A great tour of Topkapi Palace
We were a small group of 6 & started our tour at 9am
We really enjoyed exploring the palace with our guide, we missed all the crowds & learned so much about life as the Emperor & all the people around him. Our guide told us great stories of what life was like for the residents of the palace.

Excellent 2 1/2 Hour Tour of Iconic Istanbul Sites
Excellent tour, if you have a knowledgeable and personable guide. Our guide, Umut Ozdiker, gave us excellent overview of the history of the Blue Mosque, Haige Sophia and the Hippodrome. The pace of the tour was good…not too fast or too slow. You must be able to walk and stand for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Haige Sophia is under renovation with lots of scaffolding and blocked views…but still a must see if you’re in Istanbul. This tour was half the price of the cruise excursion…and Umut was more interesting and engaging than the ship’s guest lecturer on Istanbul. Would highly recommend.

Istanbul is enchanting and magical
Mehmet was an excellent guide full of historical knowledge and insight. He met us at the hotel lobby promptly. He took is to all the sights mentioned on the itinerary (Hagai Sofia, Blue Mosque Basilica Cistern) except Topkapi Palace Museum which is closed on Tuesdays. We had a delicious lunch at a family run spot inside the Grand Bazaar. We then continued our walk to the Egyptian Bazaar and walked through local vendor shops along the way. Mehmet pointed out symbols and sights not known to visitors unless mentioned by a guide. His years of experience shows. And he was right, Basilica Cistern must be on everyone's bucket list. Truly a sight to behold!
We ended our tour at Eminonu where we took the tram back to the hotel at the Sultanahmet stop.
We loved our day tour of Istanbul thanks to Mehmet. A city with so much to offer. It did not disappoint but is indeed a magical destination.

A great way to see Istanbul’s sights while learning along the way.
The tour was a relaxed walking tour with people of different abilities, the guide was very accepting and kind to everyone’s needs. The guide was also very knowledgeable giving lots of information as we went around. The perfect thing to do especially if you have limited time in Istanbul, he showed us the sites while we learned about them along the way. We had some rest times to look around at our leisure and he took us to a hidden gem, a sit down with a traditional Turkish coffee. Also lovely meeting others in our group, all such lovely people.

Superb Tour and Guide was wonderful
Kenan excelled as our guide. He was very thorough explaining the history of Istanbuls sights, as well as pointing out the unique details. It was a very enjoyable day, and ensured we took time for a relaxing breaks. The place he selected for our lunch was also very good. I would highly recommend Kenan and this tour if you ever visit Istanbul!

"You have to visit the...
"You have to visit the old town" - Yes, I agree. A must for the first time traveller to Istanbul or one interested in history, culture and religion. Our well-seasoned guide, Omer and driver, picked us up from our hotel in the morning, then we proceeded to walkthrough the popular sites instilling in us the rich history of the past and present. The tour was well-paced allowing time to fully experience the surroundings and to enjoy a nice meal. A very enjoyable experience.

Great cultural sites to view but be weary of construction and crowds
Great experience and tour guide who was always visible and made sure the entire group was accounted for (trust me when you have that many tourists and tour groups it can be very overwhelming in popular cultural attractions such as Blue and Hagia. One thing I did not expect his how much repair/construction going on inside and around both mosques and how much of the internal structures were off limits (which I totally get as they are active worship sites for people who actually live there). Crowd can be overwhelming and have a negative impact on all facets of the experience

Historical eye candy
This place was eye candy for me. So much history in such a small and colorful location. My tour guide Yunus was an excellent speaker. Ge was fluent in english and presented the historical information in a captivating manner. I highly recommend this tour but do take in mind that there is one very steep hill. The guide will allot for some a fee moments to rest.

The organizers were kind...
The organizers were kind and did their best to make everyone feel included. It was a great night!
My only suggestion would maybe be to choose better places to go. At the first bar, the waiter charged more for the drinks than the prices listed on the menu, saying that “for this group, he already included the tip in the price,” which I found quite inappropriate, he should asked whether he could do that. Also the rooftop we visited was extremely crowded.
Other than that, thank you so much for the experience, girls!

Great Orientation/Day 1 Activity
We did this tour our first morning in Istanbul and it was perfect - exactly what we needed to get ourselves acclimated to the Sultanahmet area. We also learned the basics of Istanbul's history, which we really appreciated! Yunus was super friendly and a fantastic tour guide!
Make sure you save extra time after the tour for tea!

Take this tour, it is well worth the time and money!
I think this tour is a must to see so much of the beauty of Istanbul and learn the significance of what you are seeing. The tour was well organized and a great way to get around in a time efficient manner. The cruise was awesome and an opportunity for great pictures.

Excellent historical tour of Blue Mosque, Sultan’s palace and Grand Bazaar
Turns out it was just me on the tour. It was a wonderful day. My guide tailored the tour since we had some time and I got to see a pottery demonstration and a rug knotting demonstration. I learned about the way the tiles for the Sultan’s palace were made and saw some amazing Turkish carpets. The Blue Mosque is so beautiful and the tour of the Grand Bazaar was great. I really enjoyed and highly recommend this tour.
