a great day! Being able to customize our experience with an affordable private tour was amazing.
The communication from the tour operator was outstanding from the time of booking. Our driver, Dwayne, was wonderful to talk with, was on time, and drove us comfortably to all of our stops.
We chose Green Grotto and then Dunn’s River Falls. After the falls, Dwayne asked what we would like to do next. He took us to a great shop where we could find everything we needed, including Blue Mountain Coffee. He also helped us pick up mangos and even offered a fruit we hadn’t tried before—absolutely delicious.
For lunch, instead of the usual spot most tour companies go to, we went to Juici Patties. I’d heard so much about them and they truly lived up to the reputation.
I would recommend this tour to everyone. We went at our own pace and did exactly what we wanted. A fantastic, affordable private tour!
Thank you Dwayne!

Great Beach Day!
Rihana was the most amazing hostess. She gave us history on the area during the drive and made sure we always had what we needed during our beach time. I even got a nice massage on the beach! Food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend. Thank you, Rihana!!!

Awesome time! Amazing...
Awesome time! Amazing transport crew. No matter what they will make sure you get back where you need to go! Kirk and Marcel were amazing! Bus driver made the experience fun and all of the tour guides they put us with at the falls were amazing. Just make sure to bring some cash!

Amazing Tour Experience
What a fantastic experience. Stephen (our tour guide) arrived as scheduled (07:30) at our hotel to pick us up (me & my cousin). Stephen gave us a warm greeting and an overview of what to expect for the day. We set off with Stephen providing a detailed account of the history of each parish we were entering along our journey, highlighting key landmarks in good time for us to take pictures. Stephen is very knowledgeable and was open and capable of answering most questions we asked throughout the day. Stephen went above and beyond on this trip, taking us to all the locations on the itinerary list in addition to a few more including Trench Town, Kingston. We had mentioned that we were looking to get some rum that was exclusive to Jamaica as Wray and Nephew is widely available. He recommended Charleys (JB) which we secured for us in order to take back to the UK. He also gave us the option on the return trip back to the hotel to take a more scenic route but warned there are a lot of potholes. We deicided to accept the offer which was incredible. We ended up getting back at roughly 8pm. I highly recommend anyone looking for an informative, engaging experience to seriously consider this tour experience with Stephen. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Anyone wanting to see...
Anyone wanting to see Montego bay or learn about its history should do this tour. The guide is very informative and has so much knowledge about Jamaicas history and about Montego bay. You’ll see parts of Montego bay you would never see as a tourist and get to know a real local.

It was a fun day! River...
It was a fun day! River tubing portion takes around 45 minutes total with 30 of that on the water. Very nice river guides.
Short drive away is the Bamboo Beach club. Nice setup with a beach bar and plenty of places to relax. Food was local flavor and very good.

River Fun
I'll start with the great! Carlos, our guide and driver, was amazing. Very friendly and we enjoyed his commentary. Highly recommend him as a tour guide.
Next, the river guide, Duane was friendly and informative and we felt very safe throughout the whole river run. Crazy how they ride stomach down on their tubes and guide us here and there like that!
Bamboo Beach Club was very nice. We had chairs reserved for us )thru the tour) which made it nice to get off the bus and go right to our chairs. The included lunch was good...jerk chicken and yellow ride. Drinks were cold and strong and yummy!
Now, getting to all that goodness was not as pleasurable. The chaos at the port led to us not leaving there until after 10:15. After rushing off the ship, there were plenty of people there who worked for Bamboo Beach club, but only a few had any idea what was going on. They took buses and buses of VIP Beach Club people to THEIR buses, while we stood there as there were only 11 of us it seemed they were looking for a smaller bus to take just us (that is how we got the wonderful Carlos...he has his own bus/company that Regae/Bamboo Beach must have contracted to take us)
The ride to the river was closer to 50 minutes (only 2 ships docked in Ocho Rios) therefore setting us back even further. Becasue of the delays we had zero time to shop at port when we got back. A 5 hour excursion took 6.5 mostly due to the chaos at the port. I realize they are a secondary excursion vendor and would not be give priority for set up to receive passengers, but a better system of getting off and onto buses needs to be implemented. I will also say, they were the ones in charge of getting even the Carnival excursions onto buses...definitely not efficient like Carnival usually is.
The tour, the guides/driver and the river run was amazing and worth it for sure.

I wasn't to fat to ride the horse!
10/10 there was constant communication before the excursion which made me more confident things would go well. Our driver Michael was great, the staff at horseback riding made me feel safe and tended to. I chose to book outside of the Cruise line because according to them i was over there weight limit. River ride was relaxing and beutiful staff was great. I enjoyed taking the drive through the city to get to the excursions. I can definitely say I would do this again 10/10 recommend!!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Even guests staying at the most award-winning, all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica tend to find themselves venturing off property to experience this Caribbean country’s gems, whether off-shore coral reefs or inland waterfalls. Thrill seekers can cliff dive or explore the jungle aboard an all-terrain vehicle. For a slower pace, try horseback riding on the beach or going for a dip in a natural limestone sinkhole filled with water so blue it looks photoshopped. Most guided Jamaica day trips include transfers, as public transportation on the island is slow and unreliable and renting a car isn’t recommended.
