In Kauai, the Honu seem to have embraced the Aloha spirit, frequently greeting divers with curiosity and interest. Having been protected by the endangered species act since 1979, the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle has very little fear of the divers that visit their home. We're fairly certain they would throw you a "shaka" as they swam by, if only they had opposable thumbs. With over 1,250 endemic species in the Hawaiian Islands, the Honu is just one of the many exciting animals you will experience on your tour. Macro photographers will be thrilled by the vast diversity of nudibranch, cowries, pipefish, and colorful crustations. We teaches people how to surf at the Sheraton Beach in Poipu. It is very safe, with only four people per instructor. Instructors also stay with the surfers for the full lesson, never leaving them alone in the ocean. Instructors start out with a 10-15 minute land lesson at Poipu Surf (2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka St h151 Poipu, Hi. 96756), educating surfers about the surfboard, how to paddle the board, how to stand up, closing with ocean safety tips. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water catching waves.

Get a 90-minute personalized surfing lesson, with a friendly, easygoing instructor, catering to your skill level. As long as you can swim, there is no other experience necessary.

Our Captain and mates have travelled all over the polynesian islands to experience other whale-watching tours and have used all the information we've learned from different cultures and tours to make this experience the best we can.
