The town is very worth seeing. History markers plus our guide’s informative comments were great. I travel to learn, so shopping and eating are mot my priority. But Porvoo has both, too. I loved the gentle waters lined with old structures, and the abundant summer wildflowers along the walk. A nice no-hurry outing. There is a lot of cobblestone walking, and hill climbing, so be aware.

From pick up to drop off the trip was lovely. It was a small group and Annette started with introductions to everyone. The journey was not too long and the last part was through the forest which was beautiful and green. Once parked we walked through the forest with regular stops to hear about the flora and fauna. Such an interesting history. Once we arrived we had an opportunity to explore whilst our lunch was prepared. We took a short walk and enjoyed the sunshine and dipped our feet in the Baltic Sea. The water was mesmerising reflecting off the sky, the views idyllic and the peace and quiet just incredible to sit, pause and relax. We all met back for lunch. Annette explained our local delicacies, which she had carried on her back from the van. My many dietary needs were catered for and I am extremely grateful, it is not often to get to enjoy a catered picnic when thinking about your diet. The communication about this from start to finish was excellent. Thank you Kia. We headed back a different route again enjoying our surroundings. It was a lovely way to enjoy Finland’s nature and I would highly recommend this trip.

The meeting point was easy to find. Caesar our guide booked the public bus tickets and it took about an hour to travel to Porvoo. We took a walk around the old town which was very beautiful. We had some free time to look around and then headed back to the bus station. The walk was only minutes to catch the bus. The tour was very good and Porvoo is a beautiful quaint place. A little more time to look around would have been nice.

I loved it! It was so nice to get out in nature and not worry about getting lost, as I sometimes do. David was a great tour guide and he has so much knowledge and respect for the nature. He showed us all the types of berries, trees, and bog plants in the area. We even saw a poisonous snake and David was fully informed and ready to handle any situation (nothing bad happened). The lake views are gorgeous and the air is so fresh.

Pick up and drop was amazing, smooth ride on the ferry (to and from) and Eugenia was a wonderfully informative guide! She was very knowledgeable about the history of Estonia. She had a quick and thorough answer for every question that was asked. Very personable as well.

Marius was a very good guide with nice energy, knowledgeable, and funny. I took during a 7 hour layover. I had time before to get coffee and karjalanpiirakka. Then after, went to a recommended restaurant for good salmon soup, and reindeer with mash. The tour took us around a fair amount of Helsinki centre, and ended near the railway station which was ideal.

There’s a good mix of walking and sightseeing from the van. Dress in layers depending on the weather. We didn’t get a lunch break - too much to see. There were a couple of places I wish we could have stopped but didn’t. Oh well. All in all a very good tour. It was a good use of time with only a couple of days in Helsinki.

The guide took us on a wide array of locations around central Helsinki. The tour is fun, informative, and not difficult. It is interesting to see the city from the perspective of a non-native local resident (the guide is an American student) - it may even be more valuable for a tourist than getting the perspective of a local guide. The guide has a good sense of humor which is apparent throughout the tour and a unique style. Well, actually, he could have used the word "actually" a bit less, it's kind of distracting, but not so much that it interferes with the experience. Anyway, highly recommended.
