Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!
We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time onboard with us and we hope to welcome you onboard again soon!
Best wishes,
The Busy Bus team.

Tour leader was very good we were disappointed that if you just wanted to look at the outside of the castle the bus waited and took you into town for the meeting place. If you took the castle tour you had to walk. On a nice day the 10 minute walk wouldn't have been a problem. In the pouring rain we got drenched.. it would have been great if the bus could have come back for those that took the tour after a half hour. Other than that the tour was great.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you for your feedback and for your kind words about our tour leader. We completely understand how the walk in the rain was frustrating. Unfortunately, due to parking restrictions outside the castle, we’re unable to wait there, which is why the bus has to meet passengers in town. We appreciate your understanding and are glad to hear that overall you enjoyed the tour. We hope to welcome you on another Scottish adventure under sunnier skies next time!
Shirley_P, Oct 2025
It is a long day and would be much better to take in the summer, less chance of rain and fog to hide the beauty of the Highlands. Even though it was a wet day our tour guide was great. She talked about the history of Scotland and had many interesting tidbits about the area we were visiting. She stayed alert to the weather and tried to make the trip as pleasant as possible.
Response from Host, Oct 2025
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear that our guide made your Scotland adventure enjoyable and shared so many interesting stories about the Highlands. You’re right — summer can offer a bit more sunshine and clearer views, but even on a wet day, the Highlands have their own wild beauty!
Melinda_P, Sep 2025
Sandra did great telling us about the Scottish highlands. She had written information, talked extensively about the region, played Scottish music and even had Scottish treats for us. We were not able to see the last 2 spots listed on the tour which was disappointing.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed Sandra’s storytelling, Scottish music, and treats. 😊
Our top priority is always getting you back to your ship on time, which sometimes means adjusting the stops. The good news is that the views from our last stop can actually be seen from our first stop, so you still got to enjoy the beauty of the whole route!
We hope to welcome you on another Scottish adventure in the future.

Enjoyed the villages and the first castle stop. The castle we wanted to see the most was closed. Disappointed
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the villages and your first castle stop. Please note that, as mentioned in our product information, the castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The grounds are still accessible via a scenic 800-metre walk from the drop-off point, perfect for photos and enjoying the beautiful setting. Entry to the castle is not included in the cost of the ticket, but we hope you still enjoyed the experience.
Bruce_R, Sep 2025
It was a great tour. However, we started 1/2 late and rushed back to the ship 1 1/2 hours before we sailed. Therefore, we skipped one stop and rushed at another. Subsequently, 4 stars instead of 5.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Our BusyBus driver-guide was notified by our contact at Greenock Cruise Terminal that your ship, the Regal Princess, would be departing port at 17:30, meaning all passengers needed to be back on board no later than 16:30. As part of our service, we always guarantee a return to port at least one hour before “all aboard,” as ensuring you never miss your ship is always our highest priority.
I have personally been in contact with your guide and driver, and both confirmed the group returned to port at 16:00. The timings on your ticket were 08:30–16:30, so this was only 30 minutes earlier than scheduled. This unfortunately meant the final stop at Luss had to be omitted, but views were enjoyed earlier in the day.
David_H, Sep 2025
Guide rushed us through lunch, told us our ship was leaving early which it wasn’t! Kept telling the driver to step on it but he didn’t listen to him. Wouldn’t go to the last stop on the tour he said we’d miss the ship but we got back over an hour and a half before the ship was leaving. Driver was great but not the guide, I tipped the driver only.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with your tour experience.

Excellent tour! Great tour guide. Only issues: the speaker crackled all the time and they didn’t open the middle door to get on and off! Had to wait through everyone to get out
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the Scotland Adventure and that your tour guide made the experience memorable.
Regarding the middle door, this is an emergency fire exit and cannot be used for boarding or disembarking. For safety reasons, all guests must use the front door, which is why there may have been a brief wait while everyone exited. We appreciate your understanding.
We also appreciate your feedback about the speaker and will look into it to ensure the sound system is in the best condition for future tours.
Terry_F, Sep 2025
The tour visited very interesting historical sites. When you make the booking be very careful of the times. Our tour was cut short because ship was leaving early
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the historical sites on the tour. We do understand it can feel disappointing when a tour is shorter than expected, but our top priority is always ensuring guests return to their cruise ship on time. Regardless of the time booked, we guarantee everyone is back at least one hour before the ship’s all-aboard. Your understanding is greatly appreciated, and we hope to welcome you again.
Mae_B, Aug 2025
Experience was stressful at the end due to us getting back to the ship late. Overall good narration and a safe driver at the wheel. I feel it was inappropriate for Lee to solicit tips for himself and Michael. We are accustomed to tipping the tour folks with out being asked.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Gratuity is always completely optional and at a guest’s discretion, and we apologise if you felt this was not reflected. Our tours are delivered in a fun and friendly manner, and sometimes our guides make light-hearted jokes about tips, but it is never expected.
The traffic upon your return was heavy and unforeseen, which was unfortunately out of our control, but we always ensure our guests make it back to the ship with plenty of time for ‘all aboard’. We truly appreciate your comments as they help us continue to improve, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure in the future.
Shar_M, Aug 2025
We were able to see lots of things in a short amount of time.
The downside was not being able to spend time at each place. It felt very rushed at times.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you were able to see so much during your tour. As this is an 8-hour tour with our priority being getting you back to the ship on time, we provide little tasters at each stop to give a true insight into the overall history and highlights of Scotland. We appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you on another adventure soon, perhaps with a tour designed for a more leisurely pace.
Martha_F, Aug 2025
No more after the last stop. We were tired and it was loud. You might get back late. It was enjoyable but too long.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that, despite the long day, you enjoyed your tour and appreciated the attention our team provides. We understand that the music quiz was a bit too loud for you, and we’ll ensure this feedback is shared with the team. We also want to reassure you that, in our 23 years of experience, our BusyBus tours have never been late returning for a ship, and we do not plan to start now. Your comfort and enjoyment remain a top priority, and we hope to welcome you on another adventure soon — perhaps a slightly shorter one next time for a more relaxed pace.
Claudia_C, Aug 2025
Long day spent mostly on a large bus, seeing ruins, small towns. The place to eat was too crowded and one had even run out of food
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you joined us and appreciate your comments. BusyBus does not provide food, and the availability at local stops is, of course, out of our control. That said, we always suggest bringing your own food and snacks to enjoy at the various stops along the way.
Yes, we certainly aim to deliver a full day of sightseeing, providing excellent value for money. A large bus with luxury seats, air conditioning, and a toilet ensures comfort for all our passengers.
We’re sorry that your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations, but we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve.
Lauren_H, Aug 2025
This was a 7 hour tour and we spent 4 hours of it on the bus mostly sitting in traffic. Be aware that the same thing may happen to you due to road construction, traffic, and bridge closures. I feel like if they knew this was a possibility the tour should have been cancelled. We didn’t get to go to half the places listed, and the ones we did go to we felt rushed. Only went to one castle and wasn’t sure if we could even get tickets to go inside so we just got pictures of the outside, plus there wasn’t much time to do that and shop in the town of Inveraray, didn’t get to go to the Green Welly Stop and Kilchurn Castle, also no ferry ride on Loch Lomond because she could not get anyone to answer the phone. Very disappointed that we paid over $100 per person for this.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, due to flooding the day before your tour, the authorities decided to keep the Erskine Bridge closed for an extra day to carry out repair works. This was not known until your guide was already travelling to work on the day of your tour and was entirely outside the control of the BusyBus office.
We pride ourselves on accommodating cruise ship passengers, and your docking schedule is always our highest priority. In the Scottish Highlands, many roads are extremely narrow, so taking an alternative bridge or route to certain destinations would have added over two hours to the journey — something we would never risk, as it could have meant missing your ship’s departure.
While these road closures and delays were beyond our control, we hope you were still able to appreciate the dedication of our guides, who work hard to deliver the best possible experience under challenging circumstances.
If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us directly at info@busybus.co.uk

This is was a great excursion to see the Scotland highlands. It was very informative and the tour guide was friendly.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your kind review! We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring the Scottish Highlands and found the tour informative.
Out of curiosity — did you spot any of the iconic Highland cows along the way?
Bernard_L, Aug 2025
You can't really blame the guide nor the tour but it was just one of those days. The bridge was closed so we had to make a detour of almost an hour. Thus threw off the timing of the entire tour. The road to Inverary was being repaired from a rock slide so we had no time at Inverary castle and there were no tickets any way. We spent hours driving with short stops and an hour break to get lunch in a town with overcrowded restaurants and few options. With a time constraint to get back to the ship topping it off. It was definitely not worth the money nor the effort. If we gad known we would have canceled. Somebody should have known!!

Long travel on narrow roads lined tightly with trees so little view. When we stopped we had short time to visit any site. The hosts were good and the bus was clean and nice. We had to skip the last listed site to get back on time.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We like to take our guests off the beaten path so they can truly experience the Scottish Highlands, even if that sometimes means travelling along narrow, tree-lined roads. Our top priority is always getting you back to your cruise ship on time, so on this occasion, skipping our stop at Luss was more important to us than risking you missing your ship’s all-aboard time. We’re glad you found the hosts welcoming and the bus comfortable, and we hope you enjoyed the unique views of the Highlands along the way.
TammyD_B, Aug 2025
We enjoyed everything about the trip. Timing was just right. The Green Welly had decently priced souvenirs. Guide and driver were on point.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re so glad you enjoyed the trip and found the timing just right. It’s great to hear you discovered some treasures at the Green Welly — what souvenirs did you end up taking home?
Ellen_F, Aug 2025
Excellent tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and driver. Plenty of stops for breaks and snacks. Lunch in a quaint town. I would highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for joining our Scotland adventure from Greenock! We’re so glad you enjoyed the day, the friendly guiding, and our stop for lunch in such a charming town. We hope to see you back for more Scottish discoveries soon!

A lovely day in Scotland visiting Inveraray, Luss, Kilchurn Castle ruins and the whole coastline of Loch Lomond. The bus was full, but everyone was timely.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed exploring Inveraray, Kilchurn Castle, and the stunning Loch Lomond coastline with us. The bus may have been full, but we say the more the merrier on our tours — we love showing as many people as possible the highlights of the Scottish Highlands!
Carol_P, Aug 2025
Poor sound system on the bus. Tour was interesting. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful. We would recommend if they can fix the audio.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Hi Carol,
Please see email below sent to you on Thursday 7th August, we have not yet received a response.
Thank you for bringing your concern to my attention in your email below.
I am sorry you are not happy with the service provided by BusyBus, in relation to your Scotland Adventure on Tuesday 5th August.
As I understand it, you are concerned that:
1. The sound system was not working properly and therefore you could not hear your Guide clearly.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood your concerns, as I am looking into the points you have made as a matter of urgency, with our Guide Viola.
We will be in touch within 7 days - In the meantime, please do get in touch again if I can be of further assistance.
I would like to express how much we value the time you have taken to contact BusyBus.
Nigel_P, Aug 2025
Our guide Viola was very knowledgeable, and our driver Michael was safe driver. inverary Castle was closed on the day of our tour, and we never visited a distillery which was supposed to be included on the tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback and kind words about Viola and Michael — we’re glad you felt safe and well-informed throughout the tour!
We’re sorry for any confusion regarding Inveraray Castle. It is indeed closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which is noted in the Things to Know section of our tour information. As for the distillery, we don’t include a visit in our itinerary, though we understand how that could have been unclear if there was any misunderstanding.
We appreciate your comments and will continue working to make all details as clear as possible. We hope to welcome you on another BusyBus adventure in the future!
Emma_W, Jul 2025
Brilliant tour Lee and Graham bent over backwards to make this on of the best tours on our recent cruise! High energy and great information from the start. Beautiful scenery and a bagpipes played at Luss gave it the icing on the cake! Great service Busy Bus Company xx
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you so much for the fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear you had such a brilliant time with Lee and Graham — they really do go the extra mile to make each tour special. We’re curious… between Kilchurn Castle and Inveraray Castle, which one was your favourite? Each has its own charm, and we’d love to hear which one stood out to you!
Thanks again for choosing BusyBus and we hope to welcome you back for more adventures soon...
Jonathan_M, Jul 2025
We had a great tour of the countryside, a couple loch’s, plenty of stops to stretch legs and local shops for mementos. Lee was a great guide and Fergie was an excellent driver who also played along well with all of Lee’s dad jokes. I would very much recommend this tour to anyone looking for an entertaining and educational experience
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thanks so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the tour, from the Scottish countryside to the stops for souvenir shopping. Lee and Fergie will be happy to hear you appreciated their teamwork—and Lee’s dad jokes! We really appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you on another adventure soon.
Cathy_M, Jul 2025
Long tour but hood. We covered the country side with castles and great scenery. Lee our guide was great and Graham drove the narrow roads like an expert
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your feedback! We’re pleased you enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the castles, especially Kilchurn and Inveraray. Lee and Graham will be happy to hear you appreciated their efforts. We look forward to welcoming you on another adventure soon!
Doug_C, Jul 2025
Could be wet and if so muddy when walking to the ruined castle. Other than that it was very entertaining.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thanks so much for your honest review. Yes, typical Scottish weather does like to keep us on our toes with a bit of rain and mud — all part of the adventure! Hopefully next time the skies will be clearer, but either way, we love making sure everyone has a great time.
Robyn_G, Jul 2025
Wow what a wonderful day and experience in the Scottish Highlands.
Did this tour with Busybus Tours. Clean, efficient, wonderful driver Giddian and tour guide Joan. Love the tours where they have knowledge and passion in what they share. Was about an 8hour day in a luxury coach and safe driver.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great experience exploring the glorious Scottish Highlands with us. We hope to see you on another BusyBus adventure soon!
Amy_H, Jul 2025
We chose this tour while on a cruise, as Greenock was one of our ports of call. Unfortunately our tour was delayed by fellow travelers that were not on time. Which inevitably did not allow for us to visit the last stop on the tour. This was not the tour operators fault at all, they did their best to make sure that we saw as much as possible with our compressed schedule. Our driver Michael was fantastic, and offered tips on what to see as we traveled. Due to some recent rock slides in that area, we were able to drive on one of the Military roads. This was an exciting addition to our tour. The tour is a nice way to see some of the highlights of the area including a castle with some highland cows in the pasture around the castle. I would recommend this tour for a quick and easy way to see the area.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We're really glad you chose to spend your cruise stop with us in Greenock! While we're sorry to hear that delays from fellow travelers impacted the full itinerary, we truly appreciate your understanding and kind words about how the team handled the situation. We're especially happy to hear that Michael and our guide made your experience enjoyable and that the unexpected detour along the Military Road added a bit of adventure to the day. Team BusyBus
Deborah_G, Jul 2025
The tour guide and driver were phenomenal
Even with the rain and cooler temps they made the your fun and exciting
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to hear that our guide and driver helped make the tour fun and exciting — even with the typical scottish weather. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure, hopefully with a bit more sunshine next time!
Curt_H, Jul 2025
It was a very good tour. Our guide, Viola, although not a native of Scotland, was very well informed. Also, her voice was very clear and easy to understand. We covered a lot of ground, which included all the sights advertised. The bus was comfortable and we were able to manage a little free time, as well.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed the tour and that all the advertised sights lived up to expectations. It's great to know that Viola made such a positive impression and we'll be sure to pass along your kind words to her. Team BusyBus
