What are people saying about Glasgow

Jack was wonderful guide tour. We enjoyed our trip and breathtaking scenic views.
Our guide tour was Jack. He was very funny and informative. He 'bamboozled' us with stories of history, wars, and even folk songs. The mountains were snow-capped and stunning. We saw the Highland cows and deers. Highly recommended and Value for money trip. The breathtaking scenic views will make your day!

Dave, our hero!
A very relaxed tour that provided plenty of photo ops and adequate rest breaks. Our guide Dave (NOT DAVID, says he!) was cheerful, very funny, and very informative. The weather turned beastly on the way home; still he maneuvered the van with skill. I might have been frightened with a lesser man in charge!

Gary was an spectacular guide. The views, the loch and the castle were good but what made me for me a great experience is Gary’s sense of humour and the stories he told.
Callander 5/5
Loch lommond cruise 2/5 (it is a big lake but the cruise trip was a bit boring and the views were not as great as I was anticipating)
Stirling castle 4/5 (very impressive)
Definitely recommended.

Great tour with a great guide!
Traveled with Jack and had a great day! He gave a lot of information and answered all of the questions that the group had. We had the perfect amount of time in each location. On the way back to the city he gave the group an option of what to do and everyone picked the Highland cows. Great tour and highly recommend it!

Amazing Educative Tour
Very good experience top to bottom. Everything was on time and as planned, the mini-van was new and comfortable, the tour is very well-thought so it is comprehensive and very educative but well-paced so you don’t feel in a rush at every stop.
Johnny, our guide, was absolutely great. He gave valuable information throughout the entire day. I would totally recommend this tour and Discover Scotland.

a must do tour when in Glasgow
We booked this tour via Viator. Our guide/driver, Jim, was excellent and had a great knowledge of the area and its history. He was very helpful and entertaining. The weather was against us all the way to our destination and back, and there was nothing anyone could do about these things.
Having said that, I would like to point out a few things to be reviewed by the tour company.
1. The meeting place was confusing for us, it had a different street listed on our ticket, so we spent a good few minutes looking for the taxi rank at the stated street address. The actual taxi rank was at a different street access.
2. The van is a bit too small, or the spaces between the rows of seats were not even; the three of us were sitting at the back with minimal leg room, while the people seated in front of us had bigger legroom. I am sure we paid the same amount for the tour, and it did not seem fair to have these differences in comfort levels.
3. Our lunch stop passed by a village with pubs and other outlets for food, which would have been a better option for food instead of the Tourist information venue allocated for lunch stops.
4. The food offered at the lunch venue was awful to say the least, with a very high price tag attached to it. We were not happy with what we ordered, but we had to eat it as we had no other option. We suggest the company reviews this

Wet, wet day but Tour was great!
It is a long day and would be much better to take in the summer, less chance of rain and fog to hide the beauty of the Highlands. Even though it was a wet day our tour guide was great. She talked about the history of Scotland and had many interesting tidbits about the area we were visiting. She stayed alert to the weather and tried to make the trip as pleasant as possible.

Great day trip from...
Great day trip from Edinburgh. Scott met us at the rail station and led us through the city in an informative and relaxed tour. He was great at showing us historical and cultural ( murals were beautiful ) points of interest. He also shared spots to get a great meal, which we did take his advice for a delicious lunch at an Italian restaurant.

Wee Davie was best tour guide we’ve had in 30 years of cruising!
Arriving in Greenock on princess ship and very easily found the Timberbush tour guides and parking area of private tour buses. The people who previously complained about that must need their hands held every step of the way. Wee Davie was a fabulous tour guide and driver. Yes, he’s Scottish so yes he has an accent. How can you expect otherwise? But we acclimated quickly and enjoyed his very informative and educated commentary. Stirling is a quaint town and nice castle to visit. Definitely prebook castle tickets and dress in layers! Callandar was a great town to have a delicious lunch in the MHOR bread shop. Oh my the pastries are BEYOND! Great souvenirs to be purchased in the local shops there. Lovely stop to feed some cows and nice visit to Loch Lomond complete with a quick visit to a whiskey shop where you can buy locally distilled whiskey. A long day but broken up and a great way to spend your port day! Wee Davie was a highlight with his fun sense of humor.

Informative leisurely walk around Glasgow
Not only informative but highly entertaining. Stephen our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We met at the prearranged stop and took a leisurely paced walk to some of the city highlights and attractions. Stories and facts abound delivered in a cheery fashion. Was a great way to get your bearings and revisit some of the spots you might want to take a better look at. Great value for money. Highly recommend.

Worthwhile outing!!! A must!
Wonderful way to combine tea time with a visual tour of city!! The food was so good we were stuffed-plenty of carbs, sweets, tea, champagne and gin overfilled our tummies ( including gluten free!!). Had bathroom break halfway thank goodness. Ended with a great sing along through the streets. The tour didn’t go deep into historical facts on every turn BUT THAT IS OK!! We got a visual tour of the circumference of city to help us acclimate to Glasgow while enjoying a unique fun time inside bus. The three bus hosts were tremendous and worked their tails off to make sure we had everything we needed including incredible gluten free trays for my friend!!!
