Be prepared to be in water and mud. I think some people on my tour didn't realize we'd be in the water! It was fantastic. I loved it. The place is beautiful and I've never seen anything like it. Car ride was insane, but I loved that too!! Highly recommend this tour.

One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The guide was very safety conscious and gave us a most informed tour. We took many photos, the scenery was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour.

And unmarked black minivan pulls up and asks hey did you guys book a tour for today? Which two are you looking for? Without thinking I answered the hike to the devil's pulpit and he says oh yeah this is it let's go. Probably best if a tour guide states your name and what two are you're looking for in hindsight we got in a van with someone who didn't confirm who he was or who I was. My mistake, but best if a tour guide knows how to approach people. The guide from Budapest was very friendly very informational and an all-around great tour guide. But his driving skills have a little improvement to be had. We literally thought we were going to die by the hands of a crazy driver. The tour felt rushed but he was very informational and knew his tour. The tour was short and sweet and not quite worth a hundred euro.

It was a beautiful place. Slightly fast pace, would have liked to take more time in the hidden glen, didn’t get to see the other side.

Viator was very helpful. However tour guide was not. The docking time of our cruise was changed once. Dream chasers were not helpful at rescheduling due to other parties doing the trip which i understood. However do to weather our port day was changed to an earlier day. Dream Chasers never responded to emails, texts or phone messages. Viator also tried to contact them and were unsuccessful also. Tour was nonrefundable but I thought they should have been at least tried to work with us since none of the changes were of our doing.

Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience with Dreamchasers.
We take all customer reviews seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns directly and transparently.
We regret that your participation in our guided tour did not meet your expectations. However, we must respectfully but firmly correct several inaccuracies in your account to ensure a complete and factual representation of the events for the benefit of our community and future guests.
To provide full context, our interactions began several months prior to the scheduled tour date. You initially inquired about joining the group at the trailhead due to a change in your luxury cruiser’s arrival time—a detail you communicated to us in advance. In our first and subsequent responses, we clearly and unequivocally stated that the meeting point is located deep within a forested area, where precise addressing is not feasible.
We emphasized that all participants must convene at the pre-designated assembly location, as outlined in our tour description and booking terms. This information was provided in plain, accessible language to avoid any ambiguity.
You subsequently informed us that your selected taxi service had assured you of their ability to deliver you directly to the site. While we acknowledged this arrangement, we explicitly disclaimed any responsibility for third-party transportation providers, as we neither endorse nor oversee their operations.
Our role is strictly limited to facilitating the tour once all participants have arrived at the agreed-upon point.
Weeks later, you reiterated your request for an exact address, despite our prior clarifications. As this matter had already been thoroughly explained, we deemed further repetition unnecessary to respect both your time and our operational efficiency.
Just days before the tour, you proposed altering not only the arrival time but the entire date, prompted by further adjustments to your cruiser’s schedule.
Regrettably, our calendar was fully committed, with no availability on the alternative date.
Our tours operate on a fixed schedule—four departures daily—to accommodate all bookings and maintain the high standards our guests expect. Individual modifications outside of our policy are not viable, as they would disrupt the experience for the entire group.
We stand by the integrity of our service and the clear guidelines provided in our tour descriptions, which all participants agree to upon booking. It is our unwavering policy to adhere to these parameters to deliver a safe, reliable, and enjoyable adventure for everyone involved.
We kindly remind all prospective guests that understanding and accepting these terms is essential prior to reservation; failure to do so may result in an unsuitable match for our offerings.
We remain committed to excellence and value your input in helping us refine our services.
Best regards,
The Dreamchasers Team

The driver was rude.we were standing roughly 100 feet away. I called at 9:30 and he was rude. He said he sent me two emails that both went to spam. We got in the car at 9:32 and he made a point of letting us know we were late and he drove extremely fast. He stopped the car and asked us if we wanted to cancel while he was driving .I was nauseous both to and from the site.He took us in devil‘s pulpit briskly not at a briskly not at a leisurely pace, but he was cautious when we got down the steps and in the water leisurely pace but he was cautious when we walked down the stairs and in the water. we got back by noon.
The experience was amazing. The Tour Guide should have been a little more gentle and professional.

Dear Customer,
Your review highlights a critical issue we must address for the benefit of future guests.
You admitted to contacting us at the last minute, at 9:30 AM, which is the exact departure time for our tour.
Let us be clear: 9:30 AM is the departure time, and any guest not present at the designated meeting point by then will miss the tour. This is non-negotiable.
It should not require explanation that arriving early is essential to avoid missing the tour.
For international guests, particularly those aware of lacking internet access, it is even more critical to plan accordingly and prioritize punctuality.
You mentioned not receiving our two reminder messages due to an alleged lack of internet. This is not the company’s responsibility. It is the guest’s obligation to ensure they are at the meeting point on time, regardless of communication challenges.
We emphasize that all guests must arrive at least 10-15 minutes before departure to ensure a timely start. Anyone arriving at 9:31 AM or later will be considered late and will forfeit their place on the tour.
Blaming the tour guide for your delay is unacceptable—punctuality is your responsibility.
We strongly urge future guests to respect these policies to avoid disappointment.
If you cannot commit to arriving on time, please refrain from booking with us.
Sincerely,
Dreamchasers team

The drive there are back was nauseating. It was like being on a rollercoaster for an hour. When we finally got back to the city we had to sit on a bench for 15 minutes until we didn’t fear tossing in the street. Take motion sickness pills if you do this.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your review regarding our tour through Scotland’s scenic routes.
We acknowledge your feedback about the challenging nature of the roads, which are often winding, narrow, hilly, and may include potholes or puddles. These conditions are inherent to the region’s rural infrastructure and are beyond our control.
To ensure a safe and timely experience for all participants, our drivers adhere strictly to permitted speed limits. Traveling more slowly would disrupt traffic flow and extend the tour duration, which we strive to avoid.
Additionally, road closures for maintenance are common, yet we remain committed to maintaining our schedule to meet promised timelines.
For those unaccustomed to such driving conditions, we strongly recommend preparing in advance, such as taking motion sickness medication, as one might for a sea voyage.
Our adventure tours are designed for those seeking a rugged, immersive experience, and we encourage all participants to thoroughly review the tour description and customer reviews prior to booking. This ensures the tour aligns with your physical preparedness and expectations.
If this type of adventure feels too demanding, we respectfully suggest choosing a less strenuous activity, such as a city walking tour, which may better suit your preferences.
Booking a tour without reviewing its details or ensuring personal fitness for the experience does not reflect on the quality of our services.
While we regret that the tour did not meet your expectations, a one-star review does not alter the fact that many other customers find this tour highly enjoyable.
We encourage future customers to carefully assess the tour’s requirements to ensure a rewarding experience. Should you have further concerns, please contact our team directly, and we will be happy to assist.
Sincerely,
Dreamchasers team

super amazing!! definitely wear hiking shoes. I wore tennis shoes and it was slippery in some places. Pack a small towel to dry your feet if you get into the water. it was beautiful and well worth it.

Make sure to wear shoes that are easy to get on when your feet are wet, or wear sturdy sandals like Chacos. I don't recommend this tour for anyone with mobility issues of any kind. The hike and "stairs" down to the Devil's Pulpit are not for the weak of heart. It's physically challenging and pretty intimidating. Our guide was FANTASTIC and extremely patient with our group. He was like a mountain goat, hopping across the rocks. I believe his name was Firenze?
SHELLI_M, Jun 2025
Did not disappoint! The beauty and ruggedness of this hike were without a doubt absolute stunning. The intense colors, the sound of the stream, the smell of the moss all made this place unforgettable. When I look back on this vacation years from now this will be the day and event that I remember. I loved it!

Make sure you wear good hiking boots or at least something with good traction. Bring water shoes and a towel to dry off with!
Gisela_F, Apr 2025
Great experience hiking to the Devil's Pulpit! The guide helped us traverse the path to arrive safely. Its a difficult process but well worth tit once you arrive.
Danielle_A, Mar 2025
Best experience I’ve ever done! After reading the reviews I wasn’t sure I was capable of completing the hike. It is treacherous for sure. I didn’t have the proper shoes and was very afraid of slipping. He was encouraging and coaxed me through every move, coaching me along the way. He supplied the perfect amount of encouragement and pressure to ensure I participated in the whole experience (standing up on the pulpit for the perfect picture etc).
I was highly impressed. The glen was absolutely stunning- pictures don’t do it justice.
I highly recommend this experience!
Loren_S, Dec 2024
Farrish was right on time, very pleasant and informative. When we were at the Glen he made sure we were all safe and got to see all of the sights.
Jennifer_J, Nov 2024
This was a breathtakingly beautiful experience. The hike was manageable and the views were spectacular
BETH_S, Oct 2024
The hiking location was spectacular! This is a quick hike. If you want to get to the actual pulpit rock, be prepared to shed your shoes and socks and get in the frigid water with a chance of falling all the way in. I did not.
The guide was very descriptive and good. However, he was driving like a bat out of hell.
All in all, great very short hike to a spectacular location you wouldn’t be able to find probably on your own.
Katharine_K, Oct 2024
Ferenc was an awesome guide! Definitely book him if you want to do this hike. Since it is a bit more treacherous it was awesome to have his guidance on the best places to step and how to maneuver down. Very cool red waterfall after a barefoot portion of the hike. Would definitely recommend!
Bruce_S, Oct 2024
We had a great hike at the Devil's
Pulpit with a kind, supportive, nature loving and patient guide.
Highly recommend to hikers.
Jenna_H, Oct 2024
Our guide was so knowledgable and kind! He knew all the tips and tricks to find the best spots in the Glen and how to get amazing photos. He also knew exactly how to safely get through the water to get to the most secluded spots and ensured you could do so safely. It was such a a personal and cool experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!!
Amy_C, Sep 2024
The guide was very helpful when it came to navigating the climb down and back up. A great way yo spend a few hours.
Catherine_G, Sep 2024
Great guide who was patient and very helpful. This was a fantastic adventure hiking to the Glen and seeing the beauty of Scotland
Susan_T, Aug 2024
Loved this tour ! But its honestly for experienced hikers . The hike down is deep and I am so thankful there was a guide . Once down it was magical.
katherane_W, Aug 2024
The designation was amazing but the tour was rushed
The guide only really spoke on the walk
He rushed ahead, drove quickly to get back for another tour
Response from Host, Oct 2024
Dear Guest,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We wish to address the concerns raised in your review with the utmost formality and clarity.
First, it is essential to emphasize that the description of the tour clearly outlines its duration of three hours, during which participants visit a particularly beautiful location, offering a brief escape from the noise of the city. The detailed description provided beforehand ensures that all relevant information regarding the tour’s nature and physical requirements is available to prospective guests. If a guest does not take the time to thoroughly read and understand this information, any resulting confusion is not the fault of the service provider but rather of the guest who failed to review the details carefully.
Additionally, it must be noted that the success of a group tour relies on cooperation and adherence to the instructions given by the tour guide. If a participant consistently lags behind or refuses to follow guidance, this creates unnecessary delays and potential safety hazards, which cannot be attributed to the guide. On the very same tour, another guest who participated on August 21st expressed complete satisfaction and left a five-star review, despite not entering the cold water of the gorge. This serves as evidence that the experience, when engaged with appropriately, is well-received by others.
Our guide is highly experienced, having conducted hundreds of tours, and is well aware of the time required for each aspect of the journey. Any delay caused by a guest’s refusal to cooperate or their disregard for instructions, especially in potentially hazardous environments, is entirely their responsibility. Guests are kindly reminded to select tours that align with their physical capabilities and preferences, rather than jeopardizing the safety of others or causing delays that inconvenience fellow participants.
Please also bear in mind that other guests may have scheduled additional activities later in the day. Failure to adhere to the itinerary may result in them missing their subsequent tours, buses, trains, or other connections. It is therefore critical to maintain the schedule for the benefit of all participants.
As a final reminder, this is a three-hour tour, and a reasonable level of fitness is recommended, as participants will be walking in forests, gorges, and cold water. It is unrealistic to expect the driver to entertain passengers while navigating narrow, winding roads, as safety is the priority. We strongly encourage all guests to read the tour description in full to avoid any surprises and to ensure that they are fully prepared for the experience. If a guest neglects to review this information, they should accept responsibility for their oversight, rather than express dissatisfaction afterwards.
We trust that this clarifies the matter, and we appreciate your understanding.
Sincerely,
Dreamchasers

Ferenc was the most amazing guide!! He helped my partner and I cross through the water, took fantastic pictures of us, and gave us an incredible experience
Dewi_W, Jun 2024
Beautiful adventurous place! Ferenc is very caring, gives you options on how far you want to go into the gorge, indicating the difficulty and helps you climb savely at the trickier parts. Totally recommend!
